Unboxing
Remove all 4 cardboard wall protectors by lifting
them up, one at a time, out of the box.
DO NOT discard these protectors, they will be
used to packaging if you are returning a system.
(See part 5 for returns)
You are now able to remove the cutting system
from the box. Lift the cutter from the machine.
DO NOT lift from the tablet panel or foam end
protectors. Use Safe Lifting practices. The entire
assembly weighs 18.14 Kg / 40 lbs.

Before starting the Setup
Make the following preparations before starting Setup.
•Check that all of the items included in the package. (Please see the User's Manual (PDF).)
For the Parts Names, please see the User's Manual (PDF).
•Assemble this Cutting Plotter, and set up it. For the assembling procedures, see either Manual attached to the Stand or
User's Manual (PDF).
•To use the Cutting Master 4, previously install the Design application (Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW) that is used.
For the latest supported version, please visit our website.
•When there are virus detection program or system resident program, terminate them beforehand.
•Upon installation, be sure to log into Windows using an account with administrator privileges on your computer.

Usage of the software
Each of the Cutting Plotter Controller/0RELOH2XWILWWHUV Studio software is engaged in various settings on the Cutting Plotter. Do not use
them at the same time.

Attach a tool (cutter plunger, plotter pen) to the plotter.

machine, as shown below. This exposes the USB port for connecting the tablet to the
cutting machine

Load the media according to the instructions given for each type. Use the grit roller on the right side of the media (looking

2Set the roll media on top of the stock shaft, and then insert the roll media into the stopper. Once it's set, tighten the
stopper's screws.

both the cutting machine power and tablet power into your wall outlet. If necessary
use the included plug adapters.

3. Aligning the Push Rollers
This section describes how to alignment of the push rollers.

Make sure that all push rollers are on the long right grit roller.Use the left side of the grit roller as a starting point and then
set the push rollers so that they're on both sides of the media.
The settable width of the media is 55 mm or more (Model with 2 push rollers) or 125 mm* or more (Model with 4 push
rollers).

based on the media's width and material type
in order to keep the media in place.

Packing a Return
Push the yellow lever down, to the lower position2)

Place the 2 molded foam ends on machine, NOTE the yellow lever must be
in the DOWN position in order to fit the cutout in foam

Safety Precautions

During a cutting or plotting operation, do not touch
the writing panel or moving parts such as the carriage.

Do not attempt to lubricate the cutting plotter's mechanisms.

During cutting or plotting, provide enough space around
the cutting plotter so that the medium will not hit any
objects in its vicinity.

out of alignment.
When using indoor lighting such as a fluorescent lamp or
an electrical lamp, provide a distance of at least one
meter between the cutting plotter and the light source.

Closer proximity of such a fight source may cause the
sensor to malfunction and prevent proper size detection of
the media.
When using the cutter, be sure not to extend it's
blade more than necessary.
•An overly extended blade will damage the cutting mat
and adversely affect the cutting quality.
When manually moving the pen carriage in order to load a
medium or for other reasons, move the pen carriage
slowly.

Moving it quickly may cause damage to the cutting plotter.
