1. Slideoutthebatterydoorontherearofremotethenliftitupastheillustrated
below.
2. Installtwo(2)xAAAsizebatteries(notincluded)intothebatterycompartmentas
thepolaritymarkingsinsideit.
3. Closethebatterydoor.

BATTERYPRECAUTIONS:
FollowtheseBatteryPrecautionwhenusingabatteryinthisdevice:
1. Useonlythesizeandtypeofbatteryspecified.
2. Besuretofollowthecorrectpolaritywheninstallingthebatteryasindicatedinthe
batterycompartment.Areversedbatterymaycausedamagetothedevice.
3. Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.AlkalineandCarbon‐zinc)orold
batterieswithfreshones.
4. Ifthebatteriesinthedeviceareconsumedorthedeviceisnottobeusedforalong
periodoftime,removethebatteriestopreventdamageorinjuryfrompossible
batteryleakage.
5. Donottrytorechargethebatterynotintendedtoberecharged;itcanoverheatand
rupture.(Followbatterymanufacturer’sinstructions.)
6. Donotdisposeofbatteryinfire.Batterymayexplodesorleak.
7. Cleanthebatterycontactsandalsothoseofthedevicepriortobatteryinstallation.
SETTINGUP:
YoumustsetuptheUniversalRemotebeforeoperatingwithyourdeviceasfollows:
Setupwithdevicecode:
1. Useonlythesizeandtypeofbatteryspecified.
2. Poweronyourdesireddevice(EX:TV)asusual.
3. Findthefour(4)digitdevicecodeforitintheattachedCodeList.
4. Pressandreleasethecorrespondingdevice’sselectionbuttonontheUniversal
Remote(EX:TVButton).
5. PressandholdtheSETButtonapproximately3secondsuntiltheLEDIndicatoris
illuminatedthenreleasethebutton.
6. Enterthefour(4)digitcodeforyourdevicebypressingthenumericbuttons.TheLED
Indicatorwillturnoff.(Ifthecodeisinvalid,theIndicatorwillstayilluminated.Repeat
thesettingproceduresfrom2‐5againtoresetavalidcode.)
7. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorforyourdevicethentryoperatingthe
device.Ifthedeviceisrespondscorrectly,itmeansyouhaveenteredtherightcode.If
not,checktheprovidedcodelistforothercodesthatmayapplytoyourunit.Startthe
processagainfromStep2.
NOTE:
IfthecodesprovideddonotworktopairtheUniversalRemotetoyourdevice,trythe
followingmethods.

Settingwiththebrandnamecode:
1. FindthesingledigitbrandcodeofyourdeviceontheattachedBrandNameCode
List.
2. Poweronyourdesireddevice(EX:TV)asusual.AimtheUniversalRemotetothe
remotesensorforyoudevice.
3. Pressandholdthecorrespondingdevice’sbuttonandthenumericbuttonofthe
brandcodeofyourdeviceatthesametime.(Forexample:Pressandholdingthe
“TV”and“1”Buttonsatthesametime.)
4. Waitapproximately2seconds,theLEDIndicatorwillstartblinking.
5. Releasethenumericbuttonandkeepholdingthedevicebutton.Adifferentinfrared
signalof“Poweroff”issentevery0.5second.
6. Onceyourdeviceisshutoff,releasethedevicebuttonimmediatelytosavethe
settingandexit.
7. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorforyourdevicethenoperationthe
devicewiththeUniversalRemote.Ifthedeviceisrespondscorrectly,itmeansyou
haverightsettings.Otherwise,setagainstartingfromstep3ortrythefollowing
settingmethods.
AutoSetting:
1. Poweronyourdesireddevice(EX:TV)asusual.
2. Pressandreleasethecorrespondingdevice’sselectionbuttonofyourdevice(EX:TV
Button).
3. PressandholdingtheSETButtonapproximately3secondsuntiltheLEDIndicatoris
illuminatedthenreleasethebutton.
4. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorforyourdevicethenpressand
releasethePOWERButton.Adifferentinfraredsignalof“Poweroff”issentevery0.5
second.
5. Onceyourdeviceisshutoff,presstheOKButtonimmediatelytosavethesettingand
exit.
6. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorforyourdevicethenoperatethe
devicewiththeUniversalRemote.Ifthedeviceisrespondscorrectly,itmeansyou
haverightsettings.Otherwise,setagainstartingfromstep2ortrythefollowing
settingmethods.

1. Poweronyourdesireddevice(EX:TV)asusual.
2. Pressandreleasethecorrespondingdevice’sselectionbuttonforyourdesireddevice
(EX:TVButton).
3. PressandholdtheSETButtonapproximately3secondsuntiltheLEDIndicatoris
illuminatedthenreleasethebutton.
4. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorofyourdevice(EX:TV)thenpress
theCH+or–buttonsontheUniversalRemoterepeatedlytosenddifferentinfrared
signals;LEDIndicatorwillblink.
5. Onceyourdeviceisshutoff,presstheOKButtontosavethesettingsandexit,the
LEDIndicatorwillturnoff.
6. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorforyourdevice(suchlikeTV)then
operationthedevicewiththeUniversalRemote.
OPERATION:
1. Repeatthesettingprocedureuntilalldesireddevices(upto8devices)wasbeenset.
2. Pressthedesireddeviceselectionbutton(EX:TV)ontheUniversalRemote.
3. AimtheUniversalRemotetotheremotesensorofyoudevicethenoperationthe
devicewiththeUniversalRemote.
NOTES:
1. ButtonsmaybetitleddifferentlyonyourUniversalRemotefromthetitlesonthe
originalmanufacturer'scontroller.
2. Someofbuttonsmaynotrespondasyouroriginalremote.
3. IftheUniversalRemoteishalt,abnormaloperationoryouwantstoresetallsettings.
ResettheUniversalRemotebytakeoutallbatteriesapproximately1minutethen
reinstallthebatteries.

Remarks:
A. WhenthereisanobstaclebetweenthedeviceandtheUniversalRemote,the
transmittermaynotoperate.
B. Whenindirectsunlight,anincandescentlamp,fluorescentlamporanyother
stronglightshinesontheremotesensorofthedevice,theremoteoperationmay
beunstable.
