General
Read and keep instructions
These Operating Instructions belong to this selfie stick.
They contain important information about the start-up
and handling.
Study these Operating Instructions and, in particular the Safety
information in detail prior to using the selfie stick. Non-observance
of these Operating Instructions can lead to damage to the selfie
stick.
These Operating Instructions are based on valid standards and
regulations of the EU. Also observe specific guidelines and laws in
other countries!
Keep Operating Instructions for further use. When passing on the
selfie stick to third parties please also include these Operating
Instructions.

Safety
Correct use
The selfie stick is designed to be solely used as a selfie stick. It is
only suitable for private and not for commercial use.
Only use the selfie stick as described in the operating instructions.
Any other use is deemed to be incorrect and can cause material
damage.
The manufacturers or dealers do not accept any liability for
damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Safety information
WARNING!
Danger of electrocution!
Faulty electrical installations or excessive mains voltage can cause
electrocution.
− Only connect the selfie stick to an easily accessible socket
allowing quick disconnection from the power supply in case
of a fault.
− Do not operate selfie stick in case of visible damage or if the
USB charging lead is defective.
− Do not use USB charging lead of selfie stick if damaged.
− Never immerse selfie stick or USB charging lead in water or
other fluids.
− Do not expose the selfie stick with integral battery and USB
charging lead to extreme heat, such a sun, fire or hot surfaces.
− Do not kink USB lead and do not install it over sharp edges.
− Ensure that children do not push objects into the selfie stick.
− Do not leave selfie stick unintended during charging.

− Keep packaging foil away from children. They could get
caught in it during play and could suffocate.
NOTE!
Danger of material damage!
Incorrect use of the selfie stick can damage the selfie stick.
− Never place selfie stick on or near hot surfaces
(e.g. stove tops, etc.).
− Ensure that USB charging lead does not come into contact
with hot parts.
− Never expose selfie stick to excessive temperatures (heating,
etc.) or weather conditions (rain, etc.). Never pour liquid into
the selfie stick.
− Do not use selfie stick if plastic or metal parts of the device
show cracks or tears or are deformed. Replace damaged parts
only with original spare parts.
− Damage to the electronics or accessory caused by external
influences such as impacts, falls or others are not covered by
the warranty and are chargeable.
− Do not use chemical solvents to clean selfie stick.
− Do not apply any acidic substances or varnishes to product.
− Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved
by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.

NOTE!
Material damage!
If the packaging is carelessly opened with a sharp knife or other
pointed objects, the product can be easily damaged.
− Please open packaging carefully.
1. Check that delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
2. Remove selfie stick from packaging and check whether the
equipment or parts are damaged. If they are, do not use the
selfie stick. Contact the service address of the manufacturer
listed on the Warranty card.
System requirements
This product supports systems IOS 6.0 or higher and Android 4.1 or
higher. As Android is an Open Source system, every manufacturer
can determine their own key assignment.
Consequently no picture can be taken with some Smartphones/
tablets, using the original camera app. In this case check whether
the camera has a setting option that can activate the trigger on
the volume control. In some Smartphones this function is disabled
and can be activated by ticking this option. If this setting is not
available in the camera app, install an alternative camera app
from the “Play Store”, such as “SelfieShop Camera” (from another
provider), offering this option under settings.

Use
Assembly: Fold up top part of Smartphone holder 2until your
Smartphone can be inserted in the Smartphone holder 2. The
upper part of the smartphone-holder can be adjusted by pulling
it slightly to fit for larger smartpones.
WARNING!
Danger of crushing hazard!
When you assemble the holder and the stick, make sure that your
hand won’t get squeezed.
Switch on/connect: Switch on selfie stick by pressing and
holding the ON/OFF-Trigger-Switch 5for a few seconds. The
blue ON/OFF LED 5flashes quickly. Open the Bluetooth® menu
of your Smartphone and select the Search option to find the
signal of a new Bluetooth® device. The selfie stick appears under
the name ”Maginon selfie“ in the list of Bluetooth® devices. Select
“Maginon selfie” from the list.
If a password is requested when setting up the
Bluetooth® connection enter “0000“.
The Bluetooth® connection is now automatically established.
Once the selfie stick has been successfully connected to your
Smartphone the blue ON/OFF LED 5on the selfie stick flashes
more slowly.
Taking photos:Once the Smartphone and selfie stick are
connected, open the camera app on your Smartphone.
You can now take photos by pushing the trigger button 5on
the selfie stick

Video recordings: Select Video mode on your Smartphone.
Next push trigger button 5on selfie stick. Video recording
commences.
With some Smartphones video recording
commences automatically once the video mode has
been selected. Using the trigger button additional
photos can be taken during video recording.
Switch off: When no longer using the selfie stick switch selfie
stick off using ON/OFF switch 5.
Once the selfie stick has not been used for 10
minutes, the Bluetooth® connection is automatically
interrupted.
Charging: The battery of the selfie stick can be charged from the
USB port of a computer, using the supplied USB charging lead
3. During charging, the LED 10 is permanently red. The LED is
switched off once the battery has been fully charged.

Disposal
Dispose of packaging
For disposal, separate packaging into different
types. Cardboard and board must be disposed of as
paper and foil must be recycled.
Disposal of used device
(Applicable in European Union and other European countries
using systems for separate collection of recyclables)
Do not dispose of used devices in household waste!
If the selfie stick can no longer be used each consumer
is legally obliged to dispose of used head sets
separately from domestic waste, e.g. at a collecting
point of the municipality/district. This ensures that used
equipment is recycled correctly and that negative effects on the

environment are avoided. Electrical equipment is consequently
marked with the adjacent symbol.
Batteries and storage batteries may not be disposed of in
domestic waste.
As a consumer you are legally obliged to correctly
dispose of all batteries and storage batteries
irrespective of whether they contain contaminants or
not at a collection point of your municipality/council
or in shops, ensuring an environmentally friendly disposal. Prior
to disposal, the integrated batteries must first be removed and
disposed of separately from the housing. Never remove batteries
yourself. This could lead to injuries. Contact the dealer from whom
you bought the device or take it to the collection and returns point
of your local council

Removing the battery
Never remove batteries yourself but have batteries removed by a
qualified expert at your disposal point.
Remove Bluetooth® module 7from selfie stick to access battery.
The housing of the Bluetooth® module 7can now be opened,
allowing removal of the battery (see Fig. C).
