Ensure that you read and understand this instrucon manual before using
this product. Failure to follow the instrucons and safety precauons in
this manual can result in damage and/or serious injury.
Please keep these instrucons in a safe locaon for future reference
WARNINGS (Risk of possible injury or other serious adverse reacons)
• Do not operate the Airo compressor in the presence of ammable anaesthec mixtures with
air, oxygen or nitrous oxide, as these mixtures can create a combusble environment leading
to the potenal for re or even an explosion in the presence of a spark.
• Do not use the Raiser Liing Cushion if under the inuence of alcohol or if taking medicaon
which may aect your ability to exercise judgment, coordinaon or motor control.
• NEVER use the Raiser Liing Cushion as a step, stand or as a device for liing items.
• The Raiser Liing Cushion should only be used for its stated purpose and should not be
modied in any way.
• Ensure that when in use, the Airo compressor, the hand control lead and air hose are laid out
in such a way as to avoid any risk of tripping or strangulaon.
• Do not allow children to play with the Raiser Liing Cushion or Airo as operaon of the
equipment in an uncontrolled or unsupervised situaon may lead to personal injury and/or
damage.
• To avoid personal injury during use and/or damage to the equipment, keep animals away
from the Raiser Liing Cushion and Airo compressor.
• Regularly check that there are no obvious signs of damage. If in doubt, do not use and seek
advice from your supplier.
• Only use the Raiser Liing Cushion in a chair that has armrests.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, NEVER recharge the Airo baery in the bathroom,
outdoors or in a damp environment.
• Do not use any other air supply to inate the Raiser Liing Cushion.
• Ensure that the Raiser Liing Cushion is protected from sharp objects.
CAUTIONS (Risk of possible problems including device malfuncons, device failure,
damage to the device or damage to other property)
• Only recharge the baery with the Mangar Health baery charger supplied with the Airo
compressor.
• Never use hot air to dry the Raiser Liing Cushion following cleaning as this may aect the
integrity of the welded seams and fabric and lead to premature failure of the cushion.
• Disconnect the Airo compressor from the Raiser Liing Cushion before transporng so as to
avoid accidental inaon of the cushion.

Product Descripon
Intended Use
The Raiser Liing Cushion is intended solely for use as a liing aid to assist a person to raise
themselves from and lower themselves into an armchair. Users should have sucient upper body
strength to be able to hold the armrests for added support if required. The Raiser Liing Cushion
is not intended for any other use and should never be used as a step or for liing items. When
properly maintained, the Raiser Liing Cushion will give many years of trouble free service.
Construction
The Raiser Liing Cushion is constructed from a very strong polyurethane coated nylon material
which has been precision cut into panels and then joined together by high frequency welding.
This produces a very strong light weight and air ght construcon. The Raiser Liing Cushion
incorporates a quick exhaust valve which allows the cushion to fully deate without the need to
keep pressing the down buon on the hand control.
The Raiser Liing Cushion is powered by the
Mangar Health Airo Mk3 baery powered
compressor. PLEASE READ the separate Airo
Mk3 compressor instrucons before using your
Raiser Liing Cushion.

Geng Started
The Airo does not have an ‘on/o’ switch.
To operate the compressor or acvate the
Baery Status Indicator, connect the hand
control and momentarily press either the ‘Up’
or ‘Down’ buon.
If the Airo is not used for approximately 5
minutes it will go into ‘sleep’ mode and the
baery status indicator light will go out.
Baery Status Indicator
Before use, check that the baery is suciently
charged (see ‘Geng Started’). If the baery is
fully charged, the indicator light (A Fig. 1) will
show a steady Green light.
Steady Green = Fully charged.
Flashing Green = Recharge soon.
Steady Red = Recharge immediately
(will not deate).
Flashing Red = Over temperature cut-out
(will not deate or inate).
NOTE: If charge is too low the ‘Down’ buon
on the hand control will not work.
The Airo needs to be recharged when the
indicator light is ashing Green.
Charge the baery overnight before rst
using the Airo.
Connecng
• Posion the Raiser Liing Cushion on the
armchair so that the air hose is at the rear.
• Connect the air hose (B Fig. 2) and the
hand control lead (C) to the Airo.
• Place the hand control within easy reach.

