Read all instructions and safety information carefully before first use. Please retain
this information for future reference.
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Before using the appliance for the first time, carefully clean the pans and lids.
3. Do not use any aggressive detergents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or
sharp objects such as knives or spatulas for cleaning the unit.
4. Your buffet server is now ready for normal use.

Assembly:
1. Make sure the buffet server is unplugged and that the temperature dial is set
to the Off or LOW setting.
2. Place the base on a clean, dry and level heat resistant surface.
3. Place the frame onto the base and insert the pans into the frame.
Turning On:
Plug the unit into an electrical outlet. Switch the appliance on at the outlet. (If
outlet is switchable.)
CAUTION: The buffet server will automatically turn on when plugged into the outlet.
The ON/Ready light will illuminate red to indicate when the power is on.
Temperature Control:
The temperature dial gives you a range of heat settings between LOW and HIGH.
1. Place the prepared food into each one of the warming pans, and adjust the
temperature dial to your desired heat setting.
2. The ON/Ready light will illuminate red to indicate when the power is on and
will go off once the desired temperature is reached.
Note: The ON/Ready light will turn on and off in order to maintain the desired
temperature.
CAUTION! Do not leave the appliance unattended while operating and/or while it’s
plugged into the electrical outlet.
Warming Pans:
The Warming Pans can keep food hot for a long period of time, however please be
aware of food hygiene issues when keeping food warm for long periods of time.
Any meat dishes placed in the buffet server must be thoroughly cooked first. Do not
place raw meat into the buffet server.
The warming plates must not be on in excess of 4 hours as they may become very
hot. Also It’s at this point when food begins to dry out and/or the flavour changes.
Turning Off:
1. To turn off the buffet server, switch it off at the electrical outlet first. (If outlet is
switchable.)
2. Gently remove the plug from the electrical outlet.
3. Allow the appliance time to cool before handling. (Refer to cleaning section on
page 13)
Note: It is not recommended to move the appliance when it is hot.

CAUTION! If it is absolutely necessary to move the Buffet Server be aware that the
contents of the Warming Pans and the Base of the unit can become VERY HOT..
DO NOT touch hot surfaces without oven gloves or other protection for hands and
skin. Always use the handles or knobs on the appliance.
Always ensure that the Temperature Dial is set to the OFF/LOW position when not
in use.
Always switch off the appliance at the electrical outlet (if switchable) before removing
plug from the wall.
NEVER place the plastic Lids of the Warming Pans directly onto the Hotplate.
Using The Hotplate Without Warming Pans And Frame:
1. Place the Hotplate on a stable, heat resistant surface.
2. Remove the warming pans, lids and steel frame.
3. Plug the appliance into the electrical wall outlet and switch On at the outlet. (If
outlet is switchable.)
4. The ON/Ready light will turn red once it is on, and will turn Off when the desired
temperature is reached.
5. Select your preferred heat setting with the temperature dial.
6. Pre-heat the appliance for 10 minutes.
7. Food warmed on the hotplate must be precooked and already hot as this
appliance is not designed for heating from cold or frozen temperatures.
8. When finished, switch off the appliance at the wall outlet. (If the outlet is
switchable.) Unplug the mains power supply.
9. Allow the buffet server to cool for approximately 90 minutes before storing.

Questions Answers
Why has the ON/
Ready light turned
off?
Make sure the appliance is plugged into the outlet and that the
outlet switch is on (if switchable). If the appliance is on and you’ve
already selected your heat setting then the light has turned off be-
cause the appliance has reached the selected temperature.
Can you preheat the
buffet server?
Yes, turn on the appliance and select your heat setting with
the temperature dial. The ON/Off light will turn off once the
temperature has been reached.
How long can the
buffet server safely
stay on?
The buffet server must be on for NO LONGER than 4 hours to avoid
injury or damage since its surface can become very hot.
Can I use the buffet
server without the
warming pans and
frame?
Yes, please refer to the Using The Hotplate Without Warming Pans
And Frame section on page 11.
6 - Troubleshooting
DISPOSAL OF THE UNIT
Appliances bearing the symbol shown here may not be disposed of in domestic
rubbish. You are required to dispose of old electrical and electronic appliances like
this separately.

Please visit www.weeeireland.ie for access to information about the recycling of
electrical items purchased in Ireland.
The WEEE directive, introduced in August 2006, states that all electrical items must
be recycled, rather than taken to landfill.
Please arrange to take this appliance to your local Civic Amenity site
for recycling, once it has reached the end of its life.

1. Always remove the plug from the electrical outlet and wait to cool before
cleaning the appliance.
2. The exterior of the appliance should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly
damp cloth without additives.
3. Carefully clean the appliance. Remove the pans & lids ONLY, and wash them in
warm, soapy water; rinsing them thoroughly.
4. Caution: Do Not immerse the base unit in any liquid or water.
5. Clean the base unit with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents or allow water to spill or seep into the frame. NEVER immerse the
hotplate, the power cord or plug into water or any other liquid.
6. Do not use any aggressive detergents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or
sharp objects such as knives or spatulas for cleaning the unit.
7. Always dry the unit thoroughly after cleaning it.
8. Store your appliance after it has cooled down. When not in use, store the
appliance in a safe, dry place, out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the
terminals in your plug,
please proceed as
follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured
in accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live
[L] Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral
and must be connected to the terminal
marked [N] or coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire
and must be connected to the terminal
marked [L] or coloured red.
The wire coloured green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with
the letter [E] or marked .
On no account must either the brown
or the blue wire be connected to the
[EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is
fastened correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse
of the same rating already fitted and
conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA
approved.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician
who will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse need replacing,
you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same
rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician who will be pleased to do
this for you.
If you need to remove the plug -
disconnect it from the mains - then cut
it off of the mains lead and immediately
dispose of it in a safe manner. Never
attempt to reuse the plug or insert it
into a socket outlet as there is a danger
of an electric shock.
