• Bevor Sie das Gerät an Ihre Stromversorgung anschließen, achten Sie darauf
dass die auf dem Typenschild des Netzteiles angegebene Netzspannung mit
der Ihres Stromnetzes übereinstimmt.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut Gebrauchs-
anweisung. Das Gerät ist nicht für den kommerziellen Gebrauch bestimmt.
• Benutzen Sie keine Zusatzteile, die nicht vom Hersteller empfohlen werden.
• Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit spitzen oder scharfen Gegenständen. Bei
Zweckentfremdung erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder)
mit eingeschränkten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten
oder mangelnder Erfahrung und/oder mangelndem Wissen benutzt zu
werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige
Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu
benutzen ist.

Bei elektrischen Geräten beachten Sie bitte besonders:
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen!
• Schließen Sie den Netzadapter nur bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät an.
• Greifen Sie nicht nach einem Gerät, das ins Wasser gefallen ist. Ziehen Sie
sofort den Netzadapter aus der Steckdose.
• Benutzen Sie kein elektrisches Gerät, während Sie baden oder duschen. Lagern
oder bewahren Sie kein elektrisches Gerät an Stellen auf, von denen aus es in
die Badewanne oder das Waschbecken fallen kann.
• Halten Sie das Netzkabel von heißen Oberflächen und offenen Flammen fern.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Zuleitungskabel beschädigt ist, das
Netzteil defekt ist, das Gerät nicht einwandfrei funktioniert, wenn es herunter-
oder ins Wasser gefallen war oder beschädigt worden ist.
• Tragen, ziehen oder drehen Sie das Gerät nie am Netzkabel und klemmen
Sie das Kabel nicht ein.
• Vermeiden Sie sehr starke Erwärmung des Gerätes durch zu lange Benutzung.
• Eine Anwendung sollte ununterbrochen nicht länger als 15 Minuten dauern.
Schalten Sie das Gerät danach mindestens für eine halbe Stunde aus und
lassen Sie es abkühlen.
• Ziehen Sie den Netzadapter nur mit trockenen Händen aus der Steckdose,
wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet und nicht mehr in Gebrauch ist und auch, wenn
Sie Geräteteile auswechseln oder reinigen.
Wichtige Empfehlungen - Ihrer Gesundheit zuliebe:
• Im Falle eines Diabetes oder anderer Erkrankungen sollten Sie vor der An-
wendung des Gerätes Rücksprache mit Ihrem Hausarzt halten.
• Schwangere sollten die notwendigen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen und ihre indivi-
duelle Belastbarkeit beachten, ggf. halten Sie Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt.
• Behandeln Sie keine Körperpartien, die Schwellungen, Verbrennungen, Ent-
zündungen, Hautausschläge, Wunden oder empfindliche Stellen aufweisen.

Damit Sie den gewünschten Erfolg erzielen und recht lange Freude an Ihrem
MEDISANA MPS haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die nachstehenden Hinweise
zum Gebrauch und zur Pflege sorgfältig zu lesen.
Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und keinerlei Beschädi-

Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf
zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungs-
material ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden
bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in Verbindung.

• Das Hand- und Fußpflegegerät MEDISANA MPS ist einfach in der Handha-
bung und ideal für die Pflege Ihrer Hände, Füße und Nägel. Es eignet sich
besonders für die Behandlung eingewachsener, dicker und verholzter Nägel
und zur Hornhaut-, Schwielen- und Hühneraugenrand-behandlung. Ebenso
geeignet ist es für die kosmetische Pflege der Hände, Finger- und Kunst-
nägel.
• Die Saphir-Ansatzteile sind extrem langlebig und so gut wie verschleißfrei.
• Wegen der geringen Verletzungsgefahr ist die MPS-Anwendung auch be-
sonders für Diabetiker/innen oder ältere Menschen geeignet.
• Weichen Sie die Haut an Händen und Füßen vor der Behandlung nicht ein.
• Das Gerät ist mit einer praktischen Steckspannvorrichtung ausgestattet.

