Activating/deactivating Changingthe speed

up the last

Active DistanceAssist DISTRONICmaintains a
constant speed which has been stored. The
lowest speed that can be set is 20 mph
(30 km/h).
You can change thesetspeed:
WhenActiveDistance PilotDISTRONIC is
activated, oneor twosegments in the set speed
rangelight up in the speedometer.
Using thecontroller on the DISTRONIClever, you
can change thespecified minimumdistanceto
the vehicleinfront.The specified minimum
distance depends on thecurrently driven speed.
X1mph (1 km/h) step: Brieflypressthe lever
up or down.
X5mph (10km/h) step: Pressthelever up or
downpast thepressurepoint.

Adjusting climate control
You can adjust climatecontrol using thebuttons
on control panel 1.
If youchange anysettings, thelower edge of
display 2brieflyshows the currentsettingsof
climate control.
Climate control controlpanel General notes
Climate control regulates thetemperatureand
thehumidity in the vehicleinterior andfilters
undesirablesubstances outof theair.
Climate control is only operational when the
engine is running.Optimum operation is only
achieved when the side windowsand the roof are
closed.
To prevent thewindows from fogging up,please
observe the followinginformation:

Starting adialog
The Voice ControlSystem allows you to
comfortably operatethe majority of the COMAND
system's functions.
VoiceControlSystemhelp functions
•Generalinformation:
Say the "Help Voice Control System" command.
•Help forthecurrent function:
Saythe "Help" command.
•Help fora specific system:
Say thehelp command for the desired system,
e.g. "Helptelephone".
If youpress the óbutton, the possible
commands are shown in a help window.You can
switchoffthedisplay of this help window in
COMAND.
Examples
Navigation commands
•"Enter destination"
A dialog forentering adestination in the
navigation system will be started. Thereafter,
say thedestinationaddress.
•"Nearestgas station"
Many more categories forpoints of interestare
available, e.g. restaurant or tourist attraction.
•"Navigate to John Doe"
Start route guidance to acontact from your
address book.
Telephone commands
•"Call John Doe"
The telephone number of astored contact is
dialed.
•"New message"
Adialog for entering atext message (SMS) will
be started.
Audio commands
•"Station Z100"
If you are listeningtotheradio, youcan say the
nameofa station to which youwouldlike to
listen.
•"Searchfor music"
Adialog in whichyou can search throughyour
music files will be started.
XTo say a command: Pressthe óbutton
and say a commandafter the audiblesignal.

You can operate the menusofthe COMAND

Adding a predefined favorite
Adding yourown favorite
