3 Magnet use
Locate the swimmer symbol situated in the activation zone of the device:
SensorPremium: on the top of the lid
Sensor Solar and SensorElite: At the back side of the base
During the installation steps and for a daily use, you will have to apply the magnet on that symbol.
The magnet must absolutely be placed out of reach of the children.
•Manual switch from inactive monitoring to active monitoring
•Apply the magnet on the swimmer
You obtain a high long beep and the led stops flashing.
•Manual switch from active monitoring to inactive monitoring
•Apply the magnet on the swimmer
You obtain a 10 high beeps sequence and the led flashes slowly.
•Switch to the stop mode (Get the two provided magnets)
•Apply one of the magnets on the red stop. When obtaining a continuous luminous signal, keep the first
magnet in position and apply the second magnet on the swimmer.
•When obtaining the sound signal (10 high beeps), remove the two magnets. A fast luminous flashing
signal indicates the complete stop of the device.
•
•Stop mode ending
•Apply the magnet on the swimmer
You obtain a 10 short beeps sequence, the device operates in the inactive monitoring mode. To operate

4 Installation, tests and adjustments
4.1 Position choice
•Depending on the location of the house from the swimming-pool, it might be necessary to displace the
security signals, warning and failure signals so that they can be clearly audible from the house. This must be
checked during the installation of the unit.
•Before fixing and to allow adjustments, the detection unit must be placed on the curb stone and necessarily
positioned in the middle of the longest length of your pool. An installation on a flat surface is not essential.
EXAMPLES of placement of the central unit :
: Indicative location of your central unit
Warning: The location of the central unit can influence the time of detection of a fall
•For large swimming-pools models, it might be necesary to instal several detection central (Ask your retailer
for advice)
•Take care that the detection central is not placed more than one meter far from the filtration system or a water
cascade.
•Make sure that the access to the activation zone (magnet application zone) is easy and practical.
•The probe must be 15 to 20 cm submerged. (ideally 18 cm) to ensure an optimal operation. If necessary, cut
the probe with care to the adviced length with a hacksaw.
Warning : Regularly check the water level and complete it if necessary to keep a submersion depth between 15
and 20 cm.

Your device is not yet operational, after the installation of the battery you have 30 minutes to carry out
the tests and adjustments specified hereafter. During these 30 minutes the siren is in low power mode (test
mode).
IMPORTANT
•When you purchase the device, the central unit is preset for a rectangular pool, 4X8 meters long and 1,40
meters deep (most common standard pools – French standard NF P 90-307)
•Some 4X8 meters swimming-pools do not correspond precisely to these recommendations. In order to
optimize the device performances to your pool, it is possible to benefit from adjustments possibilities of the
device (advanced tests).
•Nevertheless, before any intervention on the preset adjustments, it is advised to carry out the bases tests.
•In order to obtain an optimal adjustment of your device, we advice you to carry out all these tests, in a
completely calm pool, with the lid in position (You do not have to screw it, except if there is some wind)
•Before any test, make sure your central unit is in « active monitoring » mode (no flashing of the led). If it is
not the case, apply the magnet on the swimmer until you obtain a long beep and the led stops flashing.
•WARNING: If you hear short beeps after the long beep and the led is still flashing, the device automatically
switches to « inactive monitoring » mode, the pool is too agitated to allow a correct analysis. It is advised to
start again the operation once the pool is calm.
•For the following tests, when the siren sets off: apply the magnet on the swimmer until the alarm stops.
4.2.2 Basic tests
• Test 1 : Filtration
•Leave your central unit on for 10 minutes while the filtration is operating.
•If the device automatically switches to « inactive monitoring » mode (10 short beeps sequence + flashing
led), the preset adjustment is not suitable for your pool, please, go directly to the advanced tests (paragraph
4.2.3)
•
• Test 2 : Robot
•Leave your central unit on while the robot is operating in the pool.
•If the device automatically switches to inactive monitoring mode (10 short beeps sequence + flashing led) ,
the preset adjustment is not suitable for your pool, please, go directly to the advanced tests (paragraph
4.2.3)
•WARNING: Some cleaning robots which climb to the water line (Robots which go in and out of the water
and cause an event which might be considered like the fall of a child in the pool) are incompatible with
immersion detection systems.
• Test 3 : Fall
•Simulate the fall of a body in the pool by making a child or a 6-8 litres water jerry can or the dummy from
your retailer from the curb stone. The alarm must set off within 12 seconds maximum after the fall.
• Fall detected within 12 seconds : stop the alarm
• Fall not detected or detected in more than 12 seconds : go to the advanced tests (paragraph 4.2.3)
If you passed the whole basic tests successfully, go directly to paragraph 4.2.4

