1. Check if the power voltage,
as shown on the rating label
located on the bottom of the unit,
corresponds to your local power
supply. If it does not, consult your
dealer or service centre.
2. Connect the mains adapter to
the mains socket. The unit is now
connected and ready for use.
3. To switch the unit o completely, withdraw the mains cable from the mains socket.
4. Install the unit near a mains socket where the mains plug can be easily reached.

Power Source
Mains Power
Before use, make sure that the rated voltage of your radio matches your local voltage.
To completely disconnect the unit from the mains power, the mains adapter must be
disconnected from the mains socket.

This battery is only for clock operation and alarm memory during power interruption.
You cannot listen to the radio with the battery.
Memory Backup
This unit incorporates a battery back up circuit that will keep the clock running and alarm
time in memory in the event of a temporary power interruption.
1. Insert the 9V battery (not included) into the battery
compartment located at the bottom of the unit.
2. Press and hold the end of the battery with your thumbs
( A), whilst push the battery in the direction as shown
until it sticks out ( B).
Handling the Batteries
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery
compartment.
• Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance
with local regulations.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.

• Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit o
completely.
Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the sound with the VOLUME control.
General Operation
Powering ON/OFF
• Switch the FUNCTION selector to the position“ON”to switch
on the unit.
• Switch the FUNCTION selector to the position“OFF”to
switch o the unit.
Setting the Clock
1. Press and hold the TIME button and while at the same time press the HOUR button
repeatedly to adjust the hour digits.
2. Press and hold the TIME button and while at the same time press the MIN button
repeatedly to adjust the minute digits.
Setting the Alarm
1. Press and hold the ALARM button while at the same time press the HOUR button
/ MIN button repeatedly to adjust the hour / minute digits. The alarm time will be
conrmed when you release the buttons.

2. For Radio Alarm
First tune in to a desired station (see Radio Reception on
the next page) and then adjust the volume and adjust the
FUNCTION button to RADIO ALARM.
For Buzzer Alarm
Adjust the FUNCTION button to BUZZER ALARM.
After setting alarm, you can press the ALARM button to view the alarm time.
Snooze Function
Press the SNOOZE button when the RADIO or BUZZER sounds. The alarm will go o and
will then sound again in approximately 9 minutes.
To turn o the alarm, press the ALARM button when the RADIO or BUZZER sounds. The
alarm function will still be active the next day.
Sleep Timer Setting
This function automatically switches the unit to standby after the preset time has elapsed.
Switch the FUNCTION button to OFF, BUZZER ALARM or RADIO ALARM rst to set sleep
timer.
• Press the SLEEP button once, the radio turns on and it will turn o after 59 minutes.
• Press and hold the SLEEP button while at the same time press the HOUR button / MIN
button repeatedly to adjust the hour / min digits. The sleep timer will be conrmed
when you released the buttons. The time begins to count down from the preset time.
(Maximum of sleep timer up to an hour and 59 minutes).
• Press the SNOOZE button to turn o the sleep timer.
3. The alarm indicator will light up. The the unit will wake up to“Radio”or “Buzzer” when
alarm timer reaches the preset time and then shut o automatically after one hour &
59 minutes.

Radio Reception
1. Adjust the BAND selector to a desired mode (AM / FM).
2. Turn the TUNING control to tune to a station.
For Better Reception
FM: Fully unwind the FM aerial. Extend the FM aerial and place it in the position that
sounds best.
Do not connect the FM aerial to an outside aerial.
AM: Reposition the unit to get better AM reception.

Hints and Tips
Problem Solution
Poor FM reception • Make sure FM aerial wire is fully extended.
• Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception.
Move the unit away from them (especially those with motors
and transformers).
Poor AM reception • Rotate the unit horizontally until orientation with best
reception is found.
Clock does not show
the correct time.
There has been an electrical power interruption.
Alarm does not come
on at the preset time
To turn on the RADIO or BUZZER alarm, check the following
points:
• Is the current time correctly set on the time display? Check the
PM indicator.
• Is the alarm time correctly set?