Warum ist das MPS besonders für Diabetiker/innen geeignet?
Da die Geschwindigkeit stufenlos regulierbar ist und das Gerät bei zu starkem
Druck stoppt, ist die Anwendung selbst bei herabgesetztem Schmerzempfinden
oder verlangsamter Reaktionsfähigkeit sehr sicher. Ferner werden mit den
Saphiransatzteilen nur bereits abgestorbene Hautteile abgetragen.
Warum gibt es so viele Ansatzteile?
Jeder Aufsatz ist für eine spezielle Problemlösung an Händen und Füßen kon-
zipiert und deshalb besonders effektiv und sicher in der Anwendung.
Können mehrere Benutzer/innen ein MEDISANA MPS verwenden?
Ja. Allerdings sollte – um Ansteckung von Hautkrankheiten zu vermeiden –
jede/r die wichtigsten Ansatzteile selbst besitzen.
Diese sind einzeln bei der MEDISANA AG erhältlich.
1. Drehschalter

für das Ein-/Ausschalten des Gerätes
und für die Einstellung der Drehgeschwindigkeit
Auf der Oberseite des Gerätes befindet sich der Drehschalter

mit den
Symbolen +und 0. Durch Drehen des Schalters von 0in Richtung +wird
das Gerät eingeschaltet. Wenn Sie den Schalter auf 0drehen, wird das
Gerät ausgeschaltet. Drehen Sie den Dehschalter weiter in Richtung +,
erhöht sich die Drehgeschwindigkeit. Bei Drehen in Richtung 0verringert
sich die Drehgeschwindigkeit. Die Geschwindigkeitsveränderung erfolgt
langsam. Fangen Sie bei jeder Anwendung langsam an und steigern Sie
die stufenlos verstellbare Drehgeschwindigkeit individuell.
2. Rechts-/Links-Lauf

Auf der Oberseite befindet sich der Schalter für den Rechts-/Links-Lauf

.
Durch Verschieben des Schalters wird der Rechts- bzw. Links-Lauf ausge-
wählt. Die Umschaltung kann auch während des Laufens erfolgen.
3. Steckspannvorrichtung

Das Gerät ist mit einer praktischen Steckspannvorrichtung

ausgestattet.
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus. Um die Ansatzteile zu wechseln, ziehen Sie
zunächst einfach das nicht benötigte Ansatzteil ab. Stecken Sie das ge-
wünschte Teil vorsichtig in die Öffnung, bis es einrastet.

Abschließendes Eincremen und die regelmäßige Pflege mit dem MEDISANA MPS tragen zu gepfleg-
ten Händen und Füßen mit weicher Haut und festen Nägeln mit einer stabilen Struktur bei.

• Ziehen Sie bei einem elektrischen Gerät stets das Netzteil aus der Steckdose.
• Verwenden Sie nie aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder starke Bürsten.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen Tuch, das Sie mit einer milden
Seifenlauge leicht befeuchten. Tauchen Sie das Gerät zum Reinigen niemals
ins Wasser und achten Sie ggf. darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Gerät ein-
dringt. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es völlig trocken ist.
• Die Ansatzteile können aus hygienischen Gründen mit Hilfe einer Bürste (z.B.
alte Zahnbürste) gereinigt werden. Es empfiehlt sich weiterhin, die Schleif-
körper mit handelsüblichem Desinfektionsspray oder 90%igem Akohol zu
desinfizieren, um die Übertragung von Infektionen zu vermeiden. Die Stifte
der Ansatzteile sind fettfrei zu halten. Lassen Sie die Ansatzteile erst voll-
ständig trocknen, bevor Sie diese erneut auf das Gerät setzen.
• Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen, kühlen Platz.
• Legen Sie das Stromkabel sorgfältig zusammen, um einen Kabelbruch zu
vermeiden.
Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Jeder Verbraucher ist verpflichtet, alle elektrischen oder elektronischen
Geräte, egal, ob sie Schadstoffe enthalten oder nicht, bei einer Sammelstelle
seiner Stadt oder im Handel abzugeben, damit sie einer umweltschonenden
Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.

