con ained herein can lead o injury and proper y damage. The machine has been designed and buil o
opera e as repor ed below. Any o her use is considered unaccep able. Only qualified personnel can ins all
and service he machine. Always follow acciden preven ion s andards. The manufac urer is relieved from
any responsibili y for injuries and machine, or proper y damage caused by incorrec use of he compressor,
non-compliance or inadequa e compliance wi h he safe y cri eria repor ed herein, modifica ions (even minor
modifica ions) and by use of non-original spare par s.
1.1.1. Instructions for safe operation
CAUTION! elow is a list of important instructions for safe use of the compressor.
Follow these instructions carefully. Improper use or maintenance of the compressor
can cause user injury.
Never Touch any Moving Parts: Never allow par s of he body o come near moving par s of
he machine.
Never Use the Compressor if the Protection Guards have been Removed: Never use
he compressor unless all guards are assembled. If main enance requires removing any of he
guards, make sure ha hey are properly reins alled before s ar ing up he uni . Never bypass
he safe y devices ins alled on he compressor. This is s ric ly forbidden.
Protective Grids: Never inser objec s or body par s in o pro ec ive grids as his can cause
injury and can damage he compressor.
Use the Compressor Correctly: Always opera e he compressor following he ins ruc ions
given in his manual. Never allow children or unau horized people o use he machine. The
compressor is designed and buil solely o produce compressed air. The manufac urer is relieved
from any responsibili y of risks ensuing from any o her use.
Always Wear Eye Protection: Always wear goggles or o her equivalen form of eye
pro ec ion. Do no direc air oward par s of he body, your own or o hers.
Personnel Intervention: Before performing any form of in erven ion, he personnel mus be
aware of all compressor func ions and con rols.

6.1. Characteristic and storage conditions
During periods of inac ivi y, before being unpacked (s orage), he compressor mus be kep a a
empera ure of be ween +5 °C and +45 °C. Pro ec he compressor from humidi y, con amina ion and
ex reme empera ures during ranspor and s orage. A compressor in i s original packaging should be s ored
in a warm, dry and dus -free area. Keep he packaging ma erial, if possible. If no , dispose he packaging
ma erial in an environmen ally-friendly way.
6.2. Transport
To ensure ha he uni is pro ec ed and does no incur shipping damages, he compressor is covered wi h a

6.4. Handling
Use he appropria e handles for lif ing and moving.
6.5. Connection and start-up
6.5.1. Compressed air connection
The given appliance appara us should be connec ed o he OUT quick coupler, as his is he ou le for
compressed air.
The hose connecting the compressor equipment must not pass through a cold
environment, i.e. placed on the ground. It should be as short as possible with no
kinks (this may cause water to condensate inside the hose)
6.5.2. Electrical connection
The compressor comes with a plug containing an appropriate protective contact
(ground.) Follow the local electrical regulations. The voltage and frequency of the
mains must comply with the specifications on the data label.
The electrical cord must not be stressed or have any tension exerted upon it, and
must always be free.
•The socke mus be accessible for safe y reasons so ha he equipmen can be safely disconnec ed
from he power supply in case of an emergency.
•The relevan curren circui mus be pro ec ed.
•Connec ion of he ground connec ion o o her equipmen mus adhere o local elec rical regula ions.
•Fas en he elec rical cord hrough he holder.

6.5.3. Start-up
When starting up the unit for the first time, make certain that the power supply
matches the requirements indicated on the label.
CAUTION! Carefully comply with the SAFETY WARNINGS regarding use of the
machine.
For the European market, the tanks are complaint with Directive 2014/29/CE while
the compressors are built in compliance with Directive 2014/68/CE.
The electrical connection to the electrical line is carried out by the end user. He bear
the costs and responsibility for quality and compliance standards, which must be
performed by trained personnel in accordance with accident prevention regulations
EN 60204
•Check ha he connec ion o he compressed air supply is correc .
•Check for proper connec ion o he main power supply.
•Swi ch on he bu on swi ch o posi ion “I”. The compressor will be opera ional once i is pu in o
opera ion. If here is no air consump ion a he ou pu , he device swi ches o STANDBY mode.
•When air consump ion resumes, he compressor au oma ically swi ches on. During opera ion, he
device drains off he en rapped condensed wa er from pneuma ic circui s via au oma ic fil er
separa ors in o a ank. Af er he compressor is pu in o opera ion, i shall work in one of he
following modes depending upon he pressure level in he cen ral dis ribu ion and upon air
consump ion.
•STANDBY – When here is sufficien pressure in he cen ral air dis ribu ion line, he main swi ch is
on, he compressor is idle. The device opera es as a s andby source of air as i checks he pressure
in he cen ral air dis ribu ion line and, if he pressure falls, he compressor swi ches on.
6.6. Switching compressor on
In case of emergency, switch the equipment off at the switch and pull the main
power plug out
The compressor is swi ched on a he main power swi ch by pu ing i in posi ion "I".
Compressor opera ion is au oma ic. The compressor runs permanen ly, when air consump ion is lower han
he se poin ; once se poin is reached he opera ion is swi ched o idle run. The pressure gauge displays
he value of ou pu pressure. When air consump ion s ops, he compressor shall swi ch off af er some
seconds and swi ch on af er air consump ion is res ored.
The condensed liquid drains in o a ank a he back of he device. When he ank fills up, i mus be
emp ied.

6.7. Connection to DMA-80 unit
efore to connect the gas supply to the unit be sure that the horizontal pneumatic
cylinder of the DMA-80 EVO is perfectly aligned with the catalyst oven entrance.
The pressure will push suddenly the cylinder to the catalyst flange.
To avoid damages to the DMA-80 EVO pressure regulator diaphragm , open the
compressor ball valve only when the DMA-80 EVO unit and the Terminal are
communicating, then check the pressure as explained below.
•The compressor already comes wi h he proper working pressure sui able for opera ing wi h he
DMA-80 uni . However a double check is always recommended
•Take he gas ube 6/4 included in he accessories box of he DMA-80 uni and connec he male
connec or o he inle of he DMA-80 uni
•The o her end of he ube has o be connec ed o he ou le of he air compressor.

•Connec he power cord
•A his poin , before swi ching on he compressor, make sure ha he ou le ball valve is closed. This
will avoid excessive pressure o he DMA-80 uni in case of bad regula ion of he manome er.

•Swi ch on he compressor and check he pressure on manome er reaches 4-5 bars.
•Af er ha , open he ou le valve ball
6.8. Cleaning and disinfection
Keeping he ins alla ion si e and he compressor clean is essen ial for good working opera ion and keeps
opera ing and main enance cos s down.
Ins alla ion si e and compressor disinfec ion is essen ial o guaran ee good air quali y in he compressor
room and in he area where he compressed air is used.
6.9. Reinstallation and reuse
Reins alla ion and reuse of he machine mus be performed by qualified personnel and only af er checking
he condi ion of he machine i self. The poin s indica ed in he previous chap ers hold here as well.
6.10. Demolition and disposal
If he compressor is o be demolished and disposed, his mus be performed in compliance wi h curren
regula ions. Always con ac an au horized was e disposal and recycling facili y.
