INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek BoomBoom
160. This Bluetooth speaker allows you to play music from a
sound source that is equipped with Bluetooth technology without
having to connect the source using cables. This could involve a
PC or a laptop with a Bluetooth USB dongle, a mobile phone that
supports Bluetooth, an Android phone, an Android Tablet, an
iPhone an iPad or a Mac.
The BoomBoom 160 has a range of about 10 metres, allowing you
to organise your music in the same room or in an adjoining room.
SET CONTENTS
1 x BoomBoom 160, universal Bluetooth wireless stereo speaker
1 x micro USB cable
1 x Mini Jack to Mini Jack converter cable
1 x set of instructions in English, German, French, Spanish,
Italian, Dutch.
FIRST USE
The BoomBoom 160 has a built-in rechargeable battery.
We recommend completely charging the battery before using the
device for the first time. Connect the supplied USB cable to the
BoomBoom 160 and a PC, Mac or USB power adapter. The red
LED light comes on.
The device may take up to about 3 hours to charge for the first
time. When the BoomBoom 160's battery is fully charged, the LED
light turns blue.

INITIAL SETUP VIA BLUETOOTH
1. Switch on the
BoomBoom 160
by lightly pressing
down on the
control panel. The
top now rises.
2. Wait for
approximately 10
seconds. The
speaker will go
into pairing mode and will produce a “beep” tone. The red
and blue lights will light up alternately.
3. Turn on a device that supports Bluetooth, such as an iPod,
iPhone, Android or mp3 device and go to: Settings > General
> Bluetooth. Click ON the Bluetooth. BoomBoom 160 will
then appear on the device. Click ON the BoomBoom 160.
The device is now connected and paired with the speaker. If
the device prompts for a pair code, enter:”0000”
4. If pairing is not successful within 150 seconds, the
BoomBoom 160 will go into standby and the blue LED will
light up. To restart the pairing process, switch off the speaker
by pushing down the control panel and repeat step 1. If the
initial setup connection is successful, the next time the
speaker is turned on, the speaker will automatically pair to
the last device it was connected with.
! You can link to up to 8 devices however only 1 device can be
connected to the BoomBoom 160 at one time.

VOLUME CONTROL
1. Tap VOLUME+(4) for 1 second
increments to increase the volume.
When maximum volume has been
reached, a tone indicator will
sound.
2. Tap VOLUME-(5) for 1 second
increments to decrease the volume.
When minimal volume has been
reached, a tone indicator will sound.
3. Tap PLAY/PAUSE (3) to pause the music or to continue play.
(NOTE:THIS FEATURE MAY NOT WORK WITH SOME BLUETOOTH
DEVICES)

TURNING OFF
Switch on the BoomBoom 160 by lightly pressing down on the
control panel again. The illuminated LED will now switch off.
TURNING ON
Switch the BoomBoom 160 on by lightly pressing down on the
control panel. The top now rises.
The BoomBoom 160 will then automatically link to the last device
it was connected to. When connected, the blue LED lights go on.
Only 1 device can be connected at once with the BoomBoom 160.
If your device does not connect automatically, go to the device's
Bluetooth settings and select the BoomBoom 160. A connection
will then be made.
Turn off the BoomBoom 160 in order to pair the device with
another Bluetooth device.

