Mounting the
carriage with
spiral cable
Insert carriage with spiral cable and end cap
in the profile tube and check if it runs
smoothly by manually pushing back and
forward.
Note: The cables must not stretch further than
the runway stated on the type plate! Do not
apply oil or grease to the spiral cable or
carriage!
Mounting the
carrier
Mount the carrying fork to the designated
position.
Check that it is securely in place. The carriage
must not slide out of the carrying fork.
Notes:
•Mounting position can be horizontal or vertical. If mounting the WLS in horizontal position, make sure the
opening in the profile tube shows downwards.
•Please ensure, especially in the winter months, that snowmelt does not lead to the WLS freezing and that the
WLS is not covered up during snow clearing/salt spreading operations.
•When undertaking the necessary regular gate check make sure the double insulated spiral cable is in perfect
working order and replace any damaged cables.
•Wear parts such as cables and carriages should be replaced simultaneously.
•In order to ensure proper operation of the WLS, only original cables and original profile tubes should be used.
