The Marantz VC-8100 sets new standards in DVD mega changer performance and versatility.
Along with state-of-the-art performance features such as 10-bit, 27MHz video and 96/24 audio
D/A conversion, digital video noise reduction and Dolby Digital®and DTS®compatibility, the
VC-8100 offers enhanced convenience features including an advanced disc management and
search system.
VC-8100 Features:
The world's first multi-disc THX Ultra®certified DVD changer.
Easy disc access via an on-screen graphical control with Disc Management System
and Disc Search Function – using the front panel, the remote control, a standard computer
keyboard or mouse, disc title and other information can be entered into the VC8100's
memory in up to 20 user definable categories.
Fast-loading mechanism retrieves and plays any disc within seconds. If desired, a single
disc can also be played immediately by placing it into the VC-8100's single loader slot.
10-bit video D/A conversion with 27 MHz filtering provides extremely high resolution
video quality and color purity with an improved video signal-to-noise ratio.
Digital noise reduction circuitry can be automatically or manually adjusted for optimum
video playback.
Dolby Digital®and DTS®surround sound compatibility, for accurate playback of both
discrete 5.1-channel digital surround sound formats.
96 kHz/24-bit D/A converters deliver state-of-the-art sonic performance, including
playback of high-resolution 96 KHz/24-bit audio discs.
Component video, S-video and composite video outputs provide superb quality
video playback.
Virtual Dolby Digital®and SRS TruSurround®processing create a realistic surround
sound environment using just the TV's two built-in speakers or a two-channel stereo system.
CD-R and Video CD playback capability in addition to DVD and CD playback
make the DV-8100 the ideal all in one program source for a totally integrated home
entertainment system.
Remote control with cursor control joystick makes operation easy and intuitive. The
remote features glow-in-the-dark keys for visibility in darkened rooms.
Two VC-8100s can be linked for 601-disc total system capacity.
D-BUS remote connection allows linkage to other Marantz components for integrated
system operation.
