concerning product introduction, operating instructions, functional settings and safety precautions.

The PF800 does not have any internal
memory to store media les or included a
external memory card with the packaging.
You will need to have one external memory
card (SD/ MMC/SM/CF/MS/xD/MS Pro) with
media (photos, video or music) les to oper-
ate this device.

Remote Control Preparation & Use
The wireless remote control already has a battery installed. To enable the remote, you
will need to remove the battery protector as show below.
1. Turn over the remote to the back cover.
2. Pull the plastic tab to enable the battery in the remote.
Your remote is now ready for use.

Remote Control Battery Holder
Release Clip Handle
Using the Wireless Remote Control
The remote control works best when pointed
directly at the unit. Stay within 30 degree angle
of the unit.
Battery Polarity
To replace the battery, remove the Battery Holder from the remote control. To re-
move the battery holder, use your thumbnail to squeeze the Release Clip in toward
the center, while simultaneously pulling the Handle out with your index ngernail.
Place the battery into the holder as pictured below with the POSITIVE SIDE
(marked on Battery as “ +”) facing upwards and insert into the remote control to
complete the battery installation.

a. Connect the player with the
stand as shown :
b. Connect the power adapter to the power outlet. Connect the DC-out port of the AC
Adapter to the DC-in port of the player. As shown below:
c. Insert a memory card into the appropriate socket (be careful to insert the card
properly). Move the power switch to ON position. You are now ready to enjoy
your photos, music and video les.

d. Connect the AV cable to the TV set. As shown below:
Attention:
You must return to the picture frame’s Main Menu FIRST before connecting the
AV output cable to your TV or external video device. If there is no video signal
displayed on the external video device, try the following: Unplug the AV cable,
turn off & back on the picture frame and return to the Main Menu, then connect
the AV cable to your TV.
You cannot display video on BOTH the picture frame and an external video
device at the same time. During AV output mode, the video signal will be sent
to a TV or external video device and only a blue screen will be displayed on the
picture frame

If the player has no memory card installed, “No device, please insert one” will appear.
If the player contains more than one memory card, the ‘Device’ menu screen will
appear. Please refer to section “3-1 Device” for further details. Once a memory card is
selected the main menu screen appears.
Use the / / / navigation buttons to move through the selections and
press to conrm.
If there are two memory cards installed,
you will be asked to select which installed
memory card is be played. You can also
use this function to switch between installed
memory cards.
Use the / navigation buttons to move through the selections and press
to conrm.
Attention: If only one memory card is present, this screen will not be shown
or you need not select Device from the Main Menu.

Choose “Photo”
from the Main menu to
enter the Photo Digest/Playback
menu, as shown in the diagram:
Use the / / / navigation buttons to
move through the selections and press to conrm.
NOTE: If the Auto Start feature in the SLIDESHOW SETUP menu is set to
ON, the playback of all photo les at power up will begin and the Photo Digest/
Playback menu will not be visible.
Action buttons menu - Photo Digest/Playback:
Use the navigation buttons to move through the thumbnails in the thumbnail page.
Highlight either the rst or the last thumbnail and use the / button to access
the action buttons, including:
a. Previous Page les: Browse previous page les
b. Next Page les: Browse next page les
c. Music+Photo Slide Show: Play music while watching a slide show
d. Repeat Mode: Choose slide show repeat mode
e. Return to Previous Menu

While a slideshow is being played press / buttons select previous/next picture,
Press button to access the action buttons, including:
a. Previous Page les: Playback previous les
b. Next Page les: Playback next les
c. Pause/Play: Pause/Continue slideshow
d. Rotation: Change the rotation of the display of a photo. This function is not available
when in Music Slideshow.
e. Zoom: Zoom-in the display by a factor of 2X, 3X, and 4X. Pressing once
more will return the display to its original un-zoomed state. While
in the Zoom mode, you can click on the action button and use the
navigation buttons to pan the display Left, Right, Up, or Down.
Click on the action button again to exit.
f. Information On/Off: The properties of the photo displayed on screen.
g. Return to Previous Menu
Choose “Music” in the menu
to enter the music playback
interface, as shown in the diagram:
Use the / navigation buttons to move through the selections and press to
play. Press / adjust the music volume.

Action buttons menu - Music Menu:
Use the navigation buttons to move through the music les. Highlight the music le
that you wish to start play and use the / button to access the action buttons,
including:
a. Previous Page les: Browse previous page les
b. Next Page les: Browse next page les
c. Music+Photo Slide Show: Playing music while slide show
d. Repeat Mode: Choose music playback repeat mode
e. Show/Hide Graphics EQ: Turn on/off the graphic equalizer bar.
f. Return to Previous Menu
Choose “Video” in the Main menu
to enter the video playback
interface, as shown in the diagram:
Use the / / / navigation buttons to move through the selections and press
to play. Press / to adjust the music volume.

