STEREOONLY- Onlystationsbroadcastingthe
19,000Hzpilotsignalforstereocanbeheardinthis
position.Allmonophonicstationsandbackground
noisesaresuppressed.TheTUNINGmeterandSIGNAL
STRENGTHmeterfunctionwillindicatemonophonic
broadcastswhentuningbutnoprogramwillbeheard
fromtheloudspeakers.
MONO-InthispositionoftheMODEswitch,allbroad-
castswillbeheardmonophonically.Theautomatic
stereoswitchingisbypassed.TheSTEREOFUNCTION
indicatorwilllightwhena stationistransmitting
stereo,buttheprogramheardfromtheloudspeakers
willbemono.
STEREOAUTO- InthispositionoftheMODEswitch
bothmonoandstereobroadcastsareheard.Thetuner
automaticallyswitchesfrommonotostereomodeof
operation,dependingonthetypeofbroadcastbeing
