Introduction
This manual provides important information for the safe use and maintenance of the
MEDSOURCE EMERGENCY BED. The descriptions and pictures in this manual are
not binding. MedSource USA, Inc reserves the right to modify any of the
information in the manual when changing and/or improving product quality.
Scope of Application
The Medsource Emergency Bed is intended for use in hospitals and emergency
centers. It is designed for the transport of sick and injured patients.
Features
1. This product is made of steel and plastic material. These materials are highly
durable, anti-corrosive and easy to disinfect.
2. The Medsource Emergency Bed can be adjusted by an internal gas spring
mechanism which provides superior patient comfort during adjustment.
3. The Medsource Emergency Bed can change its overall height by an easy-to-see and
easy-to-use foot adjustment pedal system.

User Instruction
1, Backrest Angle Adjustment:
Pull red backrest angle adjustment handle (Figure 1). Lift to the appropriate angle
then release. To return backrest angle to its original position, pull the red angle
adjusting handle, press until straight and release.

2. Bed Surface Incline Angle Adjustment:
Pull the bed tilt angle adjustment handle (Figure 1) in order to change the incline.
Release handle to finish adjustment.

3. Wheel locking mechanism:
With your foot, press down on the bed fixation locking bar. (Figure 1).
To unlock: lift the locking bar. (Figure 2)

4. Patient Guard Rail System:
The Medsource Emergency Bed has a built in rail system. The rails (running the
length of the bed) can be secured in an upright position. This position is secured by
pressing down on the rail after it has been raised to its full vertical position. To
lower the rail, lift up and extend the rail outward to its final down position.
5. Bed Height Adjustment:
With your foot press the bed height adjustment pedal. To elevate, pump the pedal
continuously until the bed reaches its full upright position. (Figure 1). When lowering
the bed height, hook the adjustment pedal by foot and lower slowly. Release the pedal
when the desired height has been obtained.

Notice to the Operator
1. The operator should practice the use of the emergency bed and have first aid skills
prior to operation of the unit. During use, the operator must comply with all
instructions. Improper use will nullify and void all warranties and hold harmless the
manufacture and distributor of any injuries or damages that may occur.
2. Warning: Guard rails must be locked in the full vertical position when transporting
patients.
3. Warning: Do not overload beyond recommended capacity.
4. Warning: Improper use of this bed will result in voided warranty and liability to
the manufacturer and distributor.
5. Important: Check all screws and metal joints regularly.
Maintenance
1. Disinfect the bed after regular use.
2. Check all components regularly for improper fitting.
Storage and Transport
Store in a dry cool environment in order to avoid corrosion.
Transport in an upright position. Secure all locking mechanism before loading and
transporting.
