Safety Instructions
Before putting this scale into use, please read with care the information given in this user
manual, which contains important instructions for proper installation, use and maintenance
of the device.
Marsden/the manufacturer shall not be liable for damages arising from failure to heed the
following instructions:
•When using electrical components under increased safety requirements, always
comply with appropriate regulations.
•Inappropriate installation/use will render the warranty null and void.
•Ensure the voltage marked on the power supply unit matches your mains supply.
•This product is not waterproof. We do not recommend using the scale in humid,
damp or wet environments.
•Observe the permissible ambient temperatures for use.
•The device meets the requirements for electromagnetic capability. Do not exceed
the maximum values specified in the applicable standards.
•Do not place the indicator in direct sunlight.
•The indicator should be used in a dust-free and vibration-free environment.
•Cut off the power supply to the indicator before disconnecting the indicator to any
external device.
•Turn off the power supply immediately if a problem occurs. Should it be damaged,
contact Marsden or your dealer.
•Charge the battery prior to use. If the indicator is not used for a long time an eight
hour charge is recommended every 2 months.
If you have any problems, contact Marsden/your local dealer/your service partner.
Cleaning
•Please do not use corrosive liquids or large amounts of water to clean the scale.
•Always disconnect the scale from the mains power supply before cleaning.
Maintenance
•The scale does not require any routine maintenance. However, we recommend
checking the scale’s accuracy at regular intervals. If any inaccuracies occur, please
contact your local dealer or service partner.
•You can book an accuracy check with the Marsden Service team on 01709 364296.

Before using the Indicator
•The I-100 indicator uses power from the DC6V/4AH rechargeable battery, or can be
powered from the mains lead which is hard wired into the indicator.
•Once switched on, the scale is only ready to use once the display shows 0.000.

Operation: Basic Functions
Switching the Scale on/off
Press ON/OFF to power-on the scale.
When the scale shows 0.000 it is
ready for weighing.
To switch the scale off, press and hold
ON/OFF for three seconds. The scale
will now power down.
Setting the Scale to Zero
If at any time the reading shows
anything other than 0.000 when
there is nothing on the scale, you can
reset the display by pressing ZERO
once.

Operation: Advanced Functions
Tare Function
Place the item you wish to deduct
the weight of (such as a pallet or box)
on the scale and press TARE.
The scale will show a minus reading.
The indicator will then display the
reading as zero.
Weigh as normal and the negative
weight reading will be deducted from
the total weight.

Counting Function
To count items on the scale, first
place a sample quantity on the scale.
Switch the indicator to count mode
by pressing FUNC, holding the
button until ‘COUNT’ is displayed
Press ACCUM. ‘C00000’ will display
on the screen.
Use the TARE key to move right and
ZERO to increase the sample size.
To confirm the amount, press
ACCUM.
Press FUNC to return to weighing
mode.

Accumulation Function
You can use the scale to total up
several loads. Add your first item to
the scale and press ACCUM. Remove
the item from the scale.
Add the next item to the scale and
press ACCUM again.
To clear accumulated readings press
FUNC.
If the accumulated weight needs to
be checked, remove the load from
the platform and press ACCUM to
display the total weight.
Press ACCUM to return to normal
weighing mode and the accumulate
annunciator will switch off.
To clear accumulated readings at any
time (whilst in Accumulation Mode)
press FUNC.

ERR 1
The AD value is too small
when calibrated.
Switch off the scale and
restart. If the error occurs
again, contact your
dealer/Marsden.
ERR 2
The zero point is out of
range when calibrated.
Please contact Marsden or
your dealer.
ERR 3
The zero point is out of
range when starting up the
scale.
Check nothing is
underneath the scale. If
message still shows contact
Marsden or your dealer.
ERR 4
The inputted sample
number is zero when
sampling in counting mode.
ERR 5
The inputted weight is zero
when in calibration mode.
Please contact Marsden or
your dealer.
ERR 6
The unit weight is less than
0.25e when sampling in
counting mode.
bAt-lo
Low battery power.
Please charge the battery.
