Do not use hot water.
Use of hot water that is 40°C or higher can cause deformation or malfunction of the product.
Never put aroma oil or other fragrances into the water tank.
Do not use the product by placing it directly onto a carpet or other
object with soft fibers.
Do not wipe with benzine or thinner.
When unplugging the power cord, always unplug by grasping the
power plug, not by pulling on the power cord.
Throw away the water when not using the product.
Replace the water in the water tank and water tub with new clean
water everyday. Perform cleaning regularly to ensure that the inside
of product is always clean.
Do not place cell phones, computers, or other electronic devices near
the humidifier.
Because the area around the humidifier can become very humid while the humidifier is operating,
do not place cell phones, computers or other electronic devices that are sensitive to humidity near
the humidifier.
Be careful that the product does not freeze.
If the product is placed in a location subject to freezing temperatures, throw away the water
inside.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

CAUTION
Never put aroma oil or other fragrances into the water tank.•
This could damage the hybrid humidifier or cause malfunction.
Before moving the hybrid humidifier, remove the water tank, and throw away the•
water inside.
Be sure that the water passage cover is always attached when using.•
Use without attaching the cover could result in a water spill. Do not remove the cover unless
cleaning the hybrid humidifier.
* Overflow sensor
An overflow occurs when the water level is excessively high.
The overflow sensor is not normally activated, but if an overflow occurs, heater operation is
stopped for preventing water from overflowing. If water has collected in the overflow pool,
drain it in the drainage direction.
When the water level in the water passage returns to normal, restart heater operation.

Correct Use of the Hybrid Humidifier
Preparation Before Use
Place the hybrid humidifier on the aroma base.1.
Insert the braces on the aroma base all the way into the screw holes on the bottom
of the hybrid humidifier.

Place the hybrid humidifier and aroma base on a flat surface.2.
Place on a flat, stable surface.
Place the humidifier where it will be used and make sure it is not tilted.
Fill with water.3.
Turn the mist cone at the top of the hybrid humidifier to remove it.1
Take out the water tank from the hybrid humidifier, remove the water tank cap, and fill with2
clean water at room temperature.
Firmly tighten the water tank cap, wipe up any spilled water, and check that no water is3
leaking.
CAUTION
Use clean water only.•
If refilling the water after operation is finished, water inside the mist cone will spill•
when removing the cone. Therefore, prepare towels beforehand so that the hybrid
humidifier and floor do not get wet.
Load the water tank into the hybrid humidifier so that it fits securely.4.
Load the water tank into the hybrid humidifier, and firmly cover the mist cone onto the•
hybrid humidifier.
WARNING
If you are going outside or will be away from the hybrid humidifier for an extended
period of time, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Otherwise, you could forget to turn it off or a fire could result.
Plug the power cord into the outlet.5.

Starting and Stopping Operation
CAUTION
When going to bed during the winter, if the heater is turned off and the room
temperature drops below 15°C, continued misting operation can result in
condensation.
Because this can cause the hybrid humidifier body and the floor to become wet, if using in
environments where the room temperature is expected to drop below 15°C or the humidity is
expected to be above 60% when going to bed, either set misting operation to L (Low) or SL
(Min.), or stop misting operation.

Starting operation1.
When the Power button is pressed, the Power/Water indicator (P/E) is lit green, and
misting operation starts after about two minutes.
CAUTION
Even if the Power button is pressed immediately after the Power/Water indicator (P/E)
turns off, the hybrid humidifier does not produce mist for about two minutes. This
is because the water temperature is heated to at least 60°C for sterilization before
starting the misting operation.
Stopping operation2.
Press the Power button again to stop operation.
After misting operation is stopped, the fan runs for about one minute before the*
hybrid humidifier comes to a complete stop.
Keep the hybrid humidifier an appropriate distance from walls and
surrounding objects
Pay attention to the following points when using the hybrid humidifier.
At least 100 cm above

Use the hybrid humidifier in a location that is at least 50 cm away from walls, bedding,•
curtains, furniture, and other objects.

Do not place on carpets or other materials with a thick pile. These could block the vent hole•
and result in a breakdown of the device or leak to the surrounding area.
Mist Setting/Timer Setting
Press the Mist Setting button to set the mist level and the Timer Setting
button to enable timer settings.
Setting the mist level1.
To set the mist level, press the Mist Setting button. Each time the button is pressed,
the setting cycles from L (Low) →SL (Min.) →H (High). The indicator is lit blue when
set to H (High), lit yellow when set to L (Low), and flashes yellow when set to SL
(Min.).

Setting the timer2.
To set the timer, press the Timer Setting button. Each time the button is pressed, the
setting cycles from 2H (off after 2 hrs.) →4H (off after 4 hrs.) →CONT. (continuous
operation). The indicator is lit yellow when set to 2H (off after 2 hrs.), flashes yellow
when set to 4H (off after 4 hrs.), and is not lit when set to CONT. (continuous
operation).

