2 Safety
Guidelines and instructions with which you must comply, are summarized in this section.
Personnel who mount, operate and maintain this implement, must have read and under-
stood this operating manual.
2.1 Intended use
This device is an electronic spread rate and spread width regulator for the type of matev
spreaders specified on the cover page and it is available for spread rate regulation,
spread width regulation, or as a combination device for regulation of spread rate as well
as spread width. The desired spread rate or spread width are set via separate potentiom-
eters on the control unit, The pushers, i.e. the spread apron are/is activated via electric
motors.
All other uses are excluded.
2.2 General safety instructions
General safety instructions are explained in this section. These safety instructions are
used in the subsequent chapters. In addition to the safety aspect, you will save money
and work time if you follow these safety instructions.


3 Installation

Attention!
Before starting up the implement, read the instructions on safety and han-
dling for operation of the entire implement and connection to the tractor.
3.1 Installation of the spread rate regulator

Switch off the tractor and remove the ignition key.

4. Connect pushers to the piston rod of the electric motor.

5. Lay out the cable from the electric cylinder to the control device. You can fasten the
control device on any iron part in the cab, using the magnetic base.

3.2 Installation of the spread width regulator
6. Dismount the shackle on the spread apron, turn it 180° and refasten it.

7. Mount the electric cylinder.

8. Lay out the cable from the electric cylinder to the control device. You can fasten the
control device on any iron part in the cab, using the magnetic base.
3.3 Mounting and dismounting the combination device
Mount the two electric cylinders and the combination control device as described in chap.
3.1 and 3.2.

4 Operation
By setting the rotary knob on a specific position the pushers, i.e. the spread apron
open/opens accordingly.
By moving the switch to “OFF” the pushers, i.e. the spread apron close/closes complete-
ly. When moving the switch to “ON” the pushers, i.e. the spread apron open/opens to the
pre-set value.
If there are faults, problems, or other indications of malfunction, contact your sales con-
sultant or local dealer.

5 Disposal
The implement must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable regulations of the
municipality or the country. Take the parts to the collection points for residual waste, spe-
cial waste, or recycle them depending on material.
