Introduction
Thank you for choosing Mercury Digital Pocket Scales. This
product is designed to offer high precision weight reading in a
compact easy to carry casing. Please read this manual to gain
the best results from your product and avoid damage through
misuse.
Caution:
•Do not overload the unit. The maximum load is 300g.
Excess load may cause permanent damage and false
readings.
•Avoid storing the unit in extreme temperatures. The
operating temperature of this unit is between 10 and
30oC.
•Avoid storing the unit in dusty or moist environments.
•Clean the unit with a cloth and mild detergent only.
•Always operate the unit on a flat stable surface.
Operation
1. Switch on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button.
2. Wait until the display reads “0.0”before placing any
item to be weighed on the plate.
3. Press the UNITS button to change the units between:
g –gram
tl –tael
oz –ounce
Ct –carat
Gn –grain
4. Press LIGHT to illuminate the display on or off.

Tare Weight:
1. Switch on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button.
2. Wait until the display reads “0.0”before placing the
chosen container onto the plate.
3. Press the TARE button so the display shows “0.0”again.
4. Now the item can be placed and weighed.
Count
1. Switch on the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button.
2. Wait until the display reads “0.0”.
3. Choose a sample quantity of 25, 50, 75 or 100 and place
them onto the scale plate.
4. Press and hold the PCS button for 2 seconds and the
sample quantity will be displayed.
5. Press the UNITS button to scroll though the sample
quantity until the desired value is displayed.
6. Press the PCS button to confirm the correct sample
quantity.
7. The sample can now be removed ready for weight
counting.
8. Weight and count can be displayed by pressing UNIT and
PCS buttons respectively.

Calibration
It is advised to perform calibration on a regular basis to ensure
tolerances are kept to a minimum. You will need a
To perform calibration, please follow these steps:
1. Reset the unit by pressing ON/OFF until the display reads
“0.0”.
2. Press and hold the UNITS button until “CAL”is displayed.
3. Press UNITS button again until “CAL”is displayed.
4. Place weight of 300g on the scale until “PASS”is
displayed.
5. Remove the weight and restart the scale.
6. Scale is now calibrated and ready for use.
