achgemäßer Gebrauch
Verwenden Sie die Grillplatte nur zu
dem Elektro-Grill KM 410 / KM 411.
Bei der Benutzung des Grills muss
das Grillbecken immer mit Wasser
gefüllt sein.
Lesen Sie vor dem ersten Benutzen
aufmerksam die Sicherheitshinweise
und Warnungen sowie die Anwen-
dungshinweise in Ihrer Gebrauchsan-
weisung zu dem Elektro-Grill
KM 410 / KM 411. Dadurch schützen
Sie sich selbst und vermeiden Schäden
an Ihrem Gerät.
Vor dem ersten Benutzen
Vorinformationen
Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchsanwei-
sung auf, und geben Sie diese einem
eventuellen Nachbesitzer weiter.
Erste Reinigung
Vor dem ersten Benutzen sollten Sie
Ihre Grillplatte mit Spülmittellauge reini-
gen und danach trockenreiben.

Bedienung
Vor jedem Benutzen
Beim Braten können Sie entweder auf
der glatten oder auf der geriffelten Seite
der Grillplatte garen.
Wir empfehlen die geriffelte Seite für
unpaniertes Fleisch, die glatte Seite für
jedes andere Gargut.
Für das Braten auf der Grillplatte entfällt
der Lavasteinbehälter. Bei der Benut-
zung des Grills muß das Grillbecken
immer mit Wasser gefüllt sein.
o bereiten ie den Grill vor:
^Nehmen Sie den Rost bzw. die Grill-
platte ab, klappen Sie den Heizkör-
per hoch und nehmen Sie ggf. den
Lavasteinbehälter aus dem Grillbe-
cken.
^Füllen sie das Grillbecken bis zur Ril-
le amit ca. 2,5 Liter Wasser.
^Klappen Sie den Heizkörper wieder
herunter und legen die Grillplatte mit
der gewünschten Seite nach oben
auf.
^Schalten Sie erst jetzt ein.

Braten
o gehen ie vor:
^Heizen Sie das Gerät zum Braten ca.
10 Minuten bei Leistungsstufe "12"
vor.
^Braten Sie das Gargut einige Minuten
bei höchster Leistungsstufe an.
^Schalten Sie dann zurück auf "10"
oder "9" bei Gargut, das zum Ver-
brennen neigt.
^Wenden Sie das Gargut mehrmals
während des Bratens.
Achten Sie während des Bratens da-
rauf, daß immer Wasser im Grillbe-
cken vorhanden ist. Gießen Sie ge-
gebenenfalls Wasser nach.
Tipps zum Braten
– Feuchtes Gargut mit Küchenkrepp
abtupfen, um Spritzer zu vermeiden.
–Mariniertes Fleisch bzw. Fisch erst
nach dem Garen salzen, da es sonst
trocken wird.
–Wir empfehlen das Gargut zu mari-
nieren. Dadurch schmeckt es beson-
ders aromatisch.
–Verwenden Sie nur Fette bzw. Öle,
die hocherhitzbar sind.
–Nicht mariniertes Gargut vor dem
Braten mit etwas Öl bestreichen,
oder beim Braten wenig Öl oder Fett
direkt auf die Grillplatte geben.

Nach dem Braten
o gehen ie vor:
^Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
^Reinigen Sie das Gerät im handwar-
men Zustand nach jedem Benutzen.
^Zum Abheben der Grillplatte benut-
zen Sie den Entnahmegriff.
Reinigung und Pflege
^Reinigen Sie die Grillplatte nach je-
dem Gebrauch in Spülmittellauge
und lassen Sie sie anschließend
gründlich trocken. Stärkere Ver-
schmutzungen weichen Sie am bes-
ten vorher ein und entfernen sie dann
mit einer Bürste.

Advertencias concernientes a
la seguridad
Uso apropiado
Utilice esta plancha únicamente en
combinación con el grill eléctrico KM
410 / KM 411.
Durante la utilización del grill, el reci-
piente inferior deberá estar siempre
llena de agua.
Antes de utilizar el aparato por primera
vez, lea detenidamente las adverten-
cias concernientes a la seguridad, así
como las instrucciones de manejo que
se suministran con el grill eléctrico
KM 410 / KM 411, a fin de protegerse
ud. y evitar daños en el mismo.

Conserve las presentes "Instrucciones
de manejo" para posibles consultas y
entréguelas a un eventual propietario
posterior.
Primera limpieza
Antes de utilizar la plancha por primera
vez, es conveniente limpiarla con agua
jabonosa, y secarla a continuación con
un paño seco.

Manejo
Antes de cada utilizaci n
Para preparar alimentos a la plancha
podrá usar tanto la podrá usar tanto la
cara estriada como la cara lisa.
Le recomendamos usar la cara estriada
para carnes sin rebozados, y la cara
lisa para todos los demás alimentos
que quiera preparar sobre la plancha.
Para cocinar sobre la plancha no nece-
sitará el recipiente con las piedras vol-
cánicas. Durante el uso del grill, la ban-
deja inferior deberá estar siempre llena
de agua.
Preparar el grill para su uso:
^Retire la parrilla o la plancha, abata
la resistencia calefactora hacia arri-
ba, y siempre que fuera necesario,
retire el recipiente con las piedras
volcánicas de la bandeja inferior de
la plancha.
^Llene la bandeja inferior de la plan-
cha hasta la marca ranurada a, con
aprox. 2,5 litros de agua.
^Vuelva a abatir la resistencia calefac-
tora hacia abajo y coloque la plan-
cha, con el lado deseado hacia arri-
ba.
^Ahora podrá conectar el aparato.