4.2.3 Advanced tests
Tests are to be carried out only if the basic tests were not carried out successfully.
•These tests aim at obtaining an optimal configuration (operating) of the device for your pool. You will need
to modify the preset adjustment of your device.
•In order to make that adjustment, SensorPremium, SensorSolar and SensorElite are equipped with a
dipswitch setting. For a given size of pool, a preset combination of the switch position is fitted (ON or OFF)

• Test 1 : Filtration
•Leave your central unit on for 10 minutes while the filtration is operating.
•If the device automatically switches to « inactive monitoring » mode (short beeps sequence + flashing led),
go to the preceding adjustment (example: switch from D to C) and start again this test.
• Test 2 : Robot
•Leave your central unit on while the robot is operating in the pool.
•If the device automatically switches to inactive monitoring mode (short beeps sequence + flashing led) , go
to the preceding adjustment (example: switch from D to C) and start again this test.
•WARNING: Some cleaning robots which climb to the water line (Robots which go in and out of the water
and cause an event which might be considered like the fall of a child in the pool) are incompatible with
immersion detection systems.

• Fall detected within 12 seconds : stop the alarm
• Fall not detected or detected in more than 12 seconds: go to the following adjustment (Example:
switch from D to E) and start again from the first test.
If you passed the whole tests successfully, go to paragraph 4.2.4
4.2.4 Exit from test mode
•When the whole tests have been passed successfully, it is necessary to wait at least for 30 minutes, without
any use of the device to leave quit the test mode. This is notified by a specific 5 seconds low power signal.
•If the device leaves quits the test mode before the end of the tests, withdraw the battery and wait for a few
minutes before connecting it again to restart the test mode.
Your detection unit is now in active mode, the led is off
• It is required to carry out complementary tests; the siren will set off loudly (100 dBA minimum) if
ever a fall happens. Check you can hear it from the house. If you can not hear it, install the remote
siren in the house (Sensor domo delivered with SensorSolar and SensorElite). Stop the alarm by
applying the magnet on the swimmer, the red led will flash.
• Wait for the long beep and for the led to switch off before testing another fall. It may sometimes be
necessary to wait for a few minutes.
If, in spite of that, you do not manage to adjust the device to your pool, do not hesitate to contact your retailer

5 Daily use
5.1 Normal use
•Switch to inactive monitoring mode: Apply the magnet on the swimmer symbol until you obtain 10 short
beeps.
In inactive monitoring mode, the luminous signal is flashing.
We point out that the device automatically switches to the active monitoring mode 1 min 30 seconds after the
pool is calm. (Be patient, it might take 10 minutes, more or less).
During that period, human monitoring must take over.
5.2 Complete stop
•Complete stop: Apply one of the magnets and maintain it on the red stop on the sticker. When obtaining a
continuous luminous signal, apply the other magnet on the swimmer symbol. A sequence of high beeps and a
luminous signal flashing fast indicates the deactivation of the device.
•To leave the complete stop mode: Apply the magnet on the swimmer symbol. You switch then to the
inactive monitoring mode.
WARNING for winter usage (only in case of temperatures under 0°C)
• Your alarm system is inoperative if the water in the probe is frozen.

5.5 Additional information
It is essential that appropriate surveillance is carried out by parents
SAFETY INFORMATION
It is imperative to react when the failure signal sounds. The user who switches the system off must be conscious that human monitoring must
take over. The greatest vigilance of a parent or of a responsible adult is necessary between the end of the swim and the reactivation of the
alarm system. In no case can your retailer or the manufacturer of this alarm system be held responsible for the fall or of the drowning of a
child, a dependent person, any adult or animal. The installation of the alarm system must in no case diminish your vigilance or replace an
active supervision of the swimming pool and its accesses.
This alarm system, as any other device or safety equipment, is a complementary tool useful in case of temporary lack of supervision.
SAFETY ADVICE
The safety of your children depends on you!
The maximum risk is when the children are under the age of 5 years.
Accidents do not only happen to others! Be prepared!
Monitoring and action
•The supervision of children must be constant and close
•Choose just one adult to be responsible for security.
•Be even more vigilant when there are several other users of the swimming pool.
•Teach children how to swim as soon as possible.
•Wet the nape of the neck, the arms and legs before entering the water.
•Become knowledgeable about\ First Aid, especially specific to children.
•Forbid diving and jumping in the presence of young children.
•Forbid running and horseplay around the pool
•Do not allow access to the pool without life jacket to a child who can’t swim or with no one to
accompany him in the water.
•Do not leave toys around or in the non monitored swimming pool.
•Keep the water permanently clean and clear.
•Store the water treatment products out of the reach of children.
•To prevent children younger than 5 years old having access to the pool when the failure signal sounds,

The speed of intervention after the alarm has sounded is crucial. Don’t ever leave the pool if a child plays
nearby. It’s the combination of a passive monitoring (alarm system) and an active monitoring (by the parents or
responsible adults) that insure a high security level. The zero risk doesn’t exist. Installing this alarm system must
not decrease your vigilance or replace active and visual monitoring of the swimming pool.