STANDBY
If the BoomBoom 160 is in connection mode and no connection is
made within 3 minutes, the BoomBoom 160 switches to standby
mode (blue LED lighting is lit).
CONNECTING WITH AN AUDIO CABLE
The Bluetooth
connection can be
switched to a wired
connection by
plugging in the
3.5mm audio jack.
The volume key
function will be
disabled in the wired
connection mode. Simply unplug the 3.5mm audio jack to revert
back to the Bluetooth connection.
BATTERY LIFE AND STANDBY TIME
Once the battery has been fully charged it will last for about 4
hours via Bluetooth, or 5-6 hours via audio cable. You can also
power the BoomBoom 160 with the micro USB cable connected to
a PC, Mac or USB power adapter. The battery then remains
charged.
BATTERY ALMOST EMPTY
When the BoomBoom 160’s battery is almost empty, the
Bluetooth connection will terminate. Follow the steps given earlier
to charge the battery.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I can’t connect my BoomBoom 160.
Check the following:
1. Ensure that the power adapter is connected and/or that the
battery is fully charged.
2. Ensure that the Bluetooth function on your mobile telephone
is on (check your phone's manual for reference).
3. Ensure that the distance between your mobile phone and the
BoomBoom 160 is no greater than 10 metres and that there
are no large obstacles in the way.
Can I link numerous devices to my BoomBoom 160?
You can link up to 8 devices to your BoomBoom 160. If the
BoomBoom 160 is switched on, it will automatically connect to the
last connected device.

EINFÜHRUNG
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb des Marmitek BoomBoom
160! Mit diesem Bluetooth Lautsprecher können Sie über eine
Bluetooth fähige Tonquelle Musik abspielen, ohne die Quelle mit
Kabeln verbinden zu müssen. Das kann beispielsweise ein mit
einem Bluetooth USB Dongle versehener PC oder Laptop sein,
ein Bluetooth fähiges Mobiltelefon, Android Telefon, Android
Tablet, iPhone, iPad oder Mac.
Die Reichweite des BoomBoom 160 beträgt zirka 10 Meter,
sodass Sie Ihre Musik im gleichen oder angrenzenden Raum
regeln können.

ERSTE VERWENDUNG
Der BoomBoom 160 ist mit einem
eingebauten Akku versehen.
Wir empfehlen, den Akku vor
erstmaligem Gebrauch vollständig zu
laden. Schließen Sie das enthaltene
USB Kabel an den BoomBoom 160 und
einen PC, Mac oder USB Netzteil an. Die
rote LED leuchtet auf.
Der erste Ladevorgang kann max. 3 Stunden in Anspruch
nehmen. Die LED leuchtet blau, wenn der Akku des BoomBoom
l60 vollständig aufgeladen ist.

ERSTES SETUP ÜBER BLUETOOTH
1. Schalten Sie den BoomBoom 160 ein, indem Sie leicht auf
das Schaltbrett
tippen. Die
Oberseite fährt
jetzt hoch.
2. Warten Sie etwa
10 Sekunden. Der
Lautsprecher geht
nun in den Pairing
Modus und wird
einen “Biep“ Ton
produzieren. Die rote & blaue Beleuchtung wird abwechselnd
aufleuchten.
3. Schalten Sie ein Gerät das Bluetooth unterstützt ein, wie
iPod, iPhone, Android oder MP3-Gerät und gehen Sie zu
den: Einstellungen > Allgemein > Bluetooth. Klicken Sie
Bluetooth EIN. BoomBoom 160 erscheint nun auf dem Gerät.
Klicken Sie Bluetooth 160 EIN. Das Gerät ist nun verbunden
und an Ihren BoomBoom 160 Lautsprecher gekoppelt.
Geben Sie ”0000” ein, wenn das Gerät einen Pairing Code
benötigt.
4. Ist binnen 150 Sekunden keine Verbindung zustande
gekommen, schaltet der BoomBoom 160 in den Stand-by
Modus und leuchtet die blaue LED auf. Schalten Sie den
Lautsprecher aus, indem Sie das Schaltbrett wieder
hinunterdrücken und wiederholen Sie Schritt 1, um den
Pairing Prozess erneut zu durchlaufen. Ist die erste Setup
Verbindung gelungen, dann wird der Lautsprecher beim
nächsten Einschalten automatisch an das zuletzt
verbundene Gerät gekoppelt werden.
! Sie können maximal 8 Geräte verbinden; Es kann jedoch nur 1
Gerät gleichzeitig mit dem BoomBoom 160 verbunden werden.