Preparar alimentos a la
plancha
Siga los siguientes pasos:
^Para cocinar a la plancha, caliente el
aparato previamente durante unos 10
minutos, seleccionando el nivel de
potencia "12".
^Inicie el asado de los alimentos du-
rante algunos minutos a la potencia
máxima.
^A continuación, reduzca la potencia
al nivel "10" ó "9", siempre que se tra-
te de alimentos propensos a quemar-
se fácilmente.
^Durante el proceso de preparación,
es conveniente darle la vuelta repeti-
das veces al alimento.
Cerciórese durante todo el proceso
de preparación que haya siempre
un nivel suficiente de agua en la
bandeja inferior. Si fuera necesario,
añada agua.
Sugerencias para la preparaci n de
alimentos a la plancha
–Para evitar salpicaduras, seque los
alimentos húmedos con algún papel
de cocina.
–Es conveniente sazonar las carnes o
los pescados escabechados o mari-
nados después de prepararlos a la
plancha, a fin de evitar que se se-
quen demasiado.
–Recomendamos marinar los alimen-
tos, ya que de este modo se realzará
especialmente su aroma.
–Utilice únicamente grasas o aceites
que soporten altas temperaturas.
–Rocíe con algo de aceite los alimen-
tos marinados, o ponga algunas go-
tas de aceite o grasa directamente
sobre la plancha, antes de ponerlos
sobre ésta.

Los niveles de potencia indicados son
valores orientativos. La duración del
proceso de preparación a la plancha
dependerá del tipo, de la calidad y del
grosor de los alimentos.

Después del uso de la plancha:
Siga los siguientes pasos:
^Desconecte el aparato.
^Deje enfriar el aparato hasta alcanzar
una temperatura templada, y límpielo
siempre después de cada uso.
^Utilice la empuñadura de extracción
para retirar la plancha.
Limpieza y mantenimiento
^Limpie la plancha después de cada
uso con agua jabonosa, y seque a
continuación con un paño seco. Para
los restos de suciedad más difíciles,
deje en remojo y limpie a continua-
ción con algún cepillo adecuado.
Observe también las indicaciones de
limpieza y mantenimiento de las ins-
trucciones de manejo que se suminis-
tran con el grill eléctrico KM 410 / KM
411.

Correct use
The griddle must only be used in con-
junction with the KM 410 / KM 411
Open Grill.
The grill trough must always be filled
with water when using the grill.
Before using for the first time, read
these operating instructions carefully.
They give information on safety, on the
operation and care of the appliance.
Also read the operating instructions for
the KM 410 / KM 411 Open Grill care-
fully. This way you will avoid the risk of
accidents and damage to the appli-
ance.
Before using for the first time
Note:
Keep these instructions in a safe place
and pass them on to any future user.
Cleaning for the first time
Before using for the first time the grid-
dle should be cleaned using a solution
of warm water and a little washing up
liquid and then dried with a soft cloth.

Operation
Before each use
Either the smooth side or ridged side of
the griddle can be used for grilling
food.
We recommend using the ridged side
for meat which has not been coated,
e.g. with breadcrumbs, and the smooth
side for all other types of food.
The lava rock container is not used
when grilling on the griddle. The grill
trough must always be filled with water
when using the griddle.
Before grilling:
^Take off the rack or the griddle, lift up
the heating element, and take the
lava rock container out of the grill
trough.
^Fill the grill trough up to marker line
awith approx. 2.5 litres of water.
^Lower the heating element again,
and put the griddle over it with the
smooth or ridged side, as required,
facing upwards.
^The grill can now be switched on.

Grilling
Procedure:
^We recommend pre-heating the heat-
ing element at setting "12" for approx.
10 minutes.
^Grill the food for a few minutes at the
highest setting.
^Then switch down to "10" or "9" for
food which tends to burn.
^Turn the food once or more during
grilling.
When grilling, watch the level of wa-
ter in the trough. If necessary, add
more water.
Tips on grilling
– Paper kitchen towel can be used to
dab moist food dry to avoid spitting
during grilling.
–Marinated meat and fish should be
seasoned after grilling to prevent it
drying out too much.
–Marinating often improves the flavour
of food to be grilled.
–Only use fats or oils which can be
heated to a high temperature.
–Food which has not been marinated
should be brushed with a little oil be-
fore grilling, or alternatively add a lit-
tle oil or fat directly to the griddle
during grilling.

After grilling
Procedure:
^Switch the grill off.
^Clean the appliance after each use
while it is still warm to the touch.
^Use the handle to lift the griddle off
the grill.
Cleaning and care
^The griddle must be cleaned after
each use with warm water and a little
washing up liquid. It must then be
thoroughly dried. Stubborn deposits
may need to be wetted first to loosen
the soiling. If necessary a soft brush
may be used to remove them.
