AVVERTENZE
Collegamento alla rete di alimentazione
Prima di connettere l’alimentatore/adattatore esterno alla rete, accertatevi che la
tensione sia corrispondente a quella indicata (tolleranza max ±10%).
Collegamenti, accensione e spegnimento
Effettuate i collegamenti sempre ad apparti spenti.
Accendete e spegnete GRINTA ad apparato di amplificazione audio spento.
Compact Flash
Inserite e rimuovete le Compact Flash solo ad apparto spento, facendo attenzione al verso
di inserimento, diversamente si possono causare malfunzionamenti o perdite di dati.
GRINTA è compatibile con le specifiche <CF> CompactFlashTM ed è stato testato con successo
con un vastissimo numero di card realizzate da Case Costruttrici diverse. Tuttavia M-Live declina
ogni responsabilità per eventuali perdite di dati; altresì declina ogni responsabilità per
malfunzionamenti con Compact Flash diverse da quelle commercializzate con marchio M-Live.
Installazione di GRINTA-PC e collegamento di GRINTA al computer
Collegate GRINTA al computer via USB solo dopo aver installato il software GRINTA-PC.
Protezione e manutenzione
Evitate esposizioni prolungate dell’apparato all’irradiazione solare diretta, a intense fonti di
calore, a forti vibrazioni, ad ambienti particolarmente umidi o polverosi, alla pioggia, poiché
possono essere causa di malfunzionamenti, deterioramenti e perfino shock elettrici. Per
rimuovere l’eventuale deposito di polvere usate un panno morbido asciutto o un pennello: non
usate mai alcool, acetone o solventi vari. Non sono necessarie ulteriori manutenzioni.
In caso di avaria
Tutte le regolazioni dell’apparato sono esterne e facilmente accessibili. In caso di avaria

MEMORIE DI GRINTA & COMPATIBILITA’
Per la gestione ottimale delle canzoni GRINTA richiede
Compact Flash formattate in standard M-Live.
Standard diversi sono compatibili, ma offrono prestazioni
inferiori (ad es. vengono letti solo i file della directory
principale, i titoli non sono elencati in ordine alfabetico, non
funziona la ricerca alfabetica, non funziona il filtro mp3, etc.).
Per formattare una CompactFlash inseritela in un lettore di
memory cards collegato/integrato al computer e usate
l’apposita funzione di GRINTA-PC (il software in dotazione).
In alternativa usate le Compact Flash già formattate,
controllate e garantite da M-Live.
•Memoria interna: memoria permanente, non modificabile, dotata di 124 canzoni.
Funziona solo quando la Compact Flash non è inserita.
• Compact Flash: memorie elettroniche rimovibili e riscrivibili, in grado di contenere (a
seconda della capacità in MegaByte) centinaia o persino migliaia di canzoni.
I due tipi di memoria restano sempre separati. Le basi della memoria interna possono
essere trasferite al computer (e quindi alla Compact Flash) solo collegando GRINTA
al computer via USB e usando GRINTA-PC.
Le operazioni di memorizzazione e di cancellazione delle basi musicali in una Compact
Flash si effettuano inserendo la Compact Flash in un lettore di memory cards e usando
GRINTA-PC o trascinando le canzoni direttamente nella Compact Flash.
GRINTA è compatibile con i seguenti formati: MID e KAR in formato 0, MF3 e MF4,
MP3 (con testo in formato M-Live).
GRINTA esegue anche file MF5, sebbene limitatamente ai primi 16 canali.

AGGIUNTA DI CANZONI NELLA COMPACT FLASH
ATTENZIONE: collegate GRINTA al PC via USB solo dopo aver installato GRINTA-PC.
Quando è disponibile un
aggiornamento del sistema
operativo di GRINTA:
•Collegate GRINTA via USB
al computer connesso ad
Internet.
•Usate l’apposita funzione del
menu File di GRINTA-PC e
seguite le istruzioni.
IMPORTANTE: attendete il completamento dell’operazione, senza spegnere o
scollegare GRINTA e senza chiudere anticipatamente GRINTA-PC.
•Inserite la Compact Flash in un lettore di memory cards del computer (interno o
collegato via USB).
•Per aggiungere le canzoni trascinatele direttamente dalle cartelle del computer alla
finestra di GRINTA PC.
•Per cancellarle selezionatele e usate l’apposita funzione di GRINTA PC (icona X).

In Menu Impostazioni Video potete scegliere tra due modalità di visualizzazione:
• SOLO TESTO: normalmente mostra solo il testo, ma passa temporaneamente
in modalità TESTO+RICERCA durante le fasi di ricerca (Dial);
•TESTO+RICERCA: visualizza il testo sempre in modalità TESTO+RICERCA.
Per eseguire una canzone basta selezionarla col cursore (usando Dial) e premere PLAY.
Dopo l’avvio appare l’ambiente di base, dal quale potete avviare tutte operazioni di
controllo di GRINTA e tutte le operazioni di ricerca, selezione ed esecuzione delle canzoni.

