Initial access
When starting up U.motion Client Touch 7 for the first time, the user in-
terface U.motion Access is called up. U.motion Access is an app that
displays the important functions in superior fields, enabling quick ac-
cess to them.
The start screen and access to the settings
The start screen gives you basic operating advice:
• In the settings you can adapt various parameters, such as the IP ad-
dress, the design or the language.
• You can open the settings by clicking on the logo in the upper task-
bar. The access password is “0000”.
• The start screen will continue to be displayed until the access pass-
word has been changed.
Pre-installed apps
In addition to U.motion Access and the standard Android and Google
Play Store apps, the apps U.motion Control and U.motion Communi-
cation are installed on the device.
U.motion Control
You can use the U.motion Control app to control the KNX installation
of your building.
U.motion Communication
The U.motion Communication app enables you to communicate with
other U.motion touch panels and with door stations.

Information on Google Play
|On delivery, the Google Play Store is installed and can be used
to obtain various apps. You will find advice on the Google Play
Store on the Google Internet site.
• The Google Play Store requires an active Internet connection.
Without an Internet connection the Google Play Store is either
hidden or a warning message appears.
• The Google Play Store can only be operated in conjunction
with a valid Google user account. You can create a user ac-
count in the Google Play Store.
Further advice on the Google Play Store:
• If the time and date settings are incorrect, the Google Play Store
cannot connect to the device. Correct the time and date in the set-
tings.
• If you cannot download any apps, delete the Google Play Store
cache via the settings.
• You may only be able to install certain apps. The Google Play Store
filters and displays apps according to specific criteria (e.g. display
size, position sensor, GPS, etc.). If the device is missing a criterion,
the app will not be displayed in the Google Play Store. In this case,
you can contact the app producer to see if they can provide an
adapted version.
Establishing delivery mode
The enclosed micro SD card can be used to reset the U.motion Client
Touch 7 to delivery mode.
1Disconnect the device from the power supply.
2Remove the design element.
3Insert the enclosed micro SD card in the slot.
4Reconnect the device to the power supply.
– After approx. 10 seconds the following message will appear:

5Press the Home button A.
– The recovery procedure is started.
After the recovery procedure, the U.motion Client Touch 7 switches off
automatically.
6Disconnect the device from the power supply.
7Remove the micro SD card.
8Restart the device.
– The image is loaded from the internal memory.
Connections
Rear side (see image 1on cover)
Power supply connection, DC 9-36 V, alternative to PoE
(see LAN)
2x USB OTG: For connection of USB input devices and
USB mass storage devices.
Line out: For forwarding the audio signal, e.g. to hi-fi sys-
tems. The internal audio signal is deactivated.
LAN: Power supply provided by PoE support. PoE com-
patible with Cat 5e/Cat 6 UTP.
