Please observe the following safety instructions.
2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety
azThis device may only be repaired by specialist personnel.
Inadequate repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
zDon’t place the device in the trunk of your car.
zEnsure that the ventilation slots are not covered.
zPersons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge prevents them
from using the appliance safely should not use this appliance
without initial supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
zElectronic devices are not toys!
Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children.
zThe cooling device is not suitable for transporting caustic
materials or materials containing solvents.
zFood may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable
containers.
ezOnly connect the device as follows:
– With the cable supplied (fig. 12, page 3) to the cigarette light-
er in the vehicle or a 12 V plug socket in the vehicle
zDo not pull the plug out of the cigarette lighter or the socket by
the cable.
zIf the connection cable is damaged, it must be replaced to
prevent possible electrical hazards.
zPull out the connection cable:
– Before cleaning and maintenance
– After use
zIf the cooler is connected to the 12 V plug socket: disconnect
the cable or switch off the cooler when you turn off the engine.
Otherwise the battery may be discharged.
zOn boats: if the device is powered by the mains, ensure that the
power supply has a ground fault interrupter circuit. Danger of
fatal injuries!
zCheck that the voltage specification on the type plate
corresponds to that of the energy supply.
