Chapter.1. Noteworthy for installing an electric chain hoist
1.Checkup before installing
● There are several check points as follow;
1) Model 2) Voltage (3 phase, Voltage 220V, 380V, 440V. 460V)
3) Proof load 4) Trolley type 5) Lift
6) Push button type 7) Power cable length
8) Operating instruction 9) Any damage during moving and loading
2. Check point for particular cases
* Do no exposure to explosive places (explosion disposal hoists are available)
* Do not use or make an inquiry to the service center in a particular situation as
follows;
Under high temperature (over 40°C), Under low temperature (under -15°C),
in high humidity (over 85%), in the high elevated areas (over2000m)
In a basin(IP54)
* Especially to use in a low temperature, need to have extra capacities against
breakdown.
* lighting fixtures - keep 150LUX at the least from the driver's sit against any
accidents caused by mishandling.
* It produce around 71dB. For the quiet order, make inquiries at an office
* Control voltage...

LT,LD-TYPE HOIST is designed to stop operating hoist by the CLUTCH SLIP
action for avoid over loading. Therefore, when you use LT ,LD type of hoist,
need to observe the proof load.

7. All the parts of body & every cases
*from the unpacking to setting up
(1) LOAD CHAIN
*Check out if the load chain in the pack is
tied to wire ; which is to avoid mixed-up.
Remove every pieces of wire, vinyl, tags
and so on from the chain so that the hoist
body can be free from the dust.
* Do not use a load chain before remove
every twist or knot
(See the picture1)
* Remove all the dust before setting up or
operating the hoist
* When you operate more than double load
chain, the low class chain can
possibly slip out between the chains to make
a twist. Do not operate it with the twist
still on. It is dangerous.
Let the low class hook to be get out in
opposite way. (see the picture no.3)
(2) Chain back install
* It is necessary to install a chain bag. If
you don't install a chain bag, unloaded
part would be stuck.
* After the unloaded part comes out about
50m, install the chain bag, It is a lot
easier also the load chain can fit in the
chain back appropriately.

* Let the chain back hang down from the
electric chain hoist naturally. As the chain
bag is packed, load chain would be pushed
to be stuck in the chain hoist.
It can make trouble and danger.
Also it is dangerous if the chain bag is
much longer than the load chain. If you
change the load chain into longer one, the
chain bag should be the appropriately long
enough..
(3) Torque Limiter (Sleep Clutch)
*Do not set the torque Limiter on power for
nothing . Torque Limiter is only for
emergency. No matter it has regular
durability, clutch part would be worn out and
unable for the proof load. As you need to
operate low and upper Limit Switch, b u y
a LD-TYPE HOIST to set up. (option)

(4) Body throbbing
Chain hoist body is hang down from the hook or
the trolley in natural to use. As the polygon shaped
LOAD SHEAVE ,which delivers power to a load
chain, spins to , it brings some throbbing.
Do not let the body collide with or drive the chain
hoist without HOOK.
It is very dangerous because the repressed energy
spreads all over the essential parts. (see the
picture7) The body should be hand down in natural
(6) Keep the rain away
Do no expose electric chain hoist to the rain. It
extremely shortens the durability.
As you set it outdoors, find shelter in a safe from
a rain. The chain should be free form the rain.
8. Notice : Trolley adhered cases
(1) ADJUST COLLAR
*As you convert the adjust collars, trolley is
available to be organized with various rank-rail.
(width 12.5mm). There should be the same number
of collars in the both sides of the connector. Do
not install like picture no10. It cause the accident.
(2) Installing in a rounded horizontal rail.
As you install a electric trolley or gear-trolley in a
rounded horizontal rail, WHEEL, or the
hand-powered wheel should be set to the external
from the curve.
Do not set a motor or a hand-powered chain
inside, The rank-rail and the wheel gear of the
trolley will be worn away to cause accident. Take
the shorter turning radius for the standard. (see the
picture no.11)

(3) No partial loading
No matter there is a guide against the overturning,
it is better to avoid partial loading.
(4) Rank-rail.
◆Do not put painting to the trolley wheel, which
directly connect with the rank-rail.
◆Connecting a rank-rail
1. Rank-rail should be connected around the
up-holding of the rail.
2. When you weld strengthen plate under the rail,
take heed of the thickness of it.
Too much thick plates disturb operating. (see
the picture no 13)
3. Do not exceed the limit of the across for up
and down ward , right and left.
Finish with the grinder for the rail part where
the wheel passes by.
◆Stopper at the end of the rail.
1.Attach a stopper at the spacious spot 'a'.
Therefore, you can avoid the hoist
crashing to breakdown. (minimum 'a'=500mm)
2. Stopper should be attached with a shock
absorber to stand up to the impact. (see the
picture no 16) A misplaced absorber causes trolley
to crash.
3. LIMIT SWITCH TOUCH BAR shuts out
electricity before the trolley get crash to a
stopper so that you can keep off an impact.

4. You can avoid any impact by installing the Stopper and Limit switch
for
operation. (Crain only)
5. Additional signal.
Mark on the bottom to avoid operate
failure and damage.