Dette batteriet har kun til formål å holde klokken i gang og sikkerhetskopiere minnet
i tilfelle strømmen er borte. Du kan ikke lytte til radio med batteridrift.
Sikkerhetskopiering av minnet
Denne enheten er utstyrt med et sikkerhetsbatteri som vil holde klokken gående og
alarmtiden i minnet selv om strømmen skulle bli avbrutt.
1. Sett et 9 V batteri (medfølger ikke) inn i batterirommet
som du nner under enheten.
2. Trykk og hold enden av batteriet med tomlene ( A)
samtidig med at du skyver batteriet i den viste retningen
til det stikker ut ( B).
Håndtere batterier
• Utilbørlig eller feil bruk av batterier kan føre til korrosjon eller batterilekkasje, noe som
kan forårsake personskader eller skade på eiendom.
• Sett batteriet riktig inn ved å følge polariteten (+ og -) som indikert i batterirommet.
• Bruk kun samme type batterier som er indikert i denne håndboken.
• Ikke kast brukte batterier som husholdningsavfall. Kast dem i samsvar med lokale
bestemmelser.
• Utsett ikke batteriet for direkte sollys eller overdreven varme.

(MINUTT)-knappen gjentatte ganger for å stille time/minutt-sifrene. Når du slipper
knappene blir alarmtiden bekreftet.

2. Velge radiovekking
Først tunes ønsket stasjon inn (se Radiomottak på
neste side), deretter justeres volumet, og til slutt skyves
FUNKSJONSBRYTEREN til RADIO ALARM.
Velge signalvekking
Skyv FUNKSJONSBRYTEREN til BUZZER ALARM.
Etter at du har stilt inn alarmen, kan du trykke ALARM-knappen for å
kontrollere alarmtiden.
Utsette vekkingen
Trykk SNOOZE (UTSETT)-knappen når RADIOEN eller LYDSIGNALET slår seg på. Alarmen
slår seg av midlertidig, og vekker deg igjen etter omtrent 9 minutter.
For å slå av alarmen, må du trykke ALARM-knappen når du hører RADIOEN eller
LYDSIGNALET. Neste dag er alarmen aktiv igjen.
Stille inn innsovingstid
Denne funksjonen slår enheten automatisk i ventemodus etter at den forhåndsinnstilte
tiden er gått.
Skyv FUNKSJONSBRYTEREN til OFF (AV), BUZZER ALARM eller RADIO ALARM før du
stiller inn innsovingstiden.
• Trykk SLEEP (INNSOVING)-knappen én gang. Radioen slår seg på og vil i
utgangspunktet være på i 59 minutter.
• Trykk og hold SLEEP (INNSOVING)-knappen og trykk samtidig HOUR (TIME)-knappen /
MIN (MINUTT)-knappen gjentatte ganger for å stille time/minutt-sifrene. Når du slipper
knappene blir innsovingstiden bekreftet. Den innstilte tiden begynner å telle ned. (Den
maksimale innsovingstiden er én time og 59 minutter).
• Trykk SNOOZE (UTSETT)-knappen for å slå av innsovingstiden.
3. Alarmindikatoren lyser. Enheten vil vekke deg med å slå på radioen eller avgi et
lydsignal når den innstilte alarmtiden nås, og slå av vekkingen automatisk etter én
time og 59 minutter.

Radiomottak
1. Skyv BAND-bryteren til ønsket bølgelengde (AM/FM).
2. Drei TUNING-hjulet for å tune inn til en stasjon.
For bedre mottak
FM: Vikle FM-antennen helt ut. Strekk FM-antennen helt ut og plasser den slik at du
får best mulig mottak.
Ikke kople FM-antennen til en ekstern antenne.
AM: Sett enheten i en ny stilling inntil du får best mulig mottak på mellombølgen.

Hint og tips
Problem Løsning
Dårlig FM-mottak • Påse at FM-antennen er helt strukket ut.
• Elektrisk interferens i hjemmet kan forårsake dårlig mottak.
Plasser enheten unna slike støykilder (som for eksempel
motorer og transformatorer).
Dårlig AM-mottak • Rotér enheten horisontalt inntil du nner den retningen som
gir best mottak.
Klokken viser feil tid. Det har vært et strømbrudd.
Alarm utløses ikke på

• Viser skjermen riktig tid? Kontroller PM-indikatoren.
