The extension tube slots into two
brackets on the side of the vacuum
cleaner. Slide the crevice tool inside
the extension hose. The small brush
slots into the bracket on the other
side of the vacuum cleaner.

Using the Mains Cable Holders
To release the mains cable, simply rotate the upper mains cable holder 180˚ to1.
unwrap the mains cable. Hang the unwrapped mains cable to the mains cable
hook before using the vacuum cleaner.
To store the mains cable, make sure that the upper mains cable holder is in an2.
upright position. Wrap the mains cable into place by wrapping in a clockwise
direction around the mains cable holders. Don’t over tighten the mains cable as
this may cause damage to the mains cable.

Suggested Pile Height Setting
You may need to choose a higher setting to make some jobs easier, such as vacuuming
scatter rugs and longer pile carpets.
Suggested Settings
Long Pile (HIGHEST): shag carpet, long pile, plush scatter rugs - medium to long pile.
Short Pile (LOWEST): short to medium pile, bare oors very low pile, bare oors.
Adjusting the Carpet Pile Height Setting
This vacuum cleaner can be used on multiple types of carpeting. To select a pile height
setting:
Turn the vacuum cleaner o. Make sure the vacuum cleaner is in its upright1.
position.
Select a pile height setting by turning the carpet height adjustment control to the2.
desired setting.

Special care is required when vacuuming certain types of carpets or oor coverings. Always
check the carpet or oor covering manufacturer’s recommended cleaning instructions before
vacuuming. Place vacuum cleaner in the highest setting (Long Pile) setting when using
attachments to prevent possible oor damage.
