Setup
First time use
After removing the radio from the packaging, fully extend the
cable aerial and connect the mains adaptor to the mains outlet and
the power lead to the ‘DC in’ socket located on the back of the radio.
Press the button to take it out of standby mode, the radio will turn
on. The radio will perform a full scan of the DAB frequencies
available. The scan progress and the number of DAB stations found
will be shown on the display.
The date and time will automatically be set by the DAB signal the
radio is receiving. If your radio is in a poor signal area, the date and
time will not be set and you will see a message on the display.
You can set the time manually through the ‘System’ menu.
This will also mean you can only use the radio in FM mode as the
DAB signal is not strong enough for the radio to receive stations.
After the date and time has been set the radio will be ready to use.

Instructions
Selecting a DAB station
Press the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons to cycle through the available
stations. All the stations are displayed in alphabetical order.
Once you have found the required DAB/FM station to listen to, press
the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to select it. The station will only change
once it has been selected, so you can browse the available stations
without disturbing the current selected station.
Please Note:
All button actions unless stated are a quick press.
Saving a DAB/FM station
Press and hold the ‘Preset’ button for 3 seconds once you have
tuned the radio on to a required station in DAB or FM mode. The
display will show the ‘Preset Store’ message.
Press the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons to select a slot (1 to 10) and
press the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to save the preset. You will see the
saved message on the screen conrming the preset has been stored.

Selecting a preset DAB/FM station
Press the ‘Preset’ button and use the Press the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’
buttons cycle through the saved presets. To select a preset press
the ‘Select/Snooze’ button.
Auto Tune DAB
To fully retune all of the available stations on DAB press and hold the
‘Info/Menu’ button. This will show you the scan option on the dis-
play. Press the ‘Select/Snooze’ button select the ‘Full Scan’ option.
The radio will now scan through all the available channels.
All the channels found will be shown in alphabetical order.
Manually Tune DAB
To manually tune the radio, press ‘Info/Menu’ button and ‘Tune +’ Or
‘Tune -’ buttons untill ‘Manual Tune’ is displayed. Press the ‘Select/
Snooze’ button to select.
Use the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons to tune the radio in. This helps
in poor signal areas to get a clear signal. Repeat the storing a preset
procedure to save the current tuning.

Auto Tune FM
To auto tune to the next available radio station press and hold the
‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ button for 3 seconds. This will start the radio to
auto scan.
The scan will always stop at the next signal received.
Repeat the storing preset procedure to save the current station.
You can change between all stations and strong station for the FM
scan by pressing and holding the ‘Info/Menu’ button and selecting
‘Scan Setting’ with the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons.
Use the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons to select either ‘Strong Stations’
or ‘All Stations’ and press the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm the
required selection. The asterisk in the top right corner indicates
current selection.
You will be sent to the previous menu once a selection has been
made. Press the ‘Info/Menu’ button to return to the main screen.
Manually Tune FM
Use the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons in either direction to tune the
radio in FM mode.
This helps in poor signal areas to get a clear signal.
Repeat the storing preset procedure to save the current station.

Reset
To reset the unit press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button until the screen
changes, cycle through the options with the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ but-
tons and select ‘System’ by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button.
Cycle through the menu options as before and select
‘Factory Reset’.
Select ‘Yes’ and conrm by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button.
The radio will restore itself to the original factory settings.
This will clear any presets saved.

Manually Setting the Time/Date
Press and hold ‘Info/Menu’ button until the screen changes, cycle
through the options with the ‘Tune +/-’ buttons and select ‘System’
by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button. Cycle through the next menu
and select ‘Time’.
Select the ‘Set Time/Date’ time option. You will see the hours ash-
ing rst. Use the ‘Tune +’ Or ‘Tune -’ buttons to the required hour and
press in the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm your selection.
The minutes will be ashing, repeat the process as done for the
hours to set the minutes.
After the time has been set it will cycle through to the date settings.
Repeat the process that you used to set the time to set the required
date. A message will appear on the display when successfully set.
Under the ‘Time’ menu options you can also set the time
automatically by selecting ‘Auto Update’. This will update the date
and time via the DAB signal received by the radio.

Setting the Alarms
There are 2 alarms that you can set on this radio. Both are set in
the same way. Press and hold ‘Info/Menu’ button until the screen
changes, cycle through the options with the ‘Tune +/-’ buttons and
select ‘System’ by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button on the menu.
Press ‘Select/Snooze’ again on ‘Alarm’.To select the rst or second
alarm press the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons. Once you have chose
the required alarm to set press the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm
your selection.
You will see the hours ashing rst. Press the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’
buttons to select the required hour and press the ‘Select/Snooze’
button to conrm your selection. The minutes will be ashing. Re-
peat the process as done for the hours to set the minutes.
You next option is to set the duration of the alarm. You can set the
duration in intervals of 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes before the alarm
will stop. You can select one of these options by using the ‘Select/
Snooze’ button to conrm the select of the required duration.
You will be presented with a source option for the alarm.
You can choose between ‘Buzzer’, ‘DAB’ or ‘FM’. If you choose
‘Buzzer’ it will got to the nal option. If you choose either ‘DAB’ or
‘FM’ you will have a further choice of ‘Last Listened’ or one of your
saved presets.
Use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons as before to select and conrm
the option required to be alerted to.

