1BEFOREWASHINGTHEFIRSTTIME
CAUTION WITH CERTAIN MATERIALS
Always check and adhere to recommended
washingmarking onthe itemsconcerned. If no
recommendations are given, refer to those in
chapter 8, Before washing.
TRANSPORT SUPPORTS
Arethetransportsupports removed?If not, see
the Installation instructions.
Carry out the following:
1.Turnthemainpowerswitch, ,OFFand
then back ON again to put the machine in its
start mode.
2.Press the
Menu
button 5 times. All five pres-
ses must be within 15 seconds.
3.Press the button once.The rinse sen-
sor is now reset. Ignore any message on the
display.
Press the
Start/Stop
button once to return.
WASHER DOOR
The door of the washer opens electrically. Con-
sequently, the door cannot be opened normally
until the machine is connected to an electric
power supply. However, emergency opening is
available, see chapter 13, Trouble shooting.
CHECK HARDNESS OF THE WATER
Callyourlocal water company tofindout what
degreeofwater hardnessapplies.Thishassigni-
ficance in relation to the amount of detergent
that should be dispensed.

OVERFILL PROTECTION
If the level of water in the machine rises above
normal,theoverfillprotectionwillstarttopump
out water and shut off the water supply. The
programme will be interrupted if the level does
not fall within 60 seconds.
INTERRUPTING A PROGRAMME
Youcaninterruptawashingprogrammebyhol-
ding the button down for three seconds.
Themachinewillthen“remember”thepointin
the washing programme at which it was inter-
rupted. To restart: fill with new detergent, if
required, and close the door. The machine will
then start from the point at which it was inter-
rupted.
You can also interrupt a programme by pres-
sing for three seconds. However, if you
stopthemachineinthiswayitwillforgetwhere
it was in the programme and you will have to
select a programme to restart.
PACKING MATERIAL
Sort the packing material for recycling accor-
ding to recommendations by the local authori-
ties.
GENERAL
• Study and save this Use and Care Guide for
future reference.
• Electrical and water installation, if required,
must be carried out by authorized persons.
•Themachine may onlybeusedforwashing in
accordance with these operating instructions -
not for dry cleaning.
• Use only detergents intended for machine
washing.
• Remove the transport supports before using
the machine, see installation instructions.
• Repairs and maintenance which affect safety
or performance must be carried out by an aut-
horized specialist.

WASHER DOOR
Thedoor ofthe washer opens electrically. Con-
sequently, the door cannot be opened normally
until the machine is connected to an electric
power supply.
To open the door manually, see the heading,
Doorwillnotopen,inchapter13,Troubleshoo-
ting.
Themachine cannotbestartedwiththedoor
open.

gramme, see below, Interrupting a programme.

TRANSPORT/ WINTER STORAGE
If the machine is to be transported, or stored in
unheated premises where the temperature can
fallbelowfreezing point,youshouldproceedas
follows:
• Empty the coin trap and the drain pump; see
Chapter 12, Care - Cleaning.
•Turnoffthewatersupplytothewashingmach-
ine, disconnect the supply hose to the inlet val-
ve, and let the water drain from the valve and
the hose.
DISPOSAL
When the machine is no longer useful and is to
be scrapped it should be made unusable.
Get in touch with the refuse collection servi-
ce or your local authorities for advice on how to
scrap the machine in a proper manner.
Themachineismade and marked to facilitate
recycling.

CHILD-SAFE WASHING
Always close the washer door and start the pro-
grammeimmediately afterfillingthedetergent.
Do not allow children to play with the wash-
ingmachine.