LAUTSTÄRKEREGELUNG
1. Tippen Sie im Sekundentakt auf VOLUME+ , um die
Lautstärke zu erhöhen. Nach
Erreichen der maximalen
Lautstärke erklingt ein Tonsignal.
2. Tippen Sie im Sekundentakt auf
VOLUME- , um die Lautstärke zu
verringern. Nach Erreichen der
Mindestlautstärke erklingt ein
Tonsignal.
3. Tippen Sie auf PLAY/PAUSE, um
die Musik anzuhalten und wieder weiterspielen zu lassen.
NB: DIESE FUNKTION KANN BEI MANCHEN BLUETOOTH-GERÄTEN
MÖGLICHERWEISE NICHT AUSGEFÜHRT WERDEN).
AUSSCHALTEN
Schalten Sie den BoomBoom 160 aus, indem Sie das Schaltbrett
wieder hinunterdrücken. Die LED Beleuchtung erlischt nun.
EINSCHALTEN
Schalten Sie den BoomBoom 160 ein, indem Sie leicht auf das
Schaltbrett tippen. Die Oberseite fährt jetzt hoch. Nun wird der
BoomBoom 160 automatisch Verbindung zum zuletzt
verwendeten Gerät an das er gekoppelt war, aufnehmen. Die
blaue LED leuchtet auf, sowie die Verbindung hergestellt ist. Sie
können nur 1 Gerät zugleich mit dem BoomBoom 160 verbinden.
Gehen Sie zu den Bluetooth Einstellungen des Geräts, wenn die
automatische Verbindung mit Ihrem Gerät misslingt und rufen Sie
den BoomBoom 160 auf. Nun wird eine Verbindung hergestellt
werden.
Schalten Sie den BoomBoom 160 aus, um das Gerät an ein
anderes Bluetooth Gerät zu koppeln.

STANDBY
Wenn binnen 3 Minuten keine Verbindung hergestellt wird
während sich der BoomBoom 160 im Verbindungsmodus befindet,
dann geht der BoomBoom 160 in den Stand-by Modus (blaue
LED leuchtet auf).
VERBINDEN ÜBER EIN AUDIOKABEL
Anstelle einer Bluetooth
Verbindung kann über
einen Anschluss an den
3,5mm Audioanschluss
eine Kabelverbindung
hergestellt werden. Die
Lautstärke-
Tastenfunktion wird im
verkabelten
Verbindungsmodus ausgeschaltet. Entkoppeln Sie einfach den
3,5mm Audioanschluss, um zur Bluetooth Verbindung
zurückzukehren.
AKKUBETRIEB UND STANDBY ZEIT
Nachdem der Akku völlig aufgeladen ist, hält dieser ca. 4 Stunden
oder 5-6 Stunden über einen Audiokabelanschluss. Sie können
den BoomBoom 160 auch mit dem Micro USB Kabel an einen PC,
Mac oder USB Netzteil verbinden. Der Akku bleibt dann
aufgeladen.
AKKU FAST LEER
Die Bluetooth Verbindung wird unterbrochen, wenn der Akku des
BoomBoom 160 nahezu erschöpft ist. Laden Sie den Akku dann
gemäß obiger Beschreibung erneut auf.

HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Ich kann meinen BoomBoom 160 nicht verbinden.
Achten Sie auf Nachfolgendes:
1. Überprüfen Sie, ob das Netzteil angeschlossen und/oder der
Akku geladen ist.
2. Überprüfen Sie, ob die Bluetooth Funktion auf Ihrem
Mobiltelefon eingeschaltet ist. (ziehen Sie die
Gebrauchsanleitung Ihres Mobiltelefons zurate).
3. Halten Sie einen Abstand von weniger als 10 Metern
zwischen Mobiltelefon und BoomBoom 160 ohne große, im
Weg stehende Hindernisse ein.
Kann ich mehrere Geräte mit meinem BoomBoom 160
verbinden?
Es können bis zu 8 Geräte mit Ihrem BoomBoom 160 verbunden
werden. Wenn der BoomBoom 160 eingeschaltet wird, wird er
automatisch die zuletzt verwendete Gegenstelle verbinden.
