Electrical safety
Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance corresponds to your local outlet voltage
before you connect the appliance. If it does not match
up, contact your dealer and do not use the blender.
In order to be protected against electrical hazards, do
not immerse the power cord, plug, or base in water or
any other liquid.
Ensure your hands are dry before handling the plug or
switching on the appliance.
Power cord and plug
Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If
the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s authorized service
centres or similar qualified personnel.
Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
Instead, grasp the plug and pull.
Keep the cord away from heat sources and do not let
the power cord hang over a table edge.
Always fully unwind the cord to avoid overheating.
Children
Caution. Keep out of reach of children.
This appliance is not intended for use by young
children or persons in poor health unless they are
adequately supervised by a person who is familiar with
this product.
Young children must be supervised to ensure that they

Do not drop the appliance.
Use for food and liquids only.
Do not use outdoors or in a bathroom.
Keep the appliance away from heat sources and place
only on dry, even, and stable surfaces.
Unplug the appliance from the wall socket when not
in use and before moving, cleaning, and inserting or
removing parts.
Ensure that the appliance is correctly placed onto the
power base before switching on.
Only use the appliance when the lid of the jug is fitted.
Use the appliance only with the power base supplied.
Do not use the base for any other purpose.
Keep hands and utensils out of the jug while blending
to reduce the risk of severe personal injury and/or
damage to blender. A rubber spatula may be used but
must be used only when the blender is not running.
Do not use a broken, chipped or cracked jug.
Do not use broken, cracked or loose blades.
To reduce the risk of injury, never place only the
blades on the base. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
When blending hot liquids, remove the ingredients
cap. Do not fill jug beyond 3-cup level. Always begin
processing at the lowest speed setting. Keep hands and
other exposed skin away from the cover opening to
prevent possible burns.
Screw on blades firmly. Injury can result if moving
blades become detached.
If the jug should turn when the motor is switched ON,
switch OFF immediately and tighten blades.
Disconnect from the outlet when not in use.
If liquids spill into the base shut off immediately.

Do not place the blender in the freezer. This will
damage blades, jug, and motor.
If there is a malfunction, or if the appliance has been
damaged in any way, return the appliance to the
customer service centre for examination, repair, or
adjustment. Special tools are required for repairs.
Unattended
Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
Disconnect from the outlet.
Sharp Objects and Moving Parts
WARNING! Do not touch the blades. The blades have
very sharp edges.
Do not operate near any body parts. Ensure the blades
have stopped rotating completely before touching any
area near the blades.
Store in a safe place
When not in use store your appliance and all its
accessories (including this instruction manual) in a
safe and dry place.

Before first use
Remove all packaging materials, labels and/or stickers from your
blender.
Clean all parts except the base thoroughly before using for the first
time. Disassemble to clean.
WARNING! Do not immerse the base (7) in water or any other
liquids.
This may cause electric shock or damage the appliance

Assembly Guide
CAUTION!
Unplug when not in use or before assembling or disassembling.
Sharp Blades: Handle with care. Do not touch moving blades.
Place the sealing ring (4) over the blades (5) and put it in the collar
(6). To tighten the collar (6) onto the bottom of the glass jug (3),
hold the collar (6) right-side up. Turn it clockwise until tight 1.
Cover the glass jug (3) with the lid (2) 2.
Insert the ingredients cap (1) into the hole of the lid (2). Turn
clockwise to lock in place.
Attach the glass jug (3) onto the base (7). Fit the collar (6) onto the
top of the base (7) and make sure it fits securely. If not, gently rock
the glass jug (3) until secure 3.

Directions for Use
Connect the power plug (13) into a suitable outlet.
Put the prepared ingredients into the glass jug (3). Cover with the
lid (2) before blending. Make sure that the ingredients cap (1) is
assembled in the lid (2).
Press the ON/OFF button (16) to switch on the blender. The LED
light flashes, indicating the blender is ready to operate.
Select and press the desired function button.
Choose the appropriate speed for your task via the speed buttons:
Pulse, Puree 1, Whip 2, Mix 3, Grate 4, Blend 5.
During operation, remove the ingredients cap (1) to add more
ingredients.
Press the Stop button (8) once the right consistency is reached.
When finished blending, press ON/OFF button (16) to switch off
the blender.
Caution! The blender is intended to be used for short periods of
time only. The blender will shut off after operating continuously
for 2 minutes.
Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The blender does not work. Check connection of the glass
jug (3) with the base (7) and also
check if the power cord (16) is
connected properly.
The blades (5) rotates very
slowly.
Too much food in the glass jug
(3). Remove some food and
restart.
The blades (5) lock and do not

the capacity of the glass jug (3).
Remove some food and mince it
before adding.
The blender turns off during

Blending tips and techniqueslending tips and techniques
For the best results add liquid ingredients
into the glass jug first before adding
pieces. This way all ingredients are mixed
evenly.
Cut solid foods into about 5
cm pieces
before adding to the blender. For fruit
smoothies use fresh or frozen fruit and
cut these into 2
cm pieces.
WARNING! Do not fill the glass jug with
hot liquid or run the appliance when
empty. Do not rinse the glass jug with hot
water after blending cold food 5.
The blender is not suitable for:
beating eggs, whipping cream
mashing potatoes
grinding meats
mixing dough
extracting juice from fruits and vegetables
bones, large pieces of solid frozen foods, and tough foods such
as turnips
Recipes
Strawberry-Banana Smoothie (2 servings)
120 ml orange juice
140 g fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
1 medium banana, cut into 3 pieces
240 ml vanilla low-fat yogurt
15 ml honey
3 ice cubes
Add first five ingredients in order into the glass jug. Press the Blend
button 5and mix for 10 seconds. While blender is running, remove
the ingredients cap. Add ice cubes and continue to blend until mixture
is thick, smooth and creamy.

Refried Beans
Makes approximately 3 cups (720 ml).
960 ml freshly cooked pinto beans with liquid
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
60 ml Bacon drippings or vegetable oil
Drain beans and keep the liquid. In a medium covered skillet, cook
beans, onions, and garlic on medium-high heat until onions are very
soft. Place one cup of the bean mixture in glass jug and blend it.
Remove the ingredients cap and add a small amount of the bean liquid
through the opening as needed to smooth out the mixture. Add beans
one cup at a time and liquid as needed, until all beans are used and
the mixture is smooth.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer servicing to
qualified service personnel.
Always unplug and disassemble the appliance before cleaning.
Rinse parts immediately after blending for easier cleanup.
Wipe the base with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Remove
stubborn spots by rubbing with a damp cloth and non-abrasive
cleaner.
Warning: Do not immerse the base in liquid. This may cause electric
shock or damage the appliance.
All removable parts can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.
The lid, ingredients cap, collar, sealing ring and blades should be
placed in the top rack only.
Do not place the glass jug or any other parts in boiling liquids.
Clean wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use
abrasive scouring pads or cleaners on parts or finish.
Be careful not to damage or lose the sealing ring.
