1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The USB-RS485 ISO converter allows you to connect legacy serial devices with RS485
half-duplex interface to the USB port. It adds COM port to your computer. It provides
isolated output with 2-pin terminal block connector for RS485 communications and USB-A
plug is provided for USB communications.

2. DRIVER INSTALLATION
When setting up this converter for the first time, you have to install the device drivers before
connecting the converter to your computer.
Please proceed with the following steps to install the device driver:
1. Please insert the CD as bound with USB-RS485 ISO converter into your CD/DVD ROM,
and run the "CDM v (latest version) WHQL Certified.exe" file locate within the CD driver.
Run as administrator. Click ‘Extract’ button to proceed.

2. Click ‘Next’ to proceed.
3. Wait while the device drivers are being installed.

4. Once installation is complete, Windows will notify you that it has finished installing the
software. Click ‘Finish’ to close the installation wizard.
Checking the device driver installation
1. Connect the USB-RS485 ISO converter to the USB port of computer.
2. Go to “Control Panel” “Device Manager”. You can see the list of all hardware devices
installed on your computer.
3. If you see “USB Serial Port” listed under “Ports (COM & LPT)” and “USB Serial
Converter” listed under “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”, Installation is complete!

3. HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Step 1: Connect USB port of the converter to the USB port of computer.
After connecting the USB to serial converter, then a message as “Installing
Device Driver Setup” will pop-up on screen. However, the device driver needs to
be installed in computer in advance.
Step 2: Connect the Serial device to the converter using serial cable.