5 Garantie
Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die
Servicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den
Defekt an und legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:
1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für drei
Jahre gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch die Kauf-
quittung oder Rechnung nachzuweisen.
2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden innerhalb der

• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the
supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
• Only use this unit according to the intended purpose and as directed in the
instruction manual. The device is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not use any auxiliary parts that have not been recommended by the maker.
• Avoid contact with pointed or sharp objects. The warranty is null and void if it
is not used for the intended purpose.
• This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by persons with insufficient
experience and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person respon-
sible for their safety, or unless they have been instructed in the use of the
device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself in the event of any defects. Not only
does this render the warranty null and void but you can also run the risk of
serious hazards (fire, electric shock, injury). Only have repairs carried out by
authorised service points.
Please note the following in particular concerning electrical equipment:
• Only use the unit in enclosed spaces!
• Only connect the mains adapter when the unit is switched off.
• Do not reach for the unit if it has fallen into water. Disconnect the mains
adapter from the mains socket immediately.
• Do not use any electrical equipment while in the bath or shower. Do not store
or keep any electrical equipment in places where it could fall into the bathtub
or washbasin.
• Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces and naked flames.
• Never use the unit if the power cable has been damaged, the mains adapter
is defective, if the unit does not work perfectly, if it has fallen into water or has
been damaged.
• Never carry, pull or rotate the unit by the mains cable and never pinch the cable
between other objects.
• Do not allow the unit to become overheated due to excessively long use.
• Uninterrupted treatment should not last longer than 15 minutes. Then
switch off the unit for at least half an hour and allow it to cool down.
• Only pull the plug out of the socket when you have dry hands, when the unit
has been switched off and is not being used any longer, and also do this
when you have to replace or clean the heads.
Important recommendations concerning your health:

• The MEDISANA MPS manicure/pedicure unit is easy to use and perfect for

Why is the MPS especially suitable for use with diabetics?
Because the speed is continuously adjustable and the device stops if too much
pressure is used, the unit can also be used safely by persons who have reduced
sensitivity to pain or are unable to react quickly to pain. Also, the sapphire
accessory heads only remove dead skin.
Why are there so many heads?
Each head is designed to solve a particular problem for the hands and feet and
therefore especially effective and safe in use.
Can several people use one MEDISANA MPS?
Yes. But in any case it is best that each person has its own set of the accessory
heads to prevent the transmission of skin diseases.
They can be obtained separately from MEDISANA AG.

Turn the switch from 0to +to switch the device on. If you turn the switch
to 0, the device is switched off. If you continue turning the switch to +, the
speed increases. Turning towards 0reduces the speed. The change in speed
takes place slowly. Start slowly for each application and increase the con-
tinuously adjustable rotating speed to suit your individual requirements.
2. Clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation

4 Miscellaneous
• Always pull the mains adapter out of the socket in the case of an electrical
unit.
• Never use strong cleaning agents or stiff brushes.
• Clean the unit with a soft cloth which has been lightly moistened with a mild
soap. Never dip the unit into water for cleaning and ensure that no water
gets into the unit at any time. Only use the unit again, when it is fully dry.
• For hygiene reasons, all attachments may be cleaned with a brush (e.g. old
toothbrush). It is also advisable to disinfect the grinding surfaces with
commercially available spray disinfectant or 90% alcohol to prevent the
transmission of infections. The pins of the attachments should be kept free
from grease. First allow the heads to dry off completely before you use them
again on the unit.
• Store the device in a dry, cool place.
• Fold up the power cable carefully to avoid cable breaks.
This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste.
All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless
of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commer-
cial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally
acceptable manner.

5 Warranty

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under
the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your
receipt and state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of
purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be
proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge
within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the
unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-
observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to
the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear (e.g. attach-
ments) .
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are
excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
