Section:Remote Control
The remote control unit is compatible with all Manhattan LCD 1000 series monitors. It is
provided with universal control buttons that enable the control of OSD functions.

Basic Functionality
Using Remote Control or Monitor Console
Function: Power On Monitor> Insert power source via connector into the 12V DC socket or 4-pin XLR DC input respectively.
A RED LED will indicate power is reaching the monitor. If RED LED fails to light, trouble shoot power adapter, battery or source. Screen will
be BLACK.
Insert one or more video source connections into the appropriate ports (See P5)
Function: Invoke On-Screen Display and access basic On-Screen Menus using Remote Control or Unit Console
With two fresh AAA batteries installed, point the front of the remote at the Monitor Console’s IR port (Status / IR) and depress the RED ‘Power’
button located on the remote control unit. The RED power LED will then turn GREEN and after 6 seconds, a solid BLUE will fill the screen
If unit is set to automatically detect a source (Auto Source Seek); it will scroll through options and stop when a signal is detected. If no source
is detected an error message will result. If Auto Source Seek is OFF, then a signal type must be manually selected using the remote control
or unit console. Once a signal has been detected, an image will appear with the default settings that were last used.
CAUTION: Selecting “Reset to Factory Defaults” under the UTILITIES menu will erase all user preferences and revert the settings to
factory defaults.
TIP: It is a good idea to make screen shots or to note down preferences for various users as well as specific scenarios
for future reference (particularly in the event of an accidental reset to factory defaults)
Function: Select and Adjust Display Settings: Remote or Console
Invoke On Screen Display (OSD) On remote, depress either
OSD
BACK
OSD button. The OSD will appear. Select OSD modes by scrolling Right >
or < Left using ‘NEXT OSD and BACK OSD buttons respectively. Use the & as well as (+) & (-) keys to navigate within each menu option
and to make selections and manipulate sliders.
The same functionality can be invoked using the unit console control buttons.
(See detailed OSD Functions )
When session is complete, turn power OFF, disconnect power cable and then all video input cables.
Energy Saver: Use Auto Power OFF and OSD Timeout settings to conserve energy and increase screen longevity
