The OpenBAS-HV-WLSTH works in the 433 MHz unlicensed band providing a RF link
with a matched receiver to up to 100 meters in line of sight applications and 50 meters
indoors.
When used in wireless applications it is powered by two AA alkaline batteries which
provide , up to two years of operation, depending on the transmission rate that can be set
between a 10-30 seconds periods.
The thermostat can also be optionally powered by any external power supply (not included)
that provides any voltage between 9-24 Volts either AC or DC. Power consumption is very
low, being only 0.0005 VA when used wireless and 0.05 VA when used with the RS485
wired interface
To integrate the wireless temperature / humidity transmitter into any NX controller with an
I2C connector, the OpenBAS-HV-RF433R receivers can receive the signal from up to 10
transmitters into the NX controllers and send their information via the I2C bus

It also comes standard with an integrated RS485 port supporting multiple protocols such as:
BACnet/MSTP, Modbus-RTU, Optomux, N2-Open and terminal ASCII mode.
Either wireless or wired it can be integrated to any network and used as a standard
temperature and humidity transmitter or using all its integrated features and user available
set points, be used as a powerful yet easy to set environment HVAC controller.
It is fully addressable, when used wirelessly it can be programmed into a group out of 10,
and each group can have up to 99 individual addresses.
When used wired it can be set an address depending on the protocol between 1 and 199.

In the case the actuator is of the incremental type, and has an open and close terminals
which are driven by two of the relays from the controller, the VAV/F&C controller will
automatically turn the corresponding output on and off for a certain period of time to
position the actuator.
If the actuator has a feedback resistor mounted directly on the shaft the controller uses this
as a feedback reference.
If the pressure sensor is used, the pressure differential will be used to calculate the current
position of the valve for pressure independent VAV box control.

NOTE:
Each Wireless group can have up to 199 addresses, so up to 1990 transmitters can
theoretically be installed within a 100 meters radius of the transmitter’s wireless
range without addressing issues for the 10 groups.
However it is not recommended to have two transmitters with the same group/address
pair within the 100 meters range of each transmitter to avoid a receiver to receive the
packages from two different transmitters with the same group/address pair which
could cause erratic operation in the receiver’s logic.
Wireless transmission time interval
This interval can be set to be 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds. Having a shorter interval between
transmissions will decrease the latency for the receiver to have more frequent samples per
minute, but will as well reduce battery life, increasing the transmission time will have the
opposite effect.
The transmitter has an internal random time shifting algorithm that modifies the
transmission interval within a ±20% range to avoid repeated over the collisions of two
nearby transmitting sensors with the same interval period. The default value is 20 seconds.
/
Select the desired transmission time interval using the INC and DEC buttons.
To jump to the next parameter press the ON/OFF button. If no button activity is detected
within 20 seconds the thermostat will revert automatically to normal operation mode.

The battery voltage is visible on this screen; the voltage is shown without decimal points so
for example a value of 33 means 3.3 Volts.
/
When the voltage falls below a voltage that indicates that 90% of the energy of the battery
has been depleted, a low battery sign will blink on the main display while the transmitter is
operating in normal mode.
/
Any time this message blinks on the screen, the battery life will only last between 1-2 more
months.
