MP3767 Mobile Mains Roller Power Unit
In order to ensure correct and safe usage of your extension reel, you should read these instructions carefully. Please
store these instructions for future reference.
Before each use
To guarantee safe and reliable device operation it is essential to ensure the correct operation of the RCCB before each
use.
Start by removing all devices connected to either the BS1363 or USB sockets. Connect the unit to a 230VAC source
and ensure the switches on both MCB and RCCB are in the ‘ON’ position.
Correct operation of the RCCB is confirmed by the switch of the RCCB immediately moving to the ‘OFF’ position the
moment the test button (marked ‘T’) is depressed.
If the RCCB does not switch off, or cannot be reset to the ‘ON’ position after testing, it should be considered defective;
consult the services of a qualified electrician or if still within the warranty period return the unit to its original place of
purchase for exchange.
Instructions for use
Always FULLY unwind the cable from the drum before use! Failure to do this will result in the cable overheating.
Once connected to an AC supply and both RCCB and MCB are in the ‘ON’ position the red status LED will illuminate
and the unit is ready for use.
LED lamp
The LED torch can be activated by depressing the power button on the face of the unit. Note that an AC supply must
be present for the lamp to operate.
USB power
When the red status LED is illuminated 5VDC will be present at both USB sockets. Whilst the LED lamp is deactivated,
each socket will support loads of up to 2.1A. With the LED lamp activated, each socket can support a load of 1.6A.
Warning
Always fully unwind the cable from the drum before use.
Inspect the condition of the lead and enclosure before use and do not use if parts are missing, worn or
damaged.
Test the RCCB before each use. Do not use this unit if the RCCB is not working correctly.
To ensure electrical safety, this unit should only be repaired by a qualified or competent electrician.
Do not exceed the total stated capacity of 16A as this will cause an overload and cut-out. To reset,
disconnect all appliances and return the switches to the “ON” position.
Do not use the sockets, circuit breakers or USB in damp or wet conditions or with wet hands.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Ensure that the trailing cable does not pose a tripping or other hazard.
Avoid exposure to heat sources or direct sunlight.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
