ank you for purchasing a Maxibright product. You now have one of the best quality control units that money can
buy. To ensure the safe and efficient use, please take the time to carefully read this entire instruction sheet before
installation or before switching on any part of the system.
Safety Advice
MAXISWITCH PRO
• e unit is designed for wall mounting to a flat sturdy surface using the integral bracket.
• Before plugging the unit into the mains sockets ensure that there is nothing plugged into the unit, the
unit is securely fixed and the mains supply sockets are turned off.
• Mains supplies:
-e 2 way control unit is fitted with 1 x standard UK (BS1363) plug fitted with a 13A fuse.
is should be fed using a standard UK (BS1363) socket outlet.
-e 4/6/8 way control unit is fitted with 2 x standard UK (BS1363) plugs each fitted with a 13A fuse.
ese should be fed from 2 x standard UK (BS1363) socket oulets, adjacent to each other or 1 x standard
UK (BS1363)double socket.
is unit must never have both plugs connected to a single socket outlet by the use of an adaptor.
• Plug the unit into the mains socket oulet/outlets.
• When powering devices from this unit it is essential that the maximum current ratings are not exceeded.
On the 2 way control unit, the total current should not exceed 13A for all equipment connected.
On the 4/6/8 way control unit, the total current should not exceed 13A for all equipment connected to
the sockets on the left hand side of the unit, and 13A for all equipment connected to the sockets on the
right hand of the unit.
• Refer to the individual device instructions for the current drawn (amps) by each device.
• Before doing anything with the unit, make sure that the power supply is disconnected.
• Keep away from children, pets and water. Suitable for indoor use only.
• Never tamper with the unit as there are no user serviceable parts inside and this will void the guarantee.
• Only use the cables provided to connect the unit to the mains. Never tamper with or modify the cables.
• Replacement fuses must be of an identical type and rating to those supplied.
• Do not cover the unit.
• Do not push objects into the ventilation slots.
• is product is designed to plug directly into suitable mains sockets. Do not plug this unit into extension units or
adaptor sockets - see installation details.
• Never operate any switches or disconnect any device with wet hands.
• is product is intended for the timed switching of electrical products. is means that equipment could be
switched on, and remain on, when no one is present or when people are unaware. Ensure that all equipment is
safe under these conditions and that before any work is carried out to any devices supplied by this unit they are
disconnected from it.
• Do not exceed the maximum load capacity - see installation details.
• After switching off the unit, leave for at least 5 minutes before unplugging either the unit or any devices
connected to it. is will allow any connected appliances to safely discharge.

Guarantee & Liability
• Turn on the supply socket outlets.
• To set the time, remove the clear front cover from the timer and rotate the minute hand until the correct time is
reached. Ensure that the front cover is refitted correctly.
• e timer has a three position overrride switch:
In position ‘I’ the output sockets will be switched on at all times
irrespective of the timer settings.
In position ‘O’ the output sockets will be switched off at all times
irrespective of the timer settings.
In position ‘ ‘ the output sockets will be switched on or off in
accordance with the timer settings.
e time that sockets are required to be switched ‘ON’ when in the ‘ ’ position is set by moving the tappets to the
outer position for the required period. (See Fig.1)
Disposal
is unit is not suitable for disposal as or with household waste. It should be taken to a local recycling centre.
• Maxibright Maxiswitch Pro units carry a 2 year guarantee (terms & conditions apply), excluding faulty fuses
and tampering .
• In the unlikely event that you find fault with this product, please contact your supplier.
e manufacturer shall not be responsible for any damage caused by operation of the unit, be it incidental or
consequential; or of any type; including, without limitation, damage or injury, caused to other products, machinery,
or buildings. Nor will responsibility be accepted for loss of time or profit, loss of finished product, or for any
inconvenience caused in any way whatsoever.

• Ensure that the timer switch is in the ‘ ‘ position and rotate the clock face until the unit is in an ‘ON’ position
where the sockets should always be on.
• Plug in a device that is known to be working and turn on.
• If this does not power the unit, disconnect from the mains and check the fuses in the plugs.
Replace if necessary, ensuring the same type and rating of fuse is fitted.
• Re-connect the unit to the mains and retry the known working device.
• If this still does not power the unit please contact your supplier.