Action buttons menu - File Menu
Use the navigation buttons / / / to navigate through the les or folders
listed. Highlight either the folder or le that wish to view / play and press ENTER. To
access action menus, use the / buttons, including:
a. Previous les: Browse previous page les
b. Next les: Browse next page les
c. Repeat Mode: Choose video playback repeat mode
d. Return to Previous Menu
While playing a video le, press / buttons select previous/next video le. Press
button to access the action buttons, including:
a. Previous Page les: Playback previous les
b. Next Page les: Playback next les
c. Pause/Play: Pause/Continue play
d. Fast Backward: fast reverse within the current trackFast Backward: fast reverse within the current track
e. Fast Forward: fast forward within the current trackFast Forward: fast forward within the current track

open or enter a sub-folder.

Highlight either the rst or the last thumbnail and use the / button to access the
action buttons, including:
a. Previous Page les: Browse previous page les
b. Next Page les: Browse next page les
c. Delete File: Delete current le or folder. This function requires enabling the “FILE
EDITING” item on the “Setup” of “Preferences” (Page 20).

enter the system setup interface,
as shown in the diagram:

to conrm. Press / buttons to enter/exit options settings, press to conrm.

a. PHOTO SETUP
The Photo Setup functions are
illustrated in the following section:
THUMBNAIL DIGEST
Selecting “ON” will display the photo thumbnails using the original thumbnail les cre-
ated by the digital camera and stored within the memory card. This process will make
displaying thumbnails of large photos in a short time. (factory default mode)
Selecting “OFF” will display the photo thumbnails by decoding the photo and scaling
down to t into the display area allocated for the thumbnail. This process may take a
longer time if the photos are of high resolutions (big les).
ORIENTATION
Selecting “AUTO” will display the photo in the orientation specied by the orientation bit
contained within the photo le (factory default mode).
Selecting “MANUAL” will ignore the orientation bit specication
PHOTO DISPLAY SIZE
Selecting “WIDE MODE” will cause the photo to enlarge to t the screen, either to the
top and bottom or the left and right sides. If the photo is taller than it is wide (portrait
aspect ratio) it will enlarge to the top and bottom of the screen. If the photo is wider
than it is tall (landscape) it will enlarge to the left and right sides. Selecting “DEFAULT”
will display photos in the original image. (factory default mode)
MAIN PAGE
Select to return to the Setup Main Page screen.

b. SLIDESHOW SETUP
The Slideshow Setup is illustrated
in the following sections:
SLIDESHOW MODE
Selecting “MANUAL” gives full control of the photo slideshow timing to the user. The user
will need to use the / keys of the remote control to scroll through the photos
stored in the memory card. Selecting “AUTO” will initiate the photo slideshow after a full
screen photo display has started (factory default mode).
TRANSITION TIME
This setting allows you to select the display time (3, 5,10 or 30 seconds) of each picture
shown during a slide show (factory default 10 seconds).
TRANSITION
Selecting the other modes will display the photo using the transition chosen.
The photo transition choices are:
Full Screen, Top-to-Bottom, Bottom-to-Top, Top/Bottom-to-Center, Center-to-Top/Bot-
tom, Blind Top-to-Bottom, Left-to-Right, Right-to-Left, Left/Right-to-Center, Center-to-
Left/Right, Implode (corners-to-center), Blind Left-to-Right, Cross-Fade (photo fades
into next photo) and Random (default).

AUTO REPEAT
Select “ON” to set repeat all mode while auto start slide show. (default)
Select “OFF” to set normal mode while auto start slide show.
AUTO START
The purpose of this setting is to prevent a still image being permantently displayed after
the unit is powered-up when no one is using it. The Auto Start function is also useful for
commercial advertising.
Selecting OFF” disables automatic playback after power on of the system.
Selecting PHOTO+MUSIC” will start, after a short delay, the automatic playback of a
photo with music show. The les play sequentially, in an alphabetical order based on the
lenames (no thumbnails page display). Both Music and Photo les must be present in
order for the Photo-Music Auto Start function to occur. You can change the operation of
the Harrier at this time by pressing the key on the remote control - this will cause
the action button row to appear at the bottom of the screen (default).
Selecting PHOTO+VIDEO” will start, after a short delay, the automatic playback of a
photo and video show. The les play sequentially, in an alphabetical order based on the
lenames (no thumbnails page display). Photos display without music and the video
clips play with the sound tracks associated with them. Pressing any key on the remote
control will disable the automatic playback and jump to the main menu.
Selecting photo DEMO mode will display the pre-programmed image stored inside
picture frame.

INFORMATION ROW
Selecting “ON” will cause the Information Row to be displayed.
Selecting “OFF” will turn off the Information Row. (default)
MAIN PAGE
Selecting will return to the Main Setup screen.
c. PREFERENCES
The System Preference Setup is
illustrated in the following sections.
VIDEO OUTPUT
Selecting “CVBS NTSC” will set the video output to NTSC mode.
Selecting “CVBS PAL” will set the video output to PAL mode.
BRIGHTNESS
Press / to choose the most suitable screen brightness.
CONTRAST
Press / to choose the most suitable screen contrast.