Cleaning
Roune cleaning
• Fully inate the Raiser Liing Cushion for cleaning.
• All components can be cleaned with a proprietary non abrasive mild liquid cleaner or
disinfectant. Always follow packaging instrucons for using mild detergent products. NOTE:
Before using proprietary cleaners, always test on an inconspicuous area.
• Use a so cloth when cleaning.
• Do not wash the product in boiling water.
IMPORTANT: Following cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap deposits.
Wipe dry or leave to air dry. Never store the Raiser Liing Cushion when it is wet or damp. Do not
leave in bright sun light. Do not dry using hot air.
Operang - (Figs. 3 & 4)
• Keep your feet rmly on the oor, slightly
apart and as close to the front of the
armchair as possible.
• With your hands on the armrests to steady
yourself, lean forward and transfer your
weight to the front of the seat.
• To rise, press and hold the “Up” buon on
the hand control. Release the buon to stop
at any height.
• To lower, press “Down” on the hand control.
To stop lowering at any point, momentarily
press the ‘Up’ buon.
• Aer leaving the seat, press and hold the
‘Down’ buon unl the inial release of air
has occurred. The Raiser Liing Cushion will
carry on deang aer the ‘Down’ buon is
released, ready for when the cushion is next
used.
NOTE: If the air hose is disconnected, the Raiser
Liing Cushion will deate. 4

Disinfecon
• The Raiser Liing Cushion should be fully inated and pre-cleaned by washing with detergent
and water, thoroughly rinsed and then disinfected using a 1:10 soluon of household liquid
bleach and water (1 part bleach to 10 parts cold water). Leave the soluon on the Raiser
Liing Cushion for approximately 10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing o with clean cold
water.
WARNING: Never mix bleach with any other cleaning product as doing so can result in the
formaon of harmful acids and poisonous gasses which can cause serious breathing problems.
Maintenance
Other than roune cleaning and disinfecng, the Raiser Liing Cushion is maintenance free.
Mangar Health recommends that your Raiser Liing Cushion is inspected annually by either your
supplier or other suitably qualied person. If required, Mangar Health can provide an inspecon
within an annual service contract. Please contact our Customer Service Department for further
details.
Transportaon / Storage
Disconnect the Airo compressor from the Raiser Liing Cushion before transporng so as to avoid
accidental inaon of the cushion.
Ensure that the Raiser Liing Cushion is clean and thoroughly dry before storing. Failure to thoroughly
dry the cushion before storage may result in a build-up of mould on the surface of the product
leading to a weakening of the fabric and consequenal invalidaon of the product warranty. Store
in a dry environment.
To maintain the Airo baery when being stored for long periods, put the Airo on charge overnight
every 3 months.
Disposal / Recycling
When the Raiser Liing Cushion has reached the end of its working life, dispose of it at your local
household waste recycling centre (civic amenity site).
When the Airo has reached the end of it’s working life, remove the baeries for safe disposal in
accordance with your local council guidelines, and dispose of the Airo at your local household
waste recycling centre (civic amenity site).

Troubleshoong
Problem Remedy
Compressor does not run when ‘Up’ is selected
on the hand control.
Ensure that the air hose from the Raiser Liing
Cushion is connected to the Airo.
Compressor keeps stopping when trying to
inate the Raiser Liing Cushion. Check that there are no kinks in the air hose.
Baery State Indicator light ashing ‘Red/
Green’.
This happens when the current overload cut-
out has tripped. Leave for 3 seconds to self
reset.
Baery State Indicator light ashing ‘Red’.
This happens when the compressor’s internal
temperature cut-out has tripped. Leave the
Airo for 60-90 minutes to cool.
Compressor causes electrical interference
with another piece of electrical equipment.
Move either the compressor or other item
further away from each other unl the
interference stops.

Warranty
The warranty is given against defects in material and workmanship and comprises piece, parts and
labour. The warranty is not valid in the case of fair wear and tear, wilful damage, common neglect,
misuse or unauthorised alteraon or repair by unqualied persons.
The following statements do not aect the consumer’s statutory rights. This product is sold on the
understanding that in the event of any defect of manufacture or material appearing within the
warranty period, the defect will be reced free of charge providing that:
(a) Reasonable evidence is provided (e.g. purchase invoice, delivery note) that the claim is being
made within the warranty period.
(b) The defect is not aributable to accidental damage (either in transit or otherwise), misuse
or unauthorised repair.
