PRODUCT SAFETY
WARNING Some dust created by power
sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other
construction activities contains chemicals
known to the state of California to cause
cancer, birth defects or other reproductive
harm. Some examples of these chemicals
are:
●Lead from lead-based paints;
●Crystalline silica from bricks and cement
and other masonry products;
●Arsenic and chromium from chemically-
treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies,
depending on how often you do this type
of work. To reduce your exposure to these
chemical: work in a well ventilated area,
and work with approved safety equipment,
such as those dust masks that are specially
designed to lter out microscopic particles.

GENERAL POWER TOOL

instructions. Failure to follow the warnings

The term power tool in the warnings refers to
your electric (corded) power tool or battery-
operated (cordless) power tool.
WORK AREA SAFETY
• Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust.Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust
or fumes.

while operating a power tool. Distractions

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with grounded power
tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets
will reduce risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk
of electric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.

cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging

PERSONAL SAFETY

Always wear eye protection.Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety

the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your nger on the
switch or energizing power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench

a key left attached to a rotating part of the power
tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times.This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose
clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection
of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly
used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-
related hazards.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent
use of tools allow you to become complacent
and ignore tool safety principles. A careless
action can cause severe injury within a fraction of
a second.
POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
• Do not force the power tool. Use the
correct power tool for your application. The
correct power tool will do the job better and safer
at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous
and must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from the
power tool before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing power
tools.Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions
to operate the power tool.Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the power tools operation.
If damaged, have the power tool repaired

cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier
to control.

ing Danger, Warnings, and Cautions.
The operation of any tool can result in foreign objects being thrown into your
eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Before beginning any operation,
always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields and a full face
shield when needed. We recommend the Wide Vision Safety Mask for use over
your eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with side shields. Always wear eye
protection that complies with ANSI Z87.1.

DOUBLE INSULATION
Double insulation is a safety concept for electric power tools, which eliminates
the need for the usual three-wire grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts
are isolated from the internal metal motor components with protecting insulation.
Double insulated tools do not need to be grounded.
WARNING The double insulated system is intended to protect the user from shock resulting from
a break in the tool’s internal wiring. Observe all normal safety precautions to avoid electrical shock.
IMPORTANT: Servicing a tool with double insulation requires extreme care and knowledge
of the system and should be performed only by a qualied service technician. Always use the
original factory replacement parts when servicing.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The Finishing Sander has a precision-built electric motor. It should be connected to a power supply
that is 120V, 60Hz, AC only (normal household current). Do not operate this tool on direct current (DC).
A substantial voltage drop will cause a loss of power and the motor to overheat. If your tool does not
operate when plugged into an outlet, double-check the power supply.
USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When us-
ing an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw.
An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Table
1 shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt,
use the next heavier gage. The smaller the gage number, the heavier the cord.

caught on lumber, tools or other obstructions while you are working with a power tool.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
Intended Use
The machine is intended for dry sanding of
wood, plastic, ller and coated surfaces.
1. FIT THE SAND PAPER (SEE FIG A)
The Sand paper are placed directly onto the
base plate. The hole pattern in the base plate
and sand paper must match. Then press the
sand paper onto the base plate by hand. Firmly
press the power tool with the sand paper
against a at surface and briey switch the
power tool on. This provides for good adhesion
and prevents premature wear
Before placing on the sand paper, free the
base plate from dust/debris by lightly tapping
against it.

Simply remove the sand paper directly.
REFERENCING USE OF HOOK AND LOOP
SANDPAPER
FIT THE SAND PAPER
Fit the sand paper over the base. Make sure
the sand paper is even with the edges and that
the dust collection holes in the base and sand
paper is aligned and that the sand paper is taut
on the base.
Lift the sand paper clamp, move away from the
clamp lever lock, and then pull down (See Fig.
B1, B2), the sand paper retaining clips will be
open. Insert one end of the sand paper under
the retaining clip. (See Fig. C)
Push the clip back into the retaining position.
Lightly stretch the paper over the base plate
ensuring that it is not folded or wrinkled then
position under the other retaining clip back into
the retaining position. Check that the paper
is at to the base plate, if not, release either
clip and reposition the paper before resetting
the clip. Switch on momentarily to check that
the sander is functioning correctly. If there is
undue vibration, repeat the paper positioning
procedure. (See Fig. D1-D3)

REMOVE THE SAND PAPER
To remove the sand paper, lift up the sand
paper clamp and move away from the clamp
lever lock. the sand paper retaining clip is now
loose. Repeat with the other clamp on the
opposite side of your sander.
2. USING THE CYCLONIC DUST BOX
A) ATTACH THE CYCLONIC DUST BOX
(SEE FIG E1)
Your sander is equipped with a cyclonic dust
box. To attach, slide the box onto the outlet
piece and take care that the latching lever
engages.
Caution: To prevent the possibility of sanding
dust or foreign body being thrown into your
face or eyes, never attempt to use your sander
without the dust box properly installed.

B) EMPTY THE CYCLONIC DUST BOX (SEE
FIG E2 E3)
For more efcient operation, empty the cyclonic
dust box every 5-10mins. This will permit the air
to ow through the box better.
To empty the box, press the latching lever in
and pull off the box. Then press the button at
the rear of the box to open it, and shake out
dust.

3. OPERATING THE ON/OFF SWITCH (SEE

Slide the on/off switch to the position marked ”I”
to start the machine.
Slide it to the position marked “O” to stop it.

4. VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL (SEE FIG. G)
With the variable speed control, the required
speed can be selected (also while running).
The required speed is dependent on the
material and is to be determined by a practical
trial.
After longer periods of working at low speed,
allow the machine to cool down by running it
for approx. 3 minutes at maximum speed with
no load.

5. DUST EXTRACTION ADAPTER
Your sander is equipped with a dust extraction
adapter, which is designed for collect dust task.
Insert the dust adapter into the rear dust outlet
of sander. Then pull the dust adapter and make
sure it is tightened securely on the dust outlet.
Then connect the hose of a vacuum cleaner.
First please turn on the vacuum cleaner, and
then turn on the sander. If you stop sanding,
rst turn off the sander, and then turn off your
vacuum cleaner.
WARNING It is necessary to connect the
vacuum if you sand plaster board .

6. USING THE SANDER
The workpiece to be sanded must be secured.
If it is small or it may move during sanding, it
must be held in a vice or suitably clamped.
Be sure to hold the sander rmly whilst it is on
and apply it gently to the work, it may “kick” on
rst contact. Hold the sander so that it is at
on the work and move slowly, preferably with
a smooth, circular motion. Regularly check the
condition of the sand paper and replace when
worn for best results.
7. FLUSH SANDING FACILITY
Your sander can sand ush on three sides of
the baseplate which allows easy access to
corners and edges of mouldings.
8. ORBITAL SANDING
Your sander operates in small a circular rotation
which allows efcient material removal. Operate
your sander in long sweeping movements
across your workpiece and even across the
grain. For a ner nish, always use a ne grain
sand paper and only move the sander in the
direction of the grit and never across the grain.
Do not allow your sander to remain in the same
position otherwise you will remove material and
create an uneven surface.
9. SELECT THE RIGHT SAND PAPER
Selecting the correct grit of sandpaper is an
extremely important decision that will allow you
to achieve the best quality sanding nish.
Coarse grit will remove the most material
and ner grit will give you the best nish in
all sanding operations. The condition of the
surface to be sanded will determine which grit
will do the job.
If the surface is rough:
Start with coarse grit (sold separately) and sand
until the surface is uniform. Then use medium
to remove any scratches left by the coarse grit.
Then use ner grit (sold separately) for nishing
the surface.
NOTE: Always continue sanding with each grit
until the surface is uniform.

Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or
maintenance.
Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance.
There are no user serviceable parts in your power tool. Never use water or chemical cleaners to
clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your power tool in a dry place.
Keep the motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working controls free of dust. Occasionally you
may see sparks through the ventilation slots. This is normal and will not damage your power tool.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
1. If your sander will not operate, check the power at the mains plug.
2. If the sander does not abrade surface, checking the sand paper. If the sand paper has been
worn, replace the new paper and try again. The paper must be kept in a dry place, if it is al-
lowed to become damp, the abrasive particles will lose their adhesion to the backing paper and
will not abrade.
3. If the sander dose not move smoothly, The sand paper may be loose, damaged or wrinkled.
Replace and try again.
4. If a fault cannot be rectied return the sander to an authorized dealer for repair.
1. If your power tool becomes too hot, especially when used at low speed, set the speed to
maximum and run it with no load for 2-3 minutes to cool the motor. Avoid prolonged usage at
very low speeds. Always use sand paper that is suitable for the material you want to sand.
2. Always ensure the work-piece is rmly held or clamped to prevent movement.
3. Any movement of the material may affect the quality of the sanding nish.
4. Start your sander before sanding and turn it off only after you stop sanding. For the best
results, sand wood in the direction of the grain.
5. Do not start sanding without having the sandpaper tted.
6. Do not allow the sandpaper to wear away it will damage the base-plate. The guarantee also
cover base-plate wear and tear.
7. Use coarse grit paper to sand rough surfaces, medium grit for smooth surfaces and ine grit for
the nal surfaces. If necessary, rst make a test run on scrap material.
8. Use only good quality sandpaper.
9. The sandpaper controls the sanding efciency, not the amount of force you apply to he tool.
Excessive force will reduce the sanding efciency and cause motor overload. Replacing the
sandpaper regularly will maintain optimum sanding efciency.

SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
• Manténgase alerta, fíjese en lo que
está haciendo y use el sentido común
cuando utilice una herramienta eléctrica.
No use la herramienta cuando esté cansado
o se encuentre bajo la inuencia de drogas,
alcohol o medicamentos. Un momento de
distracción al utilizar herramientas eléctricas
puede dar lugar a lesiones personales graves.
• Utilice equipo de seguridad. Use
siempre protección ocular. La utilización del
equipo de seguridad como mascara antipolvo,
zapatos de seguridad antideslizantaes,
casco o protección auditiva para condiciones
adecuadas reducirá el riego de lesiones
personales.
• Evite el arranque accidental. Asegúrese
de que el interruptor esté en la posición de
trabado o de apagado antes de instalar
el paquete de baterías. Transportar
herramientas con el dedo en el interruptor
o instalar el paquete de batería cuando

accidentes.

• Desconecte la batería de la herramienta
o ponga el interruptor en la posición de
trabado o de apagado antes de hacer
cualquier ajuste, cambio de accesorios o
guardar la herramienta. Estas medidas de
seguridad preventivas reducen el riesgo de
encender la herramienta accidentalmente.
• Guarde las herramientas que no esté
usando fuera del alcance de los niños
y otras personas no capacitadas. Las
