1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Mi DC UPS 24V 350W is a 24V DC uninterruptable backup po er supply for DC po ered
systems ith a total po er budget of 350 Watts @ 24Vdc, 6 Amps max loa current and 6
Amps max charge current to batteries are available.
When 220VAC po er is supplied the unit runs the 24V output from the internal po er supply hile
charging the batteries in isolation from the output therefore extending battery life ithout po er
flo ing in and out the battery continiously. Fast s itch over to battery po er in case of AC po er
failure guarantee equipment to stay po ered until the AC po er is restored or if the user defined
lo shutdo n voltage is reached here the UPS ill s itch off at a user defined value to protect
the batteries from a deep level discharge. The UPS ill restart automatically hen AC po er is
restored.

Input: 220VAC @ 3.4 Amp ith maximum load and maximum charge rate on DC side.
Main Output: 24VDC @ 6Amps maximum = 100% load
Charger: User programmable 6 Amp charger – 3 stage charger if the UPS is programmed for
Lead acid (or similar ( AGM , GEL)
Constant current charger algorithm if Lithium battery selected.
Local LCD display indicating the AC on/off status , Battery voltage, battery charge current, Load
current and load percentage as ell as the output voltage at the load out terminal.
Fused main output via a 10 Amp panel mount Blade ATO fuse.
Large terminals for battery and load connections.
LC display Layout :
Top left :AC: on if AC is present / AC: off hen AC failed
Top right : Display ill alter bet een LO: (load out percentage) and LA: (load amps)
LO: 50% hen load is 3.0 Amp eg LO: 100% hen load is 6 Amp) LO: indicates the load
percentage of the output used.
LA: 3.00A indicates that the load is using 3.00 Amps
Botom left: Display ill alter bet een B:xx.xV (Battery voltage) and B:xx.xA (charging amps)
(B:26.3V battery voltage) and B:5.00A (battery charge current)
Bottom right: eg. VO: 25.6V indicates the voltage level present on the output terminal of the UPS.

3. Front panel buttons an programming:
Force On: Whenever the UPS needs to be started at a site ith batteries connected but no mains
220vac present , the force on button can be pressed to s itch the ups to ON mode ithout AC
being present.
Menu: Selects the setup menu
UP: Adjust values up
DOWN: Adjust values do n
ENTER: Save the adjusted value to memory
SETUP MENU:
Press the menu button to enter the setup menu.
Select bet een Aci or Lithium according to the type of battery connected to the system using
the up and do n button and press enter to select.
When Aci have been selecte : ( for lea aci , gel or agm battery)
The charger ill follo a 3 stage charge algorithm
Set the Bulk voltage for the battery pack using up and do n buttons , usually around 28.7Vdc and
enter to save the value.
Set the Absorption voltage level using the up and do n buttons , usually around 28.2Vdc and
enter to save the value.
Set the Float voltage level using the up and do n buttons , usually around 27.4Vdc and enter to
save the value.
Set the Battery low voltage cuttof level using the up and do n button and enter to select the
value, this is the voltage level in case of the batteries running lo here the UPS ill s itch off.
Set the Maximum charge current allo ed to the battery pack using the up and do n buttons and
enter to select the value. Charge current maximum setting = 6 Amps.

When Lithium have been selecte :
The Charger ill follo a constant current charge for the Lithium battery up to the maximum
charge voltage as specified by the user.
Set the Max battery charge voltage using the up and do n buttons and enter to save the value,
this value ill be the end charge voltage of the Lithium battery.
Set the Battery low voltage cuttof level using the up and do n button and enter to select the
value, this is the voltage level in case of the batteries running lo here the UPS ill s itch off.
Set the Maximum charge current allo ed to the battery pack using the up and do n buttons and
enter to select the value. Charge current maximum setting = 6 Amps.
To clear all programming memory the user ill press the enter button on the front panel, keep the
button pressed and then connect the 220Vac to the system , release the enter button as soon as
the display indicates “ memory cleared ”
4. Wiring
2 x 12V LEAD ACID OR SIMILAR 24V LITHIUM
OR 2 x LITHIUM
When 2 x Series connected 12V batteries is used , Lithium or lead acid or similar , it ill be
beneficial to use a Battery balancer to keep the batteries balanced to extend battery life.
Series connected batteries ill charge unbalanced due to internal battery resistance.

5.Optional SNMP Ethernet interface an 5 way relay mo ule
Ethernet mo ule:
An optional Ethernet interface module ith connection cable to the UPS is available for the DC
UPS ith SNMP support over Ethernet and embedded eb pages. The unit can then be
monitored ith Mi SNMP monitor or any other SNMP managing soft are.

Default IP address: 192.168.1.2 and username and pass ord = admin / admin
To reset the Ethernet to factory default – this can be done on the fly ithout interruptions– press
the reset button next to the LAN port and hold for around 5 seconds , the unit ill reset and the
default IP 192.168.1.2. ill be displayed on the LCD of the UPS.

5 Way Relay mo ule:
The optional 5 ay relay module can also be connected to the Ethernet module to give the user
access to 5 relays to control , Relay 1 to 3 is timed relays that ill toggle if activated to reset
equipment remotely and Relay 4 and 5 is relays here the state can be controlled to on or off.
A normally closed , normally open and common contact is available on each relay, the relay
contacts is potential free dry relay contacts