The display will be extinguished if no buttons
are pressed within three minutes. The display
will be reinstated the next time any button is

RECOMMENDED WASHING MARKING
Check the recommended washing marking on
garments.Thetablebelowgivesusefulinforma-
tion on suitable washing programmes for diffe-
rent materials and amounts of washing.
COLOURED COTTON
Coloured cotton garments marked with a re-
commendation for 60ºC should the first time
bewashedat 60ºCtogetridofanysurplus dye.
If this advice is ignored there is a risk that co-
lours will run. Use a detergent without bleach
to safeguard the colours.
DELICATE WASHING
Unbleached linen
Unbleached linen should be washed at 60ºC
using a detergent without bleach or optical
whitening agent. Severely soiled linen can oc-
casionally be washed at a higher temperature,
but not too often because heat can destroy the
lustre and strength of linen.
8BEFOREWASHING
Before you start washing, here is some advice
that can be useful.
SORTING THE WASHING
Sort garments in relation to:
• How soiled they are
• Colour
• Material
GARMENTS
• Close zip-fasteners so that they do not chafe
against other items.
• New coloured garments can have surplus dye
and should therefore be washed separately the
first time.
• Turn garments inside out.
This reduces the risk of bur-
ling, dye creases, etc.
• Empty pockets and suitably
letthemwashturnedinsideout.
WASHING

Wool and silk
Wool and silk are sometimes marked machine
wash,andsometimeshandwash.TheWooland
Hand programmes of the machine are at least
as gentle as washing by hand.
Wool is particularly sensitive to mechanical
processing. If you wish to avoid spin drying,
you can press out the water instead using terry
towelling. In this case, you should select No
Spin. See Chapter 9, Washing, for details of
how to select this setting.
Most garments will tolerate a short spin, ho-
wever. The Wool and Hand programmes al-
ways include a short spin.
Man-made fibres and synthetic fibres
These materials require a lot of space if they are
not to crease. Fill the drum only to half load
when washing man-made/synthetic fibres. Se-
lectashortspinbyselectingaspinspeedof800
revolutions/minute or lower.
NOTE
Viscose and acetate are brittle when wet.
HIGH WATER LEVEL
If you require more water for the main wash
and rinsing, you can use the High water level
option.SeeChapter11,Making your own pro-
grammes, for details of how to select this op-
tion.
High water level is always used in the Wool
and Hand programmes.
AVOID CREASES WASHING
You should use the Anti-crease option to avoid
creased washing. This option means that the
washing will continue to be rotated for two
hoursaftertheprogrammehasended.SeeChap-
ter 11, Making your own programmes, for de-
tails of how to select this option.
MINIMIZING ALLERGY HAZARDS
This washing machine offers a Super rinse
function. You should use this to take account
of persons with a sensitive skin, for example
persons with allergies and infants. See Chapter
11, Making your own programmes, for details
of how to select this option.
SAVE TIME
Use the White/Coloured programme to save
time.This programme has a shorter main wash
than Normal, but it is often sufficient for nor-
mally soiled washing.
ECONOMY AND EFFICIENCY
You can save a lot of energy by not using a
stronger programme than necessary.
-Withoutincreasingthetemperature,thewash-
ing effect can be increased by selecting the E2
option. You will then save energy without lo-
sing any washing effect.
SeeChapter11,Makingyourownwashingpro-
grammes, for details of how to select E2.
- Select a fast spin speed to reduce the energy
consumptionforsubsequentdryinginatumble
dryer or a drying cabinet.
- Select Quick if you simply need to freshen up
shirts or training kit, etc. You will save both
water and energy.

