MJI-1500-01

Misuse of MJI-1500-01 may result in danger to the user. We urge you to pay special
attention to all CAUTION and WARNING statements.
CAUTION statements identify conditions or practices that may result in damage to
MJI-1500-01 or to other equipment. WARNING statements identify conditions that may
result in personal injury or loss of life.
This chapter contains important safety and operating instructions. Read and keep this
Owner’s Guide for future reference.
Before installing and using the MJI-1500-01, read all instructions and cautionary
markings on the MJI-1500-01 and all appropriate sections of this guide.
MJI-1500-01 generates the same potentially lethal AC power as a normal household
wall outlet. Please use it carefully like using a normal AC socket on the wall.
Do not insert any foreign objects into MJI-1500-01’s AC outlets, its DC Power
Socket, or the ventilation holes. Do not remove the covers on the High Power DC
Terminals, unless connecting cables. Do not expose MJI-1500-01 to water
Do not, under any circumstances, connect the MJI-1500-01’s AC receptacle to power
utility AC distribution wiring.
Failure to follow the above safety instructions may result in personal injury and/or
damage to MJI-1500-01.
Do not use MJI-1500-01 where there are flammable fumes or gases, such as in the
bilge of a gasoline powered boat, or near propane tanks. Do not use MJI-1500-01 in
an enclosure containing automotive-type lead acid batteries. These batteries, unlike
the sealed battery pack in the MJI-1500-01, vent explosive hydrogen gas, which can
be ignited by sparks from electrical connections.
When working on electrical equipment always ensure someone is nearby to help you
in an emergency.
MJI-1500-01’s internal inverter components may become uncomfortably warm,
reaching 140oF(60oC) under extended high power operation. Ensure at least 15 cm (6
in) of air space is maintained on all sides and on top of MJI-1500-01.
During operation, keep away from materials that may be affected by high
temperatures such as blankets, pillows and sleeping bags.
The MJI-1500-01 is not intended for use in connection with life
support systems or other medical equipment or devices.
WARNING: Limitations on use
WARNING: Shock or fire hazard
WARNING: Electric Shock Hazard
WARNING: Heat Hazard

2.Jump Start:
Jump start in this system could start 12V vehicle and boat battery, please use cable we
supplied or the standard cables in the market.
Jump right in by reading any of the following steps:
1) Make sure the vehicle/boat is in park and turned off.
2) Make sure all loads are unplugged, all the input power are unplugged.
3) Study all battery manufacturers' specific precautions.
4) Clean the oil spot on the terminals before connecting. Be careful to keep corrosion
from coming into contact with eyes.
5) Locate the system as far away from battery as the cable permit. Never allow clamps
to touch each other or other conducting parts.
6) Check polarity of battery posts. POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery post usually has a
larger diameter post than NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -)post
7) Connect POSITIVE (RED) clamp to POSITIVE (POS, P, +) ungrounded post of
battery. Do not connect clamp to carburetor, fuel lines or sheet metalbody parts.
8) Connect the cable (RED) to the jump start terminal (RED)
9) Connect NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp to vehicle chassis or engine block away from
battery. Do not connect clamp to carburetor, fuel lines or sheet metal body parts.
10) Connect the cable (BLACK) to the jump start terminal (BLACK).
11) Start the engine.
12) If the engine could not be started, please disconnect the cables according to the step
(6) to step (11). Make sure there is no block for connection, and then reconnect the
cables and clamps according to the step (6) to step (11).
13) When the engine is started, it could charge the battery of our system for 5 minutes.
When finishing the charging, disconnect and remove the cables and clamps from the
step (11) to step (6).
WARNING:
WARNING: SHOCK HAZARD
It may cause the phenomenon of sparking discharge.
Jump starting a battery can crank huge surge current through the system, which
is the possibility to cause a fire.
Connect only in the following order and make sure the polarity is correct. The
battery’s positive terminal is identified as being larger in diameter than the
negative terminal. In most vehicles it has a red wire connected to it, Do not
proceed until you are sure you have identified the positive terminal.

CAUTION: Risk of damage to battery
CAUTION: Risk of damage to battery
Charging with the Built-in AC Charger
These charging options are possible with MJI-1500-01:
Charging with the built-in AC Charger.
Charging with solar panels.
All rechargeable batteries gradually discharge when left standing. Periodic
charging is necessary to maintain maximum battery capacity. The AC Charger
built in MJI-1500-01 is designed to regulate the charging process,
ensuring the battery pack is always fully charged, but never overcharged.
To use the built-in AC charger, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect any 12-volt DC accessories and turn the AC Outlets Switch off.
2. Insert the AC charging cable into AC charging interface.
3. Plug the AC charging cable into a standard 230-volt AC receptacle.
4. While the system is charging, the AC charging indicator will be illuminated,
the backlight will be illuminated for 5 seconds and the buzzer beeps. A full
Due to inherent self-discharge, lead acid batteries must be charged at least every 3
months, especially in a warm environment. Leaving a battery ina discharged state, or
not recharging every 3 months, will risk permanent damage.
Do not attempt to charge MJI-1500-01's battery if it is frozen. A frozen battery should
be gradually warmed to 32°F (0°C) before charging.

recharge will take up to 24 hours.
5. The battery indicator will be dynamically displayed the battery level during
charging stage.
12/24V solar panels rated to produce a maximum of 20 amps can be used to
charge MJI-1500-01 via the solar charging input. To charge with solar panel,
follow these steps:
1. Disconnect any 12-volt DC accessories and turn the AC Outlets Switch off.
2. Plug the provided 25' solar cables into the solar charging inputs correctly.
3. Plug the other end of the solar cable into the output of the provided 60W solar
panels.
4. While the system is charging, the solar charging indicator will be illuminated,
the backlight will be illuminated for 5 seconds and the buzzer beeps. With
direct sunlight, a typical 3.5 Amp solar panel (60W foldable panel)
will take up to 40 hours*.
5. The battery indicator will be dynamically displayed the battery level during
charging stage.
Note: Battery Level Indicator readings will not be accurate until the batteries have
“rested” for 15 minutes after charging.
Charging with Solar Panels
Note: Anti-reverse connectors will make sure the polarity is correct.
A solar panel (PV panel) is made of the natural element, silicon, which becomes
charged electrically when subjected to sun light. The intensity of the Sun's radiation
changes with the hour of the day, time of the year and weather conditions. Measurement
conditions under irradiance level of 1000W/m , air mass 1.5 Spectrums, cell
temperature of 77°F (25°C). Defined as standard deviation of thousands measurements.
Absolute power values depend on the measuring system. They can differ by +/- 5% from
one measuring system to another. The measured charging time is for reference only.
