SRM100 Soil pH and Resistivity Meter
Quick Reference Guide
Precautions
To ensure accurate and repeatable soil pH and soil resistivity measurements, ensure that the probe is
properly maintained. Clean the probe sensor of any accumulated soils, corrosion, and scale build-up.
Wipe the sensor array with a clean cloth to remove any accumulated and/or attached soils from
the sensor array before beginning measurements as well as before returning the probe to its
protective case.
Should a build-up of corrosion or scale occur, first wipe the sensor array with a clean cloth to
remove any loose material. Then use a non-metallic scouring pad, such as a “Scotch-Brite®”
scouring pad, to remove any remaining materials. With medium to light hand pressure, move the
scour pad up and down the length of the sensor array until all corrosion and scale is removed.
Finally, wipe the sensor array again with a clean cloth.
