Operation
Connections
IMPORTANT NOTE: When installing any wireless device,
make sure that it is at least 5 METRES AWAY from the receiver.
ARM/DISARMARM/DISARM: Press the yellow button once for 1 second.
PANIC:PANIC: Activate by pressing & holding downholding down the yellow
button for at least 3 seconds. This sets off the siren. To
cancel “panic”, press the yellow button once.
The antenna wire provided is to
be screwed into the terminal
shown in the diagram above.
Keep the antenna vertical &
straight. Mount the receiver
inside the top of your panel box,
with the maximum possible
length of antenna extending from
the top.

To Add a Remote Control
1.1. Set dipswitch Number 8 onlyonly to the ON position.
The yellow Program LED will come on.
(If the Program LED flashes, check that, you don't
have more than one dipswitch set to on).
2.2. Press & HoldPress & Hold the button on your remote.
3.3. Press the AddAdd Button. The red Valid LED will start flashing.
4.4. Now release the button on the remote. The red valid light will turn off.off.
5.5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for any extra remotes that you wish to add. Maximum of 5 can
be used.
6.6. Return dip switch 8 to the OFF position. The yellow program light will turn off.
To Delete all Remote Controls
1.1. Set dipswitch Number 8 to ON. The yellow Program LED will come on.
(If the LED flashes, check that, you don't have more than one dipswitch set to on).
2.2. Press the Delete Button.
3.3. All remote controls will now have been erased from the memory of the receiver.
4.4. Return dip switch 8 to the OFF position. The yellow Program light will turn off.

detectors are
transmitting, as they
will interfere with your
programming
procedure.

To Add a Sensor
Wireless PIR, Reed Switch, Smoke Sensor, or Emergency Buttons
1. Select the Zone (1-5) that you wish to program a detector into. The yellow Program LED
will come on. (If the LED flashes, check that, you don't have more than one dipswitch
set to on).
Note:Note: Learning a new detector into a zone which already had a detector learnt into that
zone, will erase the original detector's code & replace it with the new detector's code.
Also, if that detector code has previously been learnt into another zone, the receiver will
automatically delete the code from the original zone and learn it into the new one.
2.2. Press the Add Button. The red Valid LED will start flashing.
3. Now trigger the sensor. The valid light will stop flashing once the detector has been
successfully programmed.
4. Return all dip switches back to the OFF position. The yellow program light will turn off.
To Delete a Sensor
1. Select the Zone (1-5) that you wish to delete a sensor from. The yellow
Program LED will come on. (If the LED flashes, check that, you don't have more than
one dipswitch set to on).
2. Press the Delete Button.
3. The sensor will now have been deleted from the receiver's memory. You can test this by
triggering the detector, and watching that the Valid LED no longer illuminates on your
receiver when the detector transmits, and also by watching that the Zone LED no longer
illuminates on your MCM Keypad.
4. Return all dip switches back to the OFF position. The yellow program light will turn off.

To Default the Receiver
(delete all sensors and Remotes)
You can default your ICON - WRX in case you make a mistake, or are unsure of
your receiver setup. "Defaulting" your receiver will cause allall detector & remotedetector & remote
codes to be erasedcodes to be erased.
To default your receiver, follow these steps:
1. Set all dipswitches on Bank 1 to ON.
2. Press & Hold the delete button for 1 second.
3. All LED's on the receiver will flash once together to confirm that the receiver
has been defaulted.
4. Return all dip switches back to the OFF position.
Other information
ØYour detectors will automatically transmit a low battery report to your
ICON - WRX receiver when the batteries are nearly flat.
ØThe low battery report code is also transmitted after the alarm code, every
time a detector is triggered.
ØThe ICON - WRX will give a Low battery output ( it will switch low for 1
second ) to indicate that the detector has a flat battery.
ØThe tamper output will switch low for 1 second whenever the front case is
removed and the tamper switch is operated on a Wireless PIR Detector or
Wireless Reed Switch.
