Preparation Software version

2 Preparation
2.1 Software version
Check your installed software version
Software version 3.35.X is already installed on the new
"BE-P3" control panel. That is why you should check
the installed software version on the defective control
panel before replacing (if possible). Because under
some circumstances it is necessary to update the
software after the replacement. This is due to the new
user interface from software version X.36.0.
Whether a software update is required after the
exchange also depends on whether or not other
control panels are located within the system. Because
for faultless communication between the control
panels, the same software version must be installed on
all units. The following table shows which software
update is required after the replacement.
Version 1.XX.X is required for the "BE-P1" control
panel software, 2.XX.X for "BE-P2" , and 3.XX.X
for "BE-P3".
As a precaution, you can also download all
software versions for the user interface up to
X.35.X (1.35.X, 2.35.X and 3.35.X) and the versions
from X.36.0 (e.g.: 2.39.0 and 3.39.0).
You can find information about downloading the
software in chapter 4.2.1 "Download software update".
You can find the description for the software update in
chapter 4.2.2 "Up to software version X.35.X"and
4.2.3 "Software version X.36.0 and later".

Read out node number Preparation
2.2 Read out node number
Note down the node number of the defective
control panel
Reading the set node number is only required if
more than one control panel (BE-P) is present in
the system.
If several control panels are in the system, check the
set node number before removing the defective control
panel (if possible). Note it down so that the same node
number can be set after replacing. By default, the
boiler control panel always has the node number "0".
The following describes how the node numbers are
displayed on the different control panels.
Control panel "BE-P1" has a node switch on the
bottom.
Fig. 2-1: Node switch for "BE-P1"
From control panel "BE-P2", the node number is
only displayed in the ETAtouch control system.
Depending on the software version installed (up to
X.35.X or from X.36.0), the set node numbers are
displayed differently.
•Up to software version X.35.X
On the control panel, press the button and then
the [Software Version] button. The node number
set is displayed in the overview.
Fig. 2-2: Overview (up to X.35.X)
•Software version X.36.0 and later
Onthecontrolpanel, open the system settings
and press the [Version overview] button. The
node number set is displayed in the overview.

2.3 meinETA remote control
Delete "meinETA" registration
If there is a registration for "meinETA" on the defective
control panel, this must be deleted before the
exchange (if possible). Note down the access details
for"meinETA" in order to register the new control panel
after the exchange. See chapter 4.3 "meinETA remote
control".

3 Installation
Assembly and installation only by qualified
specialist personnel
The assembly and installation may be performed
by specialist personnel with the corresponding
qualifications only.
DANGER!
Electric shock
There are live parts on the circuit boards. If
touched, they can cause injury and
property damage.
Before beginning any work, isolate the system
completely from all power sources, ensure that it
cannot be switched back on, and verify that it is
safely isolated from supply.
