Installation Steps
Hardware Installation
Due to the way this Gas Detector works, it is recommended that you install the device on a wall
(wall-mounted method). In this vertical orientation it is more efficient at detecting the movement of
the airflow/gases. The Smart Gas Detector requires a mains supply to operate, so please make sure
that the cables are in place at the location you wish to mount the device.
Some things to bear in mind, prior to installation:
•The Smart Gas Detector must be installed in a room where there’s a possibility of a gas leak
to be most effective.
•Do not install too close to the stove, due to any steam from cooking.
•Do not install near an extractor fan, as this will affect detection efficiency.
•Do not install anywhere damp, like the bathroom.
•Vibrations can cause issues, so keep away from fridges and washing machines.
Install Option 1
1) Turn of the main supply before you begin!
2) Mark out the two screw locations using the supplied template, then drill the holes with a
5mm drill bit.

3) Insert the wall plugs and attach the Wall-Mounted base using the supplied screws. Feed the
mains cables through the hole in the base.
4) Connect the main cables to the Smart Gas Detector connection points and attach the device
to the base by lining up the slots on the Smart Gas Detector to the hooks on the base. Turn
clockwise to lock them together. Make sure the arrow label on the front of the device is
pointing upwards.
5) Switch on the main supply. Installation is now complete.

Install Option 2
This install option is similar to Install Option 1 but for situations where the cable can only be fed in
from the side. However, rather than using the Wall-Mounted Base, we will be using the Ceiling-
Mounted Base with the spring mounts removed.
1) Remove the spring mounts from the Ceiling-Mounted Base and place on the wall to mark off
the drill holes.
2) Drill the holes (5mm) and insert the wall plugs.
3) Screw in the base to the wall, feeding the mains cable through the side, as shown.
Once the hardware installation is complete, you will need to follow the instructions in Adding the
Device to the Smart Home Network along with the Logika Smart Mobile App user manual to add
the device to the system.
You can then set up a Housekeeper (Linkage) Task to listen for an alarm condition and either sound a
Smart Sound Warner device and/or turn off the gas using a Smart Valve Manipulator.

Device Functions
When the device is first powered on, it will normally automatically attempt to connect to the Zigbee
Smart Home network. The System Indicator light will flash as it’s searching for the network. If it
connects, the light will remain on for 2 seconds and then go out.
If this does not happen, you can manually connect via the mobile app and follow the instructions
below.
Join the Zigbee Network
Press the Multi-Function Button 4 times in quick succession. The System Indicator light will start
flashing, signifying it’s searching for the network.
When it successfully connects, the System Indicator light will stay solid for 2 seconds then go out.
Quit the Zigbee Network
Long press the Multi-Function Button for 6 seconds. The System Indicator light will flash 4 times and
go out. The device has now been successfully removed from the network and been reset to the
factory defaults.