Chapter2. Notice for operating
1. Do not over load
Overloading is much the same as over speeding against the law. If the law regulate nothing
but the 80km/h engines, it might lessen the traffic speed violations.
However, It is almost impossible to deliver enough speed for a steep slant and even make low
the fuel efficiency.
This rule applies to the chain hoist. When a chain hoist is installed nothing but the proof load,
it might be absolutely safe. In the other hand, a motor easily comes to be heated and also
makes the fuel efficiency lower. No matter the chain hoist and the motor has spare to
overload, it is still dangerous as like the over speeding.
Be well aware of it and follow the proof load. A disaster throw you off your guard.
(2) Do not approach closer to the machine as long as the hoist is working. (It is
dangerous as far as the chain moves up and down)
(3) A worker should be away from the load as the hoist is moving right and left.
(4) Be attentive to the any dangerous elements to secure the safety and help the driver
to work in broaden outlook place.
(5) Rebuilding and reforming make the difficulties
(for the exceptional case, make inquiries to the service center)
2, Breakdown prevention (Safety lever)
Put the safety lever , which is under the lower
HOOK) in good order for an appropriate operations
and don't leave when you suspend things on a
hook.
3. Suspending from a hook (SLING)
(1)LIFTING SLING
Do not use the shortage capacity of lifting sling.
Check up whether it is damaged or not.

(2) Safe and sound hanging up a hook
* To lift load in safe, it is necessary to find an
appropriate length and capacity of lifting sling , Do not
forget to use enough capacity of lifting sling for each
works.
1)wire safety : over5

*To check up the bad example see the picture 18
◆About the picture 18
No doubt to check up the proof load, and also be
aware whether it is set up mistakenly
*Slip1.
As you lift it up under all the mis-set up in a hook,
the lifting sling will be run off to bring a shock to load.
This is very dangerous. Let the things to be reloaded.
*Slip2.
As the θ is too much wide, it put stress on the lifting
sling and even break latch or throw the load down. For
the safe transport, change the way to lift up a load or
find a longer lifting sling. The degree of θ should be
lower than 60〫
*Slip3.
*As the lifting sling is too thick to send a hook lever
back, find another lifting sling. It will be better to find
metal adhered sling.
*We service center supply the various lifting sling for
hook to enhance efficiency. Do not lift up the load by
using a load chain no matter things are light or heavy.
It is dangerous as far as the capacity of the width is
very low. (see the picture 19)
* When you classify lifting slings for every cases, find
appropriate strengthed components for drivers.

4. Suspending and lifting up on a hook
When you suspending and lifting up on a hook
* The load chain of a chain hoist and sub hook should
be tight enough.
* Lift up the load a bit and be aware whether it is well
balanced.
* Shift the break of the chain hoist up and down to be
sure it.
* Be aware if the hook is hanged by mistake.
Whenever lift things up, practice to check the above
four matters please.
(see the picture 20)
5. Lifting on a slant
It is risky to work on a slant. Be sure to move the
chain hoist at the very center of it and lift.
6. Handling double hoists.
Do not operate two hoists at the same time.
*As you see the picture 23, when you life up with
double chain hoists , there can be a disparity of degree
from the axis of the earth and it can brings accident.
*It is also risky to lift up eccentric things
*As you see that pictures, it is very dangerous to
operate double hoist at the same time.
It can even bring trolley accident,
*above all, when you operate two hoist in the same
line, set a limit touch bar to avoid collusion.

7. No sudden reverse
Do not use the up-down button frequently. (see the
picture 24)
It increase more than the double weight in an instant,
shortens the life of the body and the road chain
extremely
Reference
* If repeated instantaneous load against load chain is
bellow certain level, fatigue brake is not happened and
if repeated instantaneous load against load chain is
bellow certain level, fatigue brake can be happened
(see figure 25)
As long as goes through sufficient test and proof load,
the load chain is designed well enough for certain
volumed load. For example, the chain durability and
lifting speed is set up in proper way. However, over
load still cause fatigue brake.
* As a load chain shock loaded, load chain tension
waves short cycles; a little shock is always loaded to a
load chain (see picture26)
* If there is shock in a row, it can easily cause a
sudden large tension because of duplicated tension.
* No matter the tension change of a load chain can be
controled in seconds, there can be a large and sudden
tension on a load chain because it shocked when
reduction of tension change is not enough for sudden
reverse operation.
* Do not sudden reverse operation as an electric chain
hoist is loaded more than 60% of proof load.
*It it is necessary to do sudden reverse operation with
certain load (let's say PKg), should operate 1.7*PKg
electric chain hoist at the least.