The Power/Water indicator (P/E)
When the indicator is lit, this indicates that the water level in the tank is low.
When the water level in the water tank and water tub becomes low, the alarm
makes a sound with five beeps, and the Power/Water indicator (P/E) is lit red.
After draining any water remaining in the water passage, refill the water tank with new1
clean water.
When water reaches the hybrid humidifier from the water tank, the Power/Water indicator2
(P/E) turns off.
Press the Power button to start operation.3

Using the Aroma Base
Pull out the felt case from the aroma base holding the hybrid humidifier.1.
Felt case
Soak the felt in the felt case with the aroma oil.2.
Check that felt is inserted in the felt case. Soak the felt with two or three drops of
aroma oil or essential oil (available commercially) while being careful that it does
not spill outside the case. Next, insert the felt case all the way inside the hybrid
humidifier.

Place so that no sections are raised or jutting out from
the indentation in the felt case. If any sections are raised
or jutting out, these could get caught when inserting and
removing the felt case.
CAUTION
Do not insert too much aroma oil or essential oil so that it overflows from the felt•
case.
Always wipe up any aroma oil or essential oil if it spills outside the felt case of the•
aroma base.
Do not insert the aroma base while aroma oil or essential oil is spilt outside the felt•
case of the aroma base.
Do not soak aroma oil using a fabric other than the special felt specifically for this•
product.
This could result in malfunction or damage to the aroma base.
Starting operation3.
To start operation, follow the procedures on page 8. Enjoy the mist containing the
aromatic fragrance.
If aroma oil is not added, you can use the hybrid humidifier as a regular humidifier.
Replacing the Felt
Replace the felt whenever it becomes dirty, or when using a different type of*
aroma oil or essential oil.
In addition to the felt already included with the aroma base at purchase, two*
additional pieces are also included.
The felt cannot be washed and used again.*

Insert the felt so that it fits under the clips in the felt case.*

Wash the felt case with a neutral cleanser, and carefully wipe up any moisture*
before inserting it into the aroma base by following steps 1 and 2.
The Replacement Felt AF-04 is sold separately.*
Handling of aroma oils and essential oils
Do not expose the oils to open flame.*
Store in a location that is out of the reach of children.*
If oils are spilled on clothes or other objects, rinse with a lot of water and allow to*
air dry. Do not use a dryer. This could cause the object to ignite.
If any oil gets on your hands, wash them immediately.*
For further details about the handling of aroma oils and essential oils, refer to the*
supplied manual.
Cleaning and Storage
WARNING
After taking out the water tank, do not touch the metal parts inside the hybrid•
humidifier.
Before cleaning, always stop operation, unplug the power cord, and allow the•
inside of the hybrid humidifier to cool (about 10 minutes).
After cleaning, be sure to always remount the parts in their original locations.•
Cleaning the Hybrid Humidifier (at least twice a week)
Fully drain the water left inside the hybrid humidifier.
When draining the water, be sure to drain it in the direction of the arrow shown*
on the humidifier body.
Draining the water in a direction other than the direction of the arrow can result
in malfunction of the hybrid humidifier.
Be sure to always attach
the water passage cover
when using.
If the water passage cover was removed, be sure to reattach it. Otherwise, this*
can cause a water leak.
If the water passage cover is not attached correctly, hot water can overflow from*
the hybrid humidifier body.

Drain the water, and dry thoroughly.*
Clean the air inlet filter at the bottom of the hybrid humidifier.*
Use a vacuum cleaner or other method to clean off the dust on the filter.
Cleaning the Water Tank (at least twice a week)
Fill up the water tank with water, close the water tank cap, thoroughly shake the
water tank, and then drain. (Repeat this two or three times.)
Be sure to always wash the water tank with water at room temperature.*
Washing the water tank with hot water can cause it to deform. Do not wash with
cleansers or other solvents. These substances can cause the hybrid humidifier to
break down.
CAUTION
Before using a cloth containing chemical substances, check its safety information.•
Otherwise, discoloration or scratches could result.
Replace the water in the water tank and water tub with new clean water everyday.•
Perform cleaning regularly to ensure that the inside of the hybrid humidifier is
always clean.
Never use juice or other drinking fluids, hot water (40°C or higher), or water mixed•
with chemical products, fragrances (such as aroma oil), or cleanser.

Replacing the Ceramic Disc
The ceramic disc has an expected service life of about 3,000 hours. If the ceramic
disc is used longer than this, the amount of mist generated can drop or fail to be
generated at all. When this happens, replace the ceramic disc (sold separately) using
the procedure below. (See the figure below.)
Turn off the power, unplug the power cord, and drain the water.a)
Use the special tool to turn the ring holder counter-clockwise, and then removeb)
the ring holder and ceramic disc from the hybrid humidifier body.
To attach the replacement part, perform the removal procedure in reverse toc)
attach to the ultrasound vibration plate, and use the special tool to tighten the
ring holder.
Note: 1. The replacement ceramic disc is protected by a rubber ring to prevent
breakage. When attaching, remove the rubber ring while being careful
not to damage the ceramic disc.
2. The ceramic disc has a front side and back side. When attaching it, do
so with the front side visible.
When replacing, completely dry the inside.

Storage
Perform care and cleaning by following the procedures in “Cleaning and Storage”,
and fully wipe up any moisture inside the hybrid humidifier body, allow it to dry
completely in the shade, and then pack it back in the original product box with the
User’s Manual, and store it in a location with low humidity.
Before Requesting Repairs or Service
WARNING
This product can be disassembled and repaired by qualified repair technicians only.
If you find any problems, follow the troubleshooting procedures below.