DETERGENTS
Overdosing detergent will not give better re-
sults, it only increases the burden on the envi-
ronment.
Tryusinglessdetergent,andincreasethedose
only if you are displeased with the washing re-
sults.
TEXTILE DYEING
Ifyouwanttodyefabricsinthemachine,select
Normal with the Super rinse option. Choose a
temperature according to recommendations
from the dye maker.
If the fabrics to be dyed are mixtures such as
cotton/polyester, you should select a spin speed
of 800 revolutions/minute.
See chapter 11, Making own washing pro-
grammes (Super rinse) and chapter 9, Washing
-Temporaryalterations(Spinspeed),toseehow
these selections are made.
NOTE
Bleachesor stainremoversthatcontaintheche-
mical Na2S2O4, known as sodium dithionite or
sodium hyposulphite, must not be used in this
washing machine. If these substances are used
they could cause corrosion and discoloration.
NOTE
Put the dye directly in the drum - not in the
detergentcompartment.Afterdyeing,theemp-
ty machine should be run using the same pro-
gramme. Use a normal amount of detergent.
WASHING TIME
The -symbol indicates that the remaining
washing time is shown at the bottom right in
the display within ten minutes after the wash-
ing programme starts.
When a programme is choosen the washing
time is calculated.The calculated washing time
can vary from time to time due to the tempera-
ture of incoming water.
The remaining time is recalculated during
the programme and may then be increased or
reduced to some extent.

9WASHING
WASHING WITH EASY CONTROL
Easy washing by pushing a few buttons
Your washing machine works like a radio with
pre-set tuning. Instead of radio stations, howe-
ver, youselectyourpreferredwashing program-
me in this case. We have preset the
P1
-
P4
buttons with four common programmes.
Switch on the machine and press the button
for your preferred programme. You can change
the temperature and the spin speed by pressing
one or more extra buttons. You then simply
press the Start button.
To alter the settings for
P1
-
P4
You can create your own favourite program-
mes, if you wish. There is a range of different
programme types. You can also enter various
options, such as Delayed start, Pre-soaking and
Super rinse so that the programmes suit your
particular needs.
Chapter11 -Makingyourownwashingpro-
grammes, tells you what to do to create a tem-
porary or permanent programme. It also inclu-
des a list of all the available programmes and
options.

SORT THE WASHING
For tips and advice, see Chapter 8 – Before
washing.
NOTE
Empty the pockets. Coins, nails and similar
items can cause damage to the machine.
TURN ON THE MAIN POWER SWITCH

OPEN THE DOOR AND PUT IN THE
WASHING.
Press the button, and a key will
appear on the bottom edge of the display. The
door will open after three seconds. Put in the
washing.
The table above the washing programme in-
dicates how much washing you can put in for
eachprogramme.
PUTTING IN THE WASHING AND DETER-
GENT
Follow the recommendations on the de-
tergent packet for how much detergent should
be used. The capacity of the machine is for 6,0
kg washing. If you put a smaller amount in the
machine, you can reduce the amount of deter-
gent accordingly.
Powder detergent
Pour inthe powderformain wash ( )and any
pre-wash ( ), see figure.
Liquid detergent
When using liquid detergent, follow the deter-
gent manufacturer’s recommendations.
Detergent ball or dosing bag
If you are using a detergent ball or dosing bag,
load it directly with the washing and select a
programme without pre-wash.
Fabric conditioner
Pour conditioner in the compartment marked
. Follow the maker's instructions.
NOTE
Do not exceed the maximum dose level of the
container, the conditioner will otherwise flow
in too soon and deteriorate the washing effect.

SELECT A PRE-SET PROGRAMME
The machine has four pre-set program-
mes. Press the button for the desired
programme.The programmes are shown in the
table below.
You can then easily adjust the Temperature
and the Spin speed; see the next step.
You can also make permanent alterations (to
programmes, settings and options, etc.) in the
pre-setprogrammesso thattheymeetyourpar-
ticularneeds;seeChapter11,Makingyourown
washingprogrammes.
If you only wish to spin or rinse without
changingthe settingspermanently,seebelowin
this Chapter.
TEMPORARY ALTERATION OF TEMPERA-
TURE AND SPIN SPEED
Temperature
Alterthe temperaturebyindexingforwardwith
the button.
The selected temperature is indicated on the
bottom edge of the display together with the
symbol as you index forward.
You can select temperatures between 30°C
and95°CorC.ByselectingC,thewashtempe-
rature will be the same as that of the incoming
water.
It is not possible to select a temperature hig-
her than 40°C for the Hand programme.
If you wish to save the change permanently
(max. 60°C), you can press the
Enter
button af-
ter making the change.
Spin speed/No spin
Changethespinspeedbyindexingforwardwith
the button.
The selected speed is indicated in the top
right corner of the display together with the
symbol as you index forward.

