Charge
Fully charge the camera’s battery before rst use.
1. Conrm the power switch is OFF (switch is pushed toward
rear of camera).
2. Plug the USB cable into the camera’s micro-USB port.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port
on your computer.
Note: Average charge time is 3-4 hours. The camera’s status
light ashes green while charging. It turns solid green
when battery is fully charged.

Download & Update
LOOXCIEDESKTOP UTILITY
The free LooxcieDesktop utility enables you to update your
camera’s rmware and transfer video from your camera to
your computer.
Click here to download, install, and launch the LooxcieDesktop
utility on a PC or Mac.
1. Download, install and launch LooxcieDesktop.
2. Slide the camera’s power switch to ON.
3. Connect the camera to your computer with the USB cable. The
LooxcieDesktop automatically checks for rmware updates.
4. Install rmware updates if available.
Note: To transfer video from your camera to your computer,
see “LooxcieDesktop Utility”, on page 3.
Connect
The LX2 requires a Bluetooth connection with your smartphone
or tablet to stream live video. To establish a connection between
your camera and mobile device:
1. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device:
• Android: under Settings/Wireless & Networks/Bluetooth
• iOS: under Settings/Bluetooth/Devices
2. Slide the camera’s power switch to ON. If the camera’s green
Status light and red Record light are ashing, pairing mode
is active.
If the Status and Record lights are not ashing, turn o the
camera. Then press and hold the camera’s Call button while
you turn the camera on again. The Status and Record lights will
both ash, indicating that the device is in pairing mode.
3. Select Looxcie from your mobile device’s Bluetooth device list:
• Android: Settings/Wireless & Networks/Bluetooth
settings/Bluetooth devices
• iOS: Settings/Bluetooth/Devices
When pairing is successful, Looxcie appears in your mobile
device’s Bluetooth device list as Connected or Connected to
Phone Audio.

Looxcie Mobile App*
The free Looxcie Mobile App for Android and iOS enables you to:
• View live video streams and recorded video from the
Looxcie community and your friends.
• View and share videos and video clips from your
Looxcie camera.
• Use your smartphone as a viewnder for videos
recorded on your Looxcie camera.
• Buer video in your Looxcie camera.
• Stream live video from your camera to the public or
to selected viewers.
DOWNLOAD & CREATE ACCOUNT
1. Download the Looxcie mobile app for your phone:

2. Install and launch Looxcie app on your smartphone or tablet.
3. Follow the online login steps to create a Looxcie user account.
Note: If you choose Other Ways to Sign In you must sign up for
an account before you can sign in.
4. Record and stream live video or watch video from your friends
and community.
Note: For detailed instructions on using the Looxcie mobile
app to view, record, and stream video, see the Looxcie
Mobile App User’s Guide.

* The Looxcie Mobile App is periodically upgraded, and is subject to change
without notice. Check the Play Store/App Store for updates.
LooxcieDesktop Utility
Use the LooxcieDesktop utility to:
• Update your camera’s rmware.
• Adjust your camera’s settings.
• Download clips from your camera to your computer.
UPDATE CAMERA SOFTWARE
To update your camera’s rmware, see “Download & Update” on
page 2.
SPECIFY CAMERA SETTINGS
To specify your camera’s video resolution and recording or
buering mode:
1. Click the Settings button.
2. Select a resolution setting and mode for your camera, and
click Apply.
DOWNLOAD VIDEO FROM YOUR CAMERA
1. Click the Manage button.
2. Select Copy Video Clips or Copy Raw Video.
Note: You must choose Copy Raw Video to download buered
video. For more information about buered video, see the
Looxcie Mobile App User’s Guide.
3. Specify a download location on your computer., and click Go.
After downloading you are prompted to delete video from your
camera. To delete buered video, follow the instructions below.
DELETE VIDEO ON YOUR CAMERA
1. Click the Manage button.
2. Select Delete Content from your Looxcie.
3. Check the type of content to delete, and click Go.

Troubleshooting
MY LOOXCIE IS PAIRED TO MY MOBILE DEVICE BUT THE
MOBILE APP DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY DEVICE.
1. Power on your camera.
2. From the mobile app swipe right to see the Menu screen, tap
PAIR WITH CAMERA, select Looxcie 3, and tap OK.
3. Select your device from the list of cameras.
4. Wait up to 30 seconds for the devices to connect.
5. If that fails, go to the WiFi setting on your smartphone, select
your Looxcie 3, connect, and then return to the Looxcie app.
I’M UNABLE TO RECORD BECAUSE MY LOOXCIE IS FULL.
1. Connect your Looxcie to your computer.
2. Use the LooxcieDesktop utility to transfer your clips from the
camera to the computer and delete them on the camera. For
more information, see “DELETE VIDEO ON YOUR CAMERA”on
page 3.
Note: Mac users: ensure you delete all les on camera, including
the .trash directory.

Support/Registration
MY CAMERA IS BEHAVING ERRATICALLY.
Your battery level may be low, or the camera may have been
disconnected before a rmware update was completed. Reboot
your camera to restore its state without harming recorded
content:
1. Connect camera to your computer.
2. Press the Record, Call, and Instant Clip buttons simultaneously
for two seconds. If reboot successful, the green LED will glow
brightly for 3 seconds.