WARNINGS
Connecting to the electrical mains
Before connecting the external power supply unit/adapter to the mains, make sure
that the voltage is as specified (max. tolerance ±10%).
Connecting and switching on and off
Connections must always be made with devices switched off.
Always switch the GRINTA on and off with the sound amplification system off.
Compact Flash
Compact Flash cards must only be inserted and removed with the device switched off,
taking care to insert them the right way round; otherwise they may cause malfunctions
or loss of data.
The GRINTA is compatible with the <CF> CompactFlashTM specifications and has been tested
successfully with a very large number of cards produced by different manufacturers. However,
M-Live declines all responsibility for any losses of data; it also declines all responsibility for
malfunctions occurring with Compact Flash cards other than those sold under the M-Live brand.
Installing GRINTA-PC and connecting the GRINTA to the computer
Connect the GRINTA to the computer by USB ensuring that the GRINTA-PC software
has been installed first.
Protection and maintenance
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, intense heat sources, strong vibrations, especially
damp or dusty environments, or rain, since they may cause malfunctions, deterioration and
even electric shocks. Remove any dust with a soft, dry cloth or a brush: never use methylated
spirits, acetone or any other solvents. No other form of maintenance is required.

All the GRINTA’s main functions are
displayed on the TV screen.
•Use the AV (Audio Video) cable supplied
to connect the GRINTA to the TV’s
SCART connector (or AV connector).
•Switch on the TV and set it in AV mode.

Microphone Inputs
these allow the processing of
1 or 2 voices (e.g. voice and choir,

Compact Flash
slot for electronic memory cards capable of
containing a very large number of backing tracks.
WARNING! Compact Flash memories must only
be inserted and removed with the device switched
off, the right way round (see illustration): otherwise
they may cause malfunctions or loss of data.
GRINTA MEMORIES & COMPATIBILITY
For optimal processing of GRINTA songs, ask for
Compact Flash cards formatted in M-Live standard.
Other standards are compatible, but their performance is less
satisfactory (e.g. only the files in the main directory are read, the
titles are not always listed in alphabetical order, the alphabetical
search does not work, the mp3 filter does not work, etc.).
To format a CompactFlash card, insert it in a memory card
reader connected to/incorporated in the computer and use
the relevant function of GRINTA-PC (the software supplied).
Otherwise, use the ready-formatted Compact Flash cards
tested and guaranteed by M-Live.
•Internal memory: non-modifiable permanent memory with 124 songs.
Only works with no Compact Flash card inserted.
• Compact Flash: removable, rewritable electronic memory cards, capable of containing
hundreds or even thousands of songs (depending on capacity in MegaBytes).
The two types of memory are always separate. The songs in the internal memory can
only be transferred to the computer (and thus to the Compact Flash card) by connecting
the GRINTA to the computer by USB and using GRINTA-PC.
To save songs on or delete them from a Compact Flash card, insert the Compact
Flash card in a memory card reader and use GRINTA-PC, or drag the songs straight
into the Compact Flash memory.
The GRINTA is compatible with the following formats: MID and KAR in format 0, MF3
and MF4, MP3 (with lyrics in M-Live format).
The GRINTA is also able to play MF5 files, although on the first 16 channels only.

UPGRADING THE GRINTA FIRMWARE
ADDING SONGS TO THE COMPACT FLASH CARD
WARNING: when connecting the GRINTA to the computer by USB ensure GRINTA-PC
has been installed first.
When an upgrade to the
GRINTA operating system is
available:
•Connect the GRINTA by
USB to a computer logged
onto the Internet.
•Use the specific function in
the GRINTA-PC File menu
and follow the instructions.
IMPORTANT: wait until the operation has been completed before switching off or
disconnecting the GRINTA or shutting down GRINTA-PC.
•Insert the Compact Flash card in the computer’s memory card reader (internal or
connected by USB).
•To add songs drag them straight from the computer’s directories to the GRINTA PC
window.
•To delete them select them and use the relevant GRINTA PC function (X icon).

When the system is started up, the main environment appears. It allows you to start
all GRINTA control operations and all song search, selection and play operations.

DISPLAY OF THE LYRICS

The words of the song are shown syllable by syllable and coloured in sync with the melody.
The instrumental parts are identified by the  graphic symbols, coloured “in time”.
The Video Settings Menu offers you a choice of two display modes:
• LYRICS ONLY: normally only shows the lyrics, but switches temporarily to
LYRICS+SEARCH mode during searches (Dial);
• LYRICS+SEARCH: lyrics always displayed in LYRICS+SEARCH mode.
To play a song, simply select it with the cursor (using the Dial) and press PLAY.

Branchement au secteur
Avant d’effectuer le branchement de l’adaptateur externe au secteur, vérifier que la
tension correspond à la tension indiquée (tolérance maximale ±10%).
Branchements, allumage et extinction
Eteindre les appareils avant d’effectuer les branchements.
Allumer et éteindre GRINTA lorsque le système d’amplification audio est éteint.
Compact Flash
Introduire et retirer les Compact Flash lorsque l’appareil est éteint, en vérifiant le sens
d’introduction pour ne pas provoquer des dysfonctionnements ou des pertes de données.
GRINTA est compatible avec les spécifications <CF> CompactFlashTM et a été testé avec succès
avec un très grand nombre de cartes produites par divers Fabricants. Toutefois, M-Live décline
toute responsabilité en cas de pertes de données et de dysfonctionnements avec des Compact
Flash non commercialisées avec la marque M-Live.
Installation de GRINTA-PC et connexion de GRINTA à l’ordinateur
Connecter GRINTA à l’ordinateur par USB après avoir installé le logiciel GRINTA-PC.
Protection et entretien
Eviter d’exposer l’appareil au rayonnement solaire direct, aux sources de chaleur intenses,
aux fortes vibrations, aux milieux particulièrement humides ou poussiéreux, à la pluie qui
peuvent provoquer des dysfonctionnements, des détériorations, voire des chocs électriques.
Pour éliminer toute trace de poussière, utiliser un chiffon doux sec ou un pinceau : ne jamais
employer d’alcool, d’acétone ou de solvants.Aucun entretien supplémentaire n’est nécessaire.