8. INCHING Handling, travelling load collision
Inching handling (transitory button on-off work for a short shifting) or the collision of
travelling loads should be restrained as far as it brings extra tension in flash.
Also it shortens durability. It is better to use a hoist if you need to do a quick up -down
shifting for placing a mold.
9,The push button code and switch case handling
~ Make sure the contact point of a button to be
compressed.
* Hold the push button switch 600~1700mm above the
ground
* Do not put down the button switch before it goes
back to the appropriate stand for the hoist . It is to
prevent unexpected damages or motion failure (see
figure 28).
Broken or dirty button switches may cause an electric
shock or motion failure.
Keep it in safe and soundness.
* To block the motion failure, check the direction on
the PUSH BUTTON
* Button made of super plastic switch can be
deformed by a high temperature
*Unsystematic handling can cause double collision.
*In case of accident, you can use the stop switch on
the PUSHBUTTON for an emergency ,
10. Do not come close under the machine,
no matter the hoist is on or off, (see figure 29).
11. Do not leave a load.
* Do not leave a load at the hoist before you get out
of the sit.
* As far as the hoist is loading stuff, there should
qualified driver to take care of it (see figure 30).

12. Road chain condition check
* Let the load chains free from knot.
* Set right it before operating.
* Set right for the more than double stripped of chain
before operating.
* As it stands closer to sandy, muddy dusty and so on,
better to use light oil,
On the other hand, if oil lack leads to the problem, it
is better to use grease.
Find out the appropriate type of oil. (It doesn't matter
to use recycle oil as long as filtered)
*In the beach, a machine is apt to be rusted quickly.
Find the rust proof road chain for coastal. You can ask
to the shop or to the service center.
No matter it is rust proofed, it still need to be refueled
for conserve.
It brings ten times of difference.
*Try to put resonable amount of oil, and do not
over-refuel to be spilt on the ground. It can also cause
accident (picture 31)
13. In case adhere to trolley
During operation
(1) No pulling a button code for horizontal move
Do not pull a button code to move to left and right.
(picture 32)
Push button would be break down to cause slip sudden
accident.
(2) Gear trolley hand chain.
As a hook is hanged in a load in a gear trolley hand
chain or a truck pad, hand chain would be pulled in
strong to cause the trolley transform or defection.
Be sure with the hand chain of a gear trolley . (picture
33)
14. Notice : Trolley adhered case
As a hook is separated from the body in inclined ,the
second danger or shock can happen by the swing.
Return it to the middle before disjoining.

Ⅱ. Repairing
1. Electric Current Operations
1.Grounding
LT, LD style hoist has a line which goes from a power source to a motor. This line should
be connected to a ground-wire. No matter there is a trolley, a green line among the four (a
black, white, red and green) is a direct line.
You can find an ground-wire as follows ;
After powered, if the up-and-down motion is reversed, alter the black with red line such as
follow picture.
*For setting-up in the out-door, there should be sufficient grounding facilities against
lightening damage. (Need to found a lightening shield : standardized by each country)
* Set up the power breaker considering the height for a view point (from 0.7~1.7M)
2. Capacity of current switch ant fuse
Power switch doesn't run parallel with other electric motor. Use exclusive only.
♦ Electric chain hoist, Gear, Play trolley, electric chain hoist double coursed button.
♦ Electric trolley, electric hoist four coursed button
*The upper table shows the standard volume of power switch and fuse.
It isnt' applicable to every cases
*As the chain hoist is a four coursed (up, down, right, left) move a cross lever.
*Equalize the load to the capacity.
*In case lack of fuse, replace by better one.
3. Power tire depth

When a power cap-tire is able to supply larger motor
and is longer, it is should be thick enough.
This graph shows the maximum power-output of a
motor and maximum length of a cap-tire line. Four
point button electric trolley type chain hoist with four
point button length & horizontal motor output of captire
is decided in according to this graph.
After that, draw a line across from the point to right,
find in a the intersection of the line and curved lines .
This intersection tells the limit of a cap-tire.
2. Checking up before operating.
1. The metalized parts of upper and lower hooks
*Is it free from breakaway ?
* Isn't it damaged or deformed of a hook or others?
* Are bolts and nuts tight enough? How the sticking is
fine.
2, Bottom hook part
*Is it free from breakaway ?
*Does a hook runs easy and smooth
*Hook's and other coupling devices are fine
*Are bolts and nuts tight enough? Isn't it fallen off?
*Is the IDLE SHEAVE for a double lined load chain
smooth?
Is it finely fastened up ?
*Is it clean?

3. buffer (Loaded unloaded parts)
* For up keeping , change a buffer as soon as it is deformed or damaged.
4. Name plate
*Is it easy to read and understand?
Keep in clean.
* The next two items are memorable for an order.
Be sure to inform the name and serial no. of attachments.

* Check up if the push button moves the chain hoist in order
(Should move according to the directions)
* How long the hook sawing after a bush button stopped.
* Does a proof load work as the machine lift up and down?
*Doesn't it make any noise?
3. Notice for up-keeping and repairing
1. Before put a machine in order , hold up power for avoid slipping
2. Wear a crash helmet and safety belt to be away form any scratch or hurt by
burr or split pin.
3. To maintain the safety against the slip of falling, be sure to dress safety wear
up
4. For security reasons , set up a inspect station, a ladder, and work board.
(less than 2m)
