YOUR ENERGISER

WELCOME
First of all, thank you for purchasing our product.
Before using it for the first time, please read this quick guide carefully.
This energiser, like all LLAMPEC products, has been manufactured under
the strictest quality controls and developed with the utmost care.
The technology used in our devices allows them to preserve their effi-
ciency even in the case of voltage losses.
In addition to this, they are sealed with special high-quality resins to
prevent moisture, dust, water or small insects from damaging the device.
This ensures that, on the one hand, they can remain in perfect working
order outdoors and, on the other hand, increases their service life.

YOUR ENERGISER
INITIAL CONTACT
The energisers Model 24, 24S, 26S, 40 & 40S have 2 front panels located at each end:
..
Panel A
( Output Panel ) Panel B
( Control Panel )
Panel A also known as “Output Panel” : this is the part where the energiser is connected to the
fence and to the ground.
Panel B also known as “Control Panel” : this is the part where the on/off button and the speed
button are located.
PANEL A ELEMENTS
( 1 ) Impulse indicator: It lights up whenever the energiser gives a voltage impulse to the fence,
thus verifying its operation.

selector must be in the (-) MANUAL or (=) AUTO position).
On the other hand, it is recommended to recharge the battery before the voltmeter indicates
8V. When the battery is below 7V, the energiser will switch off automatically so as not to
damage the battery. Even if you can see the voltmeter below 7V, the battery will never go
below 7V.
(4) 12V connector base: Jack for solar panel.
(5) Twilight Sensor: An automatic switch to activate the energiser when the natural light dims
and it becomes dark.
NOTE: When the selector (1) is set to position (=) AUTO runs for 5 seconds. If there is sufficient sunlight it will switch
off. Otherwise it will continue to run.
For stop, it also needs a few seconds to be able to change the status.

“ON” position.
switch is in the “ON” position,
marking the actual battery status.
2
When the voltmeter (when disconnected from the mains)
shows 12V, the battery is 100% charged.
3Before the voltmeter reaches 8V, it is recommended to recharge the
battery, as once it drops below 7V, the energiser will automatically
switch off to prevent battery deterioration.
9
NOTE: If on any occasion the voltmeter shows a voltage lower than 7V, this does NOT mean that the energiser is faulty.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Particular requirements according to ITC-BT-39 for
the installation of an electric fence in compliance
with standard UNE-EN-60335-2-76.
• The energiser shall be placed in places where
they CANNOT be covered by straw, hay, etc. and
shall be close to the fence they supply.
• Fence conductors shall be separated from any
non-fence metal objects so that there is no risk of
contact between them.
• Fence conductors and those connecting the fence
to its feeder shall not be fastened to supports
corresponding to another conduit, whether high
or low voltage, telecommunication, etc.
• The operating elements of the fence gates shall
be suitably insulated from the fence conduc-
tors and their operation shall have the effect of
de-energising the conductors between the lateral
supports of the gate.
• Between fences which are not supplied by the
same energiser, suitable measures shall be taken
to prevent any person or animal from touching
them at the same time. A separation of 3 m be-
tween the conductors of one fence and another is
normally considered sufficient.
• Warning signs shall be erected when fences may
be within reach of persons who are not aware
of their presence and in any case when they are
adjacent to a public road. The minimum number
of signs shall be one per straight fence line and in
any case at a maximum distance of 50 metres.
• The signs shall be placed in clearly visible places
and preferably attached to the upper conductor
of the fence if the height of the latter above the
ground ensures such visibility; otherwise, they
shall be placed on the supports of the conductors,
so that they are visible both from the outside and
from the inside of the fence.
WARNINGS
RECOMENDATIONS
When disposing of an energiser, follow these
instructions:
• Dispose of energisers at specialised collec-
tion centres, following the current regula-
tions concerning differentiated disposal.
• Do not dispose of, or treat energisers as
mere urban waste.
All our energisers comply with the provisions of the
EU Council Directive.
All our energisers should be disposed of separately
at the end of their life cycle. Do not dispose of them
with other municipal waste.
16
• The signs shall bear the words ‘ELECTRIC
FENCE’ written on an equilateral triangle
with a horizontal base in black letters on a
yellow background. The minimum dimen-
sions of the sign shall be 105 × 210 mm and
the letters shall be 25 mm high.
• The grounding system of the fence ener-
giser shall have the characteristics of a
‘separate earth’ from any other, including
the earth ground of the apparatus itself.
• Where an electric fence is located in an
area particularly exposed to the effects of
atmospheric discharges, the feeder shall
be located outside buildings or in a room
specifically intended for this purpose and
appropriate protective measures shall be
taken.
• Do not connect more than one energiser to
the same fence or to the same grounding
system.

SOLVING COMMON PROBLEMS
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The energiser is working order
but the red light on the output
panel is off.
The positive line of the fence
is short-circuited.
Check the fence to clear it of
any vegetation in contact with
the line.
When we changed the 12V
battery and reconnected it to
the energiser, we mistakenly
reversed the polarity.
-
Connect the cables correctly:
the red cable to the positive
battery terminal and the
black cable to the negative
battery terminal.
When we changed the 12V
battery and reconnected it to
the energiser, we accidentally
reversed the polarity, but we
also connected the charger to
the mains.
-
Connect the cables correctly:
the red cable to the positive
battery terminal and the
black cable to the negative
battery terminal. Then repla-
ce the fuse
When we switch on the ener-
giser, the voltmeter does not
light up.
1. Deteriorated battery. 1. Replace the battery with a
new one.
2. Blown fuse. 2. Replace the fuse.
The energiser only works on
mains power.
Blown fuse Replace the fuse.
