• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body
away from openings and moving parts. There is a risk of
injury through getting stuck or being drawn into moving

close a door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp
edges or corners. Do not run the vacuum over the cord.
Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

the plug, not the cord
• Turn off all controls before unplugging.
• Changes, add-ons, or conversions of the vacuum which
might have an influence to the safety of the vacuum
must not be undertaken without the permission of the
manufacturer. This applies in particular to the fitting and
adjustment of safety devices and to the welding on major
and load bearing parts.
• Spare parts must always comply with the technical
requirements and the specifications of the manufacturer.
This is always guaranteed with original spare parts from
the manufacturer.
• In the event of operational malfunctions, the vacuum
must be shut down immediately. The malfunction must be
corrected before starting the vacuum again!

• These activities can only be undertaken by qualified
personnel.
• Make sure that electrical components used for
replacement purposes comply with the original parts and
are correctly adjusted if necessary.

dispose of the ash so that you meet the requirements of
local regulations.

• Do not leave appliance when plugged. Unplug from
outlet when not in use and before servicing. Do not use if
appliance has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
exposed to water.
• WARNING – Fire hazard – Intended for vacuuming
cold to warm ashes only. General household or shop-vac
use could increase fire risk by induction of combustibles
into unit prior to vacuuming ashes. Consult operating
manual before use.
DOUBLE-INSULATED INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING - To reduce the risk of electric shock, this vacuum cleaner has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other.) This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet: do not change the plug in any way.
If the opening that sucks in the air or the suction pipe is blocked, switch off the vacuum cleaner at once and clear the block-
age before you attempt to start the vacuum cleaner again.
Special NOTE: This vacuum’s motor is equipped with thermal overheat protection. If the motor runs too hot, it will shut
down. You must wait for the motor to cool in order to re-start vacuum. Cleaning the filter will help prevent a repeat of this
condition.
