Sehr geehrter Kunde. Mit dem AM 120 haben Sie einen hochwertiges Aktivmodul für aktive Subwoofer erworben. Bitte lesen
Sie die folgenden Hinweise aufmerksam durch!
Einbau des AM 120 (Gilt nur für Einzelmodul)
Das AM 120 Modul ist für den Einbau in aktive Subwoofer vorge-
sehen. Am besten eignet sich die Rückwand zum Einbau. WICHTIG!
Das AM 120 muß so eingebaut werden, daß bei der Aufstellung
mindestens 10 cm Abstand zur nächsten Begrenzungsfläche gewahrt
bleiben. Für den Einbau wird in das Gehäuse ein rechteckigen
Ausschnitt mit den Maßen 218 x 218 mm gesägt. Das AM 120 wird
in den Ausschnitt eingesetzt und festgeschraubt. Das Basschassis des
Subwoofers wird mit dem Kabel auf der Innenseite des AM 120
angeschlossen (grosser Flachstecker = PLUS).
Anschluss des AM 120 über den Hochpwegeleingang (Abb. 1).
Das AM 120 Modul wird mit den SPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS an die
Lautsprecherausgänge des Verstärkers angeschlossen. Bitte benutzen
Sie nie LINE LEVEL INPUTS und SPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS
gleichzeitig!
Anschluss des AM 120 über den Line Eingang (Abb. 2).
Das AM 120 wird über den Subwooferausgang des Verstärkers
(Cinch) über LINE LEVEL INPUT angeschlossen. Bitte benutzen Sie nie
LINE LEVEL INPUTS und SPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS gleichzeitig!
Inbetriebnahme:
Der LEVEL Regler wird auf Anschlag MIN, der LOW PASS
o
FREQUENCY Regler auf 180 Hz, der PHASE Schalter auf 0°°
eingestellt. Nach Anschluss aller notwendigen Leitungen an das AM
120 kann der Hauptverstärker / Receiver eingeschaltet werden.
Verwenden Sie maximal eine mittlere Lautstärke. Nun stellen Sie den
POWER - Schalter des AM 120 auf ON .Den LEVEL Regler vorsichtig
nach rechts drehen, bis die gewünschte Lautstärke des Basses erreicht
ist. Mit dem LOW PASS FREQUENCY Regler und dem PHASE
Schalter kann das AM 120 an die Hauptlautsprecher / Satelliten
angepasst werden. Stellen Sie den POWER Schalter auf AUTO, wird
das AM 120 zusammen mit der Hauptanlage eingeschaltet.

the mounting of the AM 120. IMPORTANT! The distance of the AM 120 outer surface to any wall must be more than 10 cm.

Das Aktivmodul darf NUR in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn es in ein Gehäuse eingebaut und
ein Lautsprecherchassis korrekt angeschlossen ist! Das Aktivmodul darf NICHT in Feuchträumen
in Betrieb genommen werden oder wenn es nass geworden ist!
Das Aktivmodul darf NUR von autorisiertem Fachpersonal geöffnet werden!
It is ONLY allowed to use the amplifier if it is mounted in an cabinet and a speaker is connected
correctly ! It is NOT allowed to use the amplifier in moisted rooms or if the amplifier module is wet.
Please do NOT open the cover or back. Servicing of the amplifier ONLY by qualified personel!

SPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS
Sind am Steuergerät keine Vorverstär-
kerausgänge vorhanden, kann der Sub-
woofer hier über die Lautsprecheraus-
gänge angeschlossen werden.
OUT TO SPEAKERS
Anschlüsse für Satelliten. Das Musik-
signal des High-Level Eingangs steht
hier für Satelliten zur Verfügung.
LINE LEVEL INPUTS
Anschluss des Subwoofers über den Vorverstärkeraus-
gang des Steuergerätes. Bei Mono-Subwooferaus-
gängen nur den Anschluss MONO anschliessen.
LOW PASS FREQUENCY
(Aktive Weiche / active crossover)
Die Trennfrequenz der eingebauten
aktiven Subwooferweiche kann hier
stufenlos zwischen 40 Hz und180 Hz
eingestellt werden.
PHASE (Phasenumkehrschalter / Phase switch)
Der Phasenumkehrschalter vertauscht die Polarität
des Subwoofers. Verwenden Sie die Einstellung
(0 Grad / 180 Grad), bei der die Basswiedergabe
sich am besten in das Klangbild einfügt.
SUBWOOFER LEVEL (Regler für Eingangsempfindlichkeit /
Level control) Anpassung der Lautstärke des Subwoofers an die
Gesamtlautstärke. Bei hörbaren Verzerrungen muss der Regler so-
lange in Richtung MIN gedreht werden, bis keine Verzerrungen mehr
zu hören sind.

Power OFF / AUTO / ON
Schaltet den Verstärker aus, auf automatische
Einschaltung (wenn ein Musiksignal anliegt) oder
auf permanent eingeschaltet.
Adjusting the Level control will match the subwoofer to the output of
the receiver. If there are any distortion, please adjust the level control
counterclockwise to eliminate any distortion.
The cut off frequency of the built in ac-
tive crossover can be changed between
40 Hz and 180 Hz.
Connect the subwoofer using the pre-amplifier-output
(RCA jacks) of the receiver. If a mono-subwoofer pre-
out is used, connect only to MONO line input.
If the receiver does not have any pre-
amplifier-output (RCA jacks), the sub-
woofer can be connected to the spea-
ker output using this High-Level input.
Connectors for satellite speakers. The
music signal from the High-Level Input
can be used through this connectors
for satellites speakers.
Switch can be set to Off, Auto (turns amplifier
automatically to on, if music signal reaches the
amplifier) or to permanent activated amplifier. The phase switch inverts the polarization of the
subwoofer. Please use position (0 deg / 180 deg),
which gives the most harmonic sound.

To mount the AM 120 in an cabinet you need to make a mounting hole with the dimensions 218 x 218 mm. The AM 120 has then to be
mounted with screws. The inner wire must be connected to the cabinets woofer (the larger plug is PLUS).

The AM 120 must be connected to the speaker OUT terminals of the amplifier using the SPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS. Satellites must be
connected to the OUT TO SPEAKERS terminals of the AM 120. Please do never use LINE LEVEL INPUT and SPEAKER LEVEL INPUT at
the same time!

The AM 120 must be connected to a subwoofer RCA jack using the LINE LEVEL INPUT . Please do never use LINE LEVEL INPUT and
SPEAKER LEVEL INPUT at the same time!
First operation:
For the first installation the LEVEL control should be adjust to MIN. The crossover control should be adjust to 180 Hz, the PHASE switch
should be turned to 0 deg. After connecting the AM 120, the main amplifier can be turned on. Now you can turn the POWER switch to
ON .Then turn the LEVEL control clockwise to the prefered bass volume. Using the LOW PASS FREQUENCY control and the PHASE switch
the subwoofer can be matched optimal to the satellites / main speakers. Turning the POWER switch to AUTO, the AM 120 will start
together with your sound system.
