INSTALLATION
Preparing for Installation
1. Turn OFF all power to the vending machine.
2. To ensure that the CF7906 performance is not degraded, check that the vending machine is upright
and vertical, both from the front and side.
3. Before mounting the CF7906 in the vending machine, check that the operating voltage of the vending
machine matches the voltage stated on the CF7906 label.
Installing the CF7906 in the vending machine
The CF7906 is mounted onto the vending machine by hanging it onto three studs located on the vending
machine. You will need to open the discriminator assembly and line up the mounting keyholes of the
CF7906 with the vending machine studs.
4. Press the yellow button, underneath the Reject Lever, on the top of the CF7906, and tilt the
discriminator assembly forward. Once open, the three mounting keyholes will be visible.
5. To securely fix the CF7906 in place, it may be necessary to partly unscrew the three machine
studs/screws.
6. Line up the three mounting keyholes of the CF7906 with the studs/screws and hang it in place
ensuring that the CF7906 is flat and vertical against the machine back plate. Tighten all three
studs/screws as needed and return the discriminator back to its normal position.

Alignment Checks
Once the CF7906 has been securely fitted to the vending machine, check reject lever operation and coin
chute alignment. Do this without any power applied to the machine.
Cable Connection
The CF7906 may be fitted with more than one cable. These cables may be for communications, to
power an external display or to extract audit data.
Once all cables are connected and before closing the machine door, Tie wrap all cables away neatly,
ensuring that none are trapped in the reject lever mechanism or the vending machine door.
You can now switch ON the power to the vending machine.
Check there is a 2mm to 4mm gap between the vending
machines
’ reject lever mechanism and the CF7906
reject
lever.
Press the machine
reject lever a couple of times and
ensure the lid of the discriminator opens and closes
smoothly
.
Check the vending machine

LED’s
The LED’s provide a visual indication of the operating state of the CF7906. An LED can either be ON,
OFF or FLASHING. These light flash codes can indicate when the CF7906 is operating normally, is in
set-up menu or has a fault. (Refer to the LED light code section for more information).
Blue Buttons
The blue buttons (marked A to F) have two functions.
When the CF7906 is in idle mode, pressing a blue button by itself will dispense a coin from that tube.
When you press and hold the blue button for approx. 3 seconds, this activates auto dispense (latch
dispensing of coins) until the tube is empty of coins.
If however, the “D” and “F” buttons are pressed at the same time, the blue buttons are then used to
navigate through the CF7906 Basic and Setup menus.

red, amber, & green, and the Acoustic Module will check the level of the coins in the tubes.
On the CF7906, the LCD display briefly shows its software revision and if there are no coins in the tube
cassette, the display will show a “Low Tubes” message. (refer to the floating coin tubes section).
The LCD display will show the coin totals (in currency value) stored in the tubes.

modules. These types of faults can be fixed at the machine and can be, for example, caused by; a coin
jam; dirt built up; or if the cassette has been removed. The CF7906 will also indicate the module
affected on its’ display.