If you wish to save the change permanently,
you can press the
Enter
button after making the
change.
Spinning at 400-800 revolutions/minute al-
ways means a short spin.
It is not possible to select a spin speed higher
than800 revolutions/minutefortheHandpro-
gramme.
No Spin means that the programme will be
executed without spinning and will end with
draining.
No Drain means that the programme will be
executed without spinning and will end with
the final rinsing water remaining in the machi-
ne. The wash will then remain floating in the
final rinsing water. You can then select a spin
programmeorpressthe buttontoempty
the machine, if required.
CLOSE THE DOOR AND START THE
PROGRAMME WITH THE BUTTON
The text on the bottom edge of the
display indicates that the programme has star-
ted.
NOTE
If the child lock is on, the button must be held
down for 3 seconds.
Remaining time
Theremainingtimeisshowninhoursandminu-
tes (alternating) at the bottom right of the dis-
play together with the symbol.
Once a programme has been selected, an es-
timatedrunning timefortheprogrammeisdis-
played.Thistimemayvarytosomeextent from
time to time due to the temperature of the in-
coming water and the size of the load.
The remaining time is recalculated during
the programme and may then be increased or
reduced to some extent.
DURING THE PROGRAMME
The actual sequence is shown in the display
during the programme, e.g. “Main wash” or
“Rinse”.
If you wish to interrupt or change the pro-
gramme
Hold down the button for three se-
conds.The text on the bottom edge of the
display indicates that the programme has been
interrupted.
Add more detergent, if necessary, before se-
lecting a new programme.
Putting in or taking out washing
If you wish to put in or take out washing after
you have started the machine, you must hold
downthe buttonforthreeseconds,anda
key will appear on the bottom edge of the dis-
play. Any water will be pumped out, and the
doorcanthenbe opened. Put in morewashing,
add more detergent, if necessary, and close the
door. The washing programme will restart au-
tomatically from the point at which it was in-
terrupted.
Change settings after starting
It is possible for you to alter certain settings
and options after you have started the washing
programme.

Hold down the
Menu
button for three se-
conds. Within 15 seconds of releasing the but-
ton,you mustindexforwardwiththe
Menu

ton to the new desired setting. Make any alte-
rations with and then press
Enter
.
In order to make an alteration, however, the
part of the programme that you wish to alter
must not have been activated yet.
-Temperature – can be altered before the main
wash has started.
- Spin speed – can be altered before the water is
pumped out after the main wash.
- Super rinse – can be changed before pumping
out the water after the main wash.
-E2– canbechangedbeforethemain washhas
started.
-Anti-crease–canbechangedforthefinalspin.
PROGRAMME COMPLETED
The text on the lower edge of the
display indicates that the programme is
completed.
Press the button, and a key will ap-
pear on the bottom edge of the display. The
door will open after three seconds.
WHEN WASHING IS FINISHED
Turn off the main power switch .
Close the washer door to prevent small
children from crawling into the machine.

