unified pointand clickviewofallITassetstogetherwiththeir assigned remote
access services. AccessITisa single sign-in solution makingit simple and easyfor
ITstafftoenterthe systemregardless oftheir location atanygiven moment.
AccessITmanagesremoteaccess to up to 250mission-criticalITand network
devicesofthe business whethertheyareinside the serverroomordistributed
aroundthe organization orbranch offices. These can include:servers, virtual
servers,IP-enabled KVMswitches,routers, firewalls,serialconsole servers,
networkswitches, printers,powerdistribution units(PDUs), environmentaldevices
(sensors),surveillance IP camerasand more.
AccessITprovidesunique seamless (one-click)accessto ITassetsthrough a select,
predefined listofAccess Services™thatinclude:RDP, VNC, VMware ESX
Server,VMware Server1x and 2x, SSH,Telnet, HPiLOand KVM(Minicomor

4.Setting up thesystem
Setup the MinicomIP device systemsaccordingto their UserGuide instructions.
In orderto be managed byAccessIT, all MinicomIP devicesmustbe configured to
be Centralized Managementenabled. Thisisdone fromthe NetworkConfiguration
page ofeach IP device. Forexample, see the Centralized Managementsection in
Figure 10, Centralized Managementisenabledbyselectingthe Enable
Centralized Management checkbox.
Figure10 NetworkConfigurationpagesample
Also in the Centralized Managementsection in Figure10, specifyhowthe
AccessITManagerdetectsthe IP device. Thiscan be done eitherby:
Manager Auto Discovery – when checked, AccessITautomaticallydetectsthe IP
device ifitresideson the same networksegment.
Manager IP– Ifthe IP device resideson adifferentsegment, type the static IP
address ofthe AccessITManager. (We advise typingthe static IP addressofthe
AccessITManagereven if the IP device resideson the same networksegmentas
the AccessITManager).
Install 3rd partyaccess servicesin all clientworkstationsaccordingto theirown
installation and configuration instructions. See section 10.3 on page 55 fordetails
required forthe integration ofthe Access servicesinto the AccessITsystem.
