The AM 80MKII can be connected either to a subwoofer RCA jack using the LINE IN input or to a speaker OUT terminal of the main
amplifierparalleltothemainspeakersusingtheHI-LEVELINinput.PleasedoneveruseLINEINEandHI-LEVELINatthesametime!
Firstoperation:
For the first installation the LEVEL control should be adjust to MIN. The crossover control should be adjust to 180 Hz, the PHASE switch
shouldbeturned to 0 deg. After connecting the AM 80MKII, the main amplifier can be turnedon.Nowyoucanturnthe POWER switch
to ON .Then turn the LEVEL control clockwise to the prefered bass volume. Using the CROSSOVER control and the PHASE switch the
subwoofer can be matched optimal to the satellites / main speakers. Turning the POWER switch to AUTO, the AM 80MKII will start
togetherwithyoursoundsystem.
HI-LEVEL IN
(Niedrige Impedanz / Low impedance)
Sind am Steuergerät keine Vorverstärkeraus-
gänge vorhanden, kann der Subwoofer hier
über die Lautsprecherausgänge angeschlossen
werden.
HI-LEVEL OUT
Anschlüsse für Satelliten. Das Musiksignal des
High-Level Eingangs steht hier für Satelliten zur
Verfügung.
LINE IN (Hohe Impedanz / High impedance)
Anschluss des Subwoofers über den Vorver-
stärkerausgang des Steuergerätes.
CROSSOVER (Aktive Weiche / active crossover)
Die Trennfrequenz der eingebauten aktiven Subwoofer-
weiche kann hier stufenlos zwischen 40 Hz bis 180 Hz
eingestellt werden.
Spannungswahlschalter /
voltage selector
Mit dem Spannungswahlschalter kann der Ver-
stärker auf die landesübliche Spannung des Strom-
netzes eingestellt werden.
ACHTUNG! Die Spannung darf nur auf den Wert
der vorhandenen Stromversorgung eingestellt
werden. Bei falscher Einstellung kann der Ver-
stärker zerstört werden.
PHASE (Phasenumkehrschalter / Phase switch)
Der Phasenumkehrschalter vertauscht die Polarität
des Subwoofers. Verwenden Sie die Einstellung
(0 Grad / 180 Grad), bei der die Basswiedergabe
sich am besten in das Klangbild einfügt.
LEVEL (Regler für Eingangsempfindlichkeit / Level control)
Anpassung der Lautstärke des Subwoofers an die Gesamtlautstärke.
Bei hörbaren Verzerrungen muss der Regler solange in Richtung MIN
gedreht werden, bis keine Verzerrungen mehr zu hören sind.
Power OFF / AUTO / ON
Schaltet den Verstärker aus, auf automatische
Einschaltung (wenn ein Musiksignal anliegt) oder
auf permanent eingeschaltet.
Adjusting the Level control will match the subwoofer to the output of
the receiver. If there are any distortion, please adjust the level control
counterclockwise to eliminate any distortion.
The cut off frequency of the built in active crossover can
be changed between 40Hz and 180 Hz.
Connect the subwoofer using the pre-amplifier-
output (RCA jacks) of the receiver.
If the receiver does not have any pre-amplifier-
output (RCA jacks), the subwoofer can be con-
nected to the speaker output using this
High-Level input.
Connectors for satellite speakers. The music
signal from the High-Level Input can be used
through this connectors for satellites speakers.
Voltage selector to select the current voltage.
ATTENTION! The selection must accore
to the current voltage. Otherwise
the amplifier will be damaged !
Switch can be set to Off, Auto (turns amplifier
automatically to on, if music signal reaches the
amplifier) or to permanent activated amplifier.
The phase switch inverts the polarization of the
subwoofer. Please use position (0 deg / 180 deg),
that reproduces the most harmonic sound.
Stromversorgung / Power supply
Anschluss eines Stromkabels mit Kaltgerätestecker. Anschluss nur an die am Spannungswahlschalter
eingestellte Spannung. Ersatz der Sicherung nur mit T 1 A, 250 V. Bei wiederholtem Durchbrennen
der Sicherung bitte vom Fachhändler prüfen lassen.
Connecting port for powersupply-wire using IEC socket. A power connection only using the voltage
selected by the voltage selector is strictly recommended. Replacemant of the fuse only with T 1 A, 250 V.