Instructions
The next step is to choose and set the frequency of the alarm.
Your options will be ‘Daily’, ‘Once’, ‘Weekends’, or ‘Weekdays’. Use
the ‘Scroll’ dial to select and conrm the required option for your
alarm.
You will now be able to set the volume level for your alarm.
Use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons to set the volume level and press
the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm the required audio level for
your alarm.
You will now see the option to either activate or leave it dormant.
Use the ‘Scroll’ dial to set the alarm to ‘On’ or ‘Off’.
Use the ‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm the selection required for
your alarm. If you are successful you will see the message ‘Alarm
Saved’.
If cancelled through the process or the alarm failed to save you will
see the message ‘Alarm Not Saved’.

Instructions
Stopping the Alarm
When the alarm is set off press the button. This will stop the alarm.
If you haven’t set the alarm to Daily, Weekend or Weekdays end the
you will need to reset the alarm.
Snooze Function
When the alarm is sounding press the ’Select/Snooze’ button to
temporarily disable the alarm and begin a 5 minute count down.
The alarm will go off again after the 5 minute countdown is complete
and you can choose to disable it by pressing the button or press-
ing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button again.

Backlight Controls
Press and hold ‘Info/Menu’ button until the screen changes, cycle
through the options with the ‘Tune +/-’ buttons and select ‘System’
by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button. Cycle through the option
until you get to ‘Backlight’ and select it.
To change the time out setting under ‘Backlight’ option and select
‘Time Out’ with the ‘‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons. You can choose from
several options including ‘On’ which is permanently lit. The listed
numbers are the amount of seconds the display will stay lit before
fading out to the time out display lighting level. Use the ‘Tune -’ or
‘Tune +’ buttons l to select the required time out period.
The asterisk in the top right corner indicates the current selection.
To change the main lighting level of the display, press ‘Backlight’ and
use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons to select ‘On level’. You will nd
the options high, med and low. Use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons
to
select the required lighting level.
To change the dim lighting level of the display, press ‘Backlight’ and
use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons to select ‘Dim level’. You will nd
the options high, med and low. Use the ‘Scroll’ dial to select the re-
quired lighting level.

Instructions
Setting the Language
You can change the display language to one of the following:
•English,Dansk,Français,Deutsch,orItaliano.
To do this press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button and use the ‘Tune -’
or ‘Tune +’ buttons to navigate to ‘System’ then navigate and select
‘Language’ from the system menu.
Select the required language with the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons
and press ‘Select/Snooze’ to conrm your selection. The asterisk in
the top right corner indicates the current selection.
Prune
You can remove DAB stations from the radio that are listed with a ‘?’
in front of their name by using the prune function.
Once you’ve selected a station you wish to remove, press and hold
the ‘Menu’ button and navigate the menu options to ‘Prune’. You will
be presented with the choice ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Select ‘Yes’ to remove
the station.
You can restore all pruned DAB stations by performing a factory re-
set as per reset instructions.

DRC
DRC or Dynamic Range Compression is a feature that some DAB
stations use. This enables the audio to be evened out by raising the
volume of the quieter audio levels and lowering the volume of the
louder audio levels.
To set this press the ‘Menu’ button, navigate to the ‘DRC’ option us-
ing the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune +’ buttons and selecting it by pressing the
‘Select/Snooze’ button.
The ‘Low’ option will give you a small amount of DRC, where as
‘High’ with give you strong amount of DRC. Use the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune
+’
buttons to navigate between the options and to select the required
preference. The asterisk in the top right corner indicates the current
selection.

Inactive Standby
Inactive standby will turn the unit off after a 2, 4, 5 or 6 hour period.
To set this press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button, navigate to the
‘System’ then to ‘Inactive Standby’ option using the ‘Tune -’ or ‘Tune
+’ buttons and selecting it by pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button.
Once ‘Inactive Standby’ has been select you can choose the period
of time required or ‘OFF’ for the standby function and conrm by
pressing the ‘Select/Snooze’ button. The asterisk in the top right
corner indicates the current selection.
Once this is set you will need to set this function to ‘OFF’ to disable
it.
Instructions

Control Method
To access or set any of the features the radio needs to be out of
standby mode. Press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button until either
‘Full Scan’ appears if you are in DAB mode or ‘Scan Settings’ if you
are in FM mode to access the menu.
Use the Tune + or - buttons to cycle the available options and the
‘Select/Snooze’ button to conrm the selection.
Press ‘Info/Menu’ to move back through the menus until you are
back on the radio.

Adaptor Care
To get the best out of your adaptor please observe the following:
•Alwaysremovetheadaptorbyholdingthebodyoftheplugorby
holding the connector’s body and not the wire.
•Donotwrapthecablearoundthebodyoftheadaptor.Thiscan
cause harm to the cable. Instead bunch the cable up as it was
presented in the package.

No Internal Memory
If the unit is unplugged or turned off at the mains all the settings will
be lost and you will have to set the radio up again.
Alarm Flashing Screen
There is no option to disable the ashing display when the alarm is
set off.
