limitation, press the red button which is located
on the tap. It is now possible to set a higher
temperature.
Extreme caution is advised when increasing the temperature above 38°C.
The person who is to be showered is possibly not able to indicate that the
water is too warm!
Use of the hand-held shower

hand-held showers are located on each side of the unit.

has been placed on this red hand-held shower, printed with the word “DISINFECTION”.
This hand-held shower is connected to the tank containing disinfectant. The
disinfectant is automatically sucked up and mixed when the button on the shower is
pressed.

In the event of contact with disinfectant
Contact with the skin
After coming into contact with the skin, immediately wash the area with water.
Contact with the eyes
If the product goes into the eyes, keep the eyes open and immediately splash with
plenty of water, rinse for at least 5 minutes. Subsequently consult an ophthalmologist.
Digestion
Rinse the mouth with water. Do not allow the victim to vomit. If the symptoms persist,
consult a doctor.
For agents other than Neoquat-Combi®:
Check the safety instructions page of the product that you are intending to use.
Flow meter
The ow meter is used to adjust the mixture ratio between water and disinfectant and is
located on the inside of the unit, behind the locked ap.
The ow meter has to be adjusted when the Amfora is being installed, and each time
that you are intending to use a different type or brand of disinfectant. It will be easier to
reach the ow meter if you remove the left-hand reservoir of the soap pump.

Adjusting the ow meter
1. Make sure that the hose, that is also connected to the ow meter, is fully immersed in
the bottle with disinfectant. Otherwise, no disinfectant will be sucked through and the
ow meter cannot be adjusted.
2. On the packaging of the disinfectant, look for the recommended mixture ratio. Usually
this is shown in millilitres per millilitres (for example: 10ml / 1000ml). If not, this will
need to be converted.
3. Now establish the time in which it has to be measured how much water is running out
of the tap.
You do this by dividing 3600 by the recommended mixture ratio.
EXAMPLE: If there is a mixture ratio of 10ml / 1000ml, 100 parts of water are mixed to
1 part of disinfectant. The mixture ratio in this case is 100. When you divide 3600 by 100,
you get 36. This gure is the number of required seconds for step 3.
4. Open the disinfectant tap and safety tap. Now press the black button on the red hand-
held shower in fully for the exact number of seconds calculated in step 3. Measure the
number of litres that have owed from the disinfecting shower during that time.
5. This amount in litres is the same value that the ow meter has to show when the
black button of the red hand-held shower is fully pressed and water is running through
it. When the black button on the ow meter is turned, the correct level can be set.
Please note: if you are NOT certain that you understand the aforementioned
method or if you feel you have not applied it correctly, please ask your
manager for assistance or phone Lopital Nederland B.V.

Replace or rell disinfectant
• It is advised to wear plastic gloves when adding or replacing the disinfectant.
• The storage bottle for the disinfectant is stored behind the locked ap.
• Open the ap; turn the key a quarter turn to the left and tip the ap forwards.
• Turn the lid of the bottle, watch out for the hose!
• Insert the hose into the new bottle and place the old lid on the new bottle
• Close the ap.
• Lock the ap by turning the key one quarter turn to the right.
• Rinse out the empty bottle properly and dispose of with the refuse. Bottles which still
contain a substance have to be disposed of with the chemical waste.
• If a different disinfectant is used, the ow meter has to be readjusted.
• Frequently change the disinfectant liquid to keep the disinfecting capacity optimal.
Lopital recommends the use of Neoquat-combi® as a disinfectant.
PLEASE NOTE: if a different disinfectant is used to replenish the reservoir,
the LD50 level of that liquid may not be lower than 200 mg / kg! If this is
lower, the appliance will be unsafe and use of the appliance is totally at the
user’s own risk!
Lopital recommends that the entire bottle is replaced and not replenished, in order to
avoid mixing different disinfectants together. Mixing could possibly cause undesirable
reactions between the liquids and between the liquids and the appliance.

leakage.

into for the Amfora.