DELAYED START (1-24 HOURS)
If Delayed start is set to 5 hours, for example,
this means that the machine will start the pro-
gramme5hoursafteryoupress the but-
ton.
If you wish to delay the start of any pro-
gramme temporarily, you should proceed as
follows before pressing the button:
1. Select the programme, but do not press the
button.
2. Index forward with the
Menu
button until
Delayed start appears in the display.
3.Indexforwardtothedesirednumberofhours
with .
4. Press the
Enter
button once. The selected
programme appears in the display.
5. Close the door and press to start the
programme.
Delayed start is disconnected automatically
at the end of the programme.
TEMPORARY SPINNING OR RINSING
If you wish to run a temporary spin or rinse pro-
gramme without altering
P1
-
P4
, you can do
the following:
1. Put in the washing and close the door.
2. Press the
P1
button once.
3. Press the
Menu
button once.
4.Indexforwardwith untilSpinorRin-
se appears in the display.
5. Press the
Enter
button once. The selected pro-
gramme appears in the display.
6.Adjustthespinspeedbyindexingforwardwith
if required.
7. Press to start the programme.
If you wish to have Spin or Rinse as one of the
four pre-set programmes, see Chapter 11, Ma-
king your own washing programmes.
IMPORTANT
If you store a programme by mistake, you can
reset it to its settings at the time of delivery; see
Reset programme in Chapter 11, Making your
ownwashingprogrammes.

GENERAL
We have preset
P1

P4
with the most com-
mon washing programmes.These programmes
usuallysuitmostusers.Youcanadjustthetem-
perature and the spin speed temporarily, and
youcanrunaspinorrinseprogrammetempor-
arilywithoutreading thisChapter;seeChapter
9, Washing.
Youcan also createyourownprogrammesto
suit you and your washing needs even better.
You can select a different type of program-
me, for example Heavy with pre-wash, Wool
or Light. You can also alter settings such as
temperature and spin speed and options such
as Pre-soak, Delayed start and E2 Eco/Effi-
ciency.
Tables containing a description of all pro-
gramme types, settings and options are inclu-
ded later in this Chapter.
Change programme
In this Chapter we tell you how to replace one
or other of the pre-set programmes with a pro-
gramme of your own.
By storing the programme, it will then be
accessiblesimplybypressingabuttoneverytime
you wish to use the washing machine.
Temporary programme

Setting/Option Description Restrictions
Programme types Available programmes are described in a separate ta-
ble in this Chapter.
Change of programme type resets all options and set-
tings to their original values.
Temperature, 30-95°C Here you select the temperature to be displayed when you
have selected the pre-set programme (P1-P4).
It is always possible to adjust the temperature by pressing
buttons before the start.
C indicates the temperature of the incoming water.
Temperatures above 60°C are not stored permanently.
For some types of programme, only tempe-
ratures between 30 and 40°C can be
selected. See table.
Spin speed
400-1800 rev/min
No spin
No drain
Here you select the speed to be displayed when you have
selected the pre-set programme (P1-P4).
If No spin or No Drain is selected, no spin will be perfor-
med. No drain allows the water to remain in the machine
after washing.
It is always possible to adjust the setting by pressing but-
tons before the start.
For some types of programme, only speeds
between 400 and 800 revolutions/minute
can be selected. See Table.
No Spin and No Drain cannot be selected
for programme types Spin and Drain.
Delayed start
(0-24 hours) If you select a delayed start of five hours, for example, the
machine will start five hours after you pressed the start
button. The time remaining until the start is shown in the
display.
Changes to this option are not stored permanently.
Cannot be selected for programme
type Drain.
Super rinse With Super rinse On, extra rinses will be included in the
rinse programme. See Table.
Cannot be selected for programme types
Rinse, Spin and Drain.
E2 Eco/Efficiency With E2 Eco/Efficiency On, the main wash is extended by
about 22 minutes.

see Chapter 8, Before washing.
Can only be selected for the Heavy, Nor-
mal and White/Coloured programmes.
Pre-soak Pre-soak On means that the washing will be left to soak for
two hours before the washing programme starts.
Cannot be selected for programme types
Rinse, Spin and Drain.
Anti-crease Anti-crease On means that the machine will rotate the
drum for a few seconds every minute for two hours after
the programme is completed. You can end the program-
me during this period with the door opening button.
Cannot be used together with No spin
and No Drain.
Cannot be selected for programme ty-
pes Rinse, Spin and Drain
High water level High water level On means that an extra quantity of water
is used in the main wash and rinses.
Can be used for all programmes apart from
Wool and Hand. These always use a high
water level.
