DETAILED INSTALLATION
Log into laptop as system administrator and go to support page of:
www.displaylink.com/downloads
Click on the desired operating system.

QUICK DRIVER INSTALLATION
Simply right click on the installation file and choose“install it as admin”
follow install instruction to complete installation.
Mac OS user will first install driver by click on the install package
and follow steps through process.

Once installation is complete, open “system preference” and click on
“Security & Privacy”.
Click “lock” logo on the bottom left corner to unlock and make changes
to setting (if needed). Then click the “Allow” button on the bottom.

For Mac OS users (Only for OSX 10.14.4 and earlier):

HOW TO INSTALL
FOR WINDOWS
Note: The screen may flash or go black during the installation.
Double click on Setup.exe. The windows user
account control window opens (is enabled in the
OS).
Click Yes. The displaylink software end user license
agreement windows opens.

Click I accept. Displaylink core software and Displaylink
Graphics installs.

Connect your Displaylink device via the USB cable to your PC.
A message will be shown that Displaylink software is
configuring itself for first use.

The screen should flash and the Displaylink device should
start to extend the Windows desktop.
note: You may need to reboot the computer before you use
the Displaylink enabled device.

Select the latest driver version that matches your operating system and download
driver. The most updated driver is likely on top of the page. Confirm driver is
correct by checking the version, release date and supported Window version.

Go to Security and
Privacy
Click on “System preferences”.
Click on the dmg file to begin installation. Once the installation of the driver
is completed, follow steps as shown below to modify and authorize driver to
be active.

Select the latest driver version that matches your Mac OS version and down-
load driver. We recommend updating the OS to Mojave if it is possible. Newest
driver which runs on Mojave is the most stable version. If you have to stay at
older version of Mac OS, please download the corresponding version of the
driver as stated and follow additional set up instruction as needed.

Plug other end (right angle side) of
USB cable into DUEX PRO.

START UP
When DUEX PRO is being connected for first time, the
logo will flash once and then turn off.
Wait a few seconds (Do not disconnect), DUEX PRO
should power on and be ready for use in a few
seconds.
CAUTION!
After downloaded and installed correct driver from the support
page of www.mobilepixels.us or displaylink.com, attach Duex
Pro to laptop or set it up with kickstand.
Plug appropriate USB (C or A) cable into your laptop.

Adjust DUEX PRO for optimal
viewing angle.

on the area near the
USB connector.

Slide DUEX PRO back.

Close laptop, leave DUEX
PRO attached.

To access presentation mode,
simply swivel DUEX PRO 180
degrees to the back of the
laptop.

Now the surface is fresh and
ready for a new set of plates.

Once the adhesive is warmed
up, it is ready to be removed.A
plastic scraper (not included)
is recommended to remove
the adhesive.

Take DUEX PRO off from the
back of the laptop.
1. Get a hair dryer and set it to
medium heat level (do not use
high heat setting as it may
over heat your own laptop).
Gentlely apply the warm air
across the metal plates to
soften the adhesive material
(don't continuously focus on a
single area).

REMOVING THE METAL PLATES

-Right click on your desktop while Duex Is
connected and hoose “Display Setting”
-Then you should either see this screen or the
one at next Section
-If you have a duplicate screen and want to
change it to extend mode, click on the
“Duplicate these displays” drop down box

-When the drop down box is opened,
choose “Extend these displays”
-Then click “Apply”
-Now you are in Extend Mode

ROTATE DISPLAY AND LAYOUT SET UP
If you are already in “Extend mode” and
want to use Duex on the left
First click on the 2nd screen icon
Then open the Orientation drop down
box and change it from “Landscape” to
“Landscape (flipped)”
Then click “Apply”

-Now your screen is upside down and
ready to be use on the left with 1 extra
step.
-Move the 2nd display icon from the
right to the left of the 1st display by
simply “Drag and Drop” it.
-Click “Apply” to finish the setting of
the lay out.

ADJUST CONTENT &DISPLAY SIZE
- To adjust content size on Duex Pro
monitor, first click on the number “2”
monitor under Display setting.
- scroll down and look for “scale and
layout” options
Scroll Down
- Default size of text is set at 125% and
user can increase it up to 175% or
reduce back to 100% base on user
preference.

DISPLAY SETTING FOR MAC OS
- Click on system preference and go to
Display
- Checking the “Mirror Displays” box
will switch between duplicate and
extend mode for Duex Pro.

ROTATE DISPLAY AND LAYOUT SET UP

- To position the display on either left or
right, simply drag and drop it to the side
you want.

- To rotate the display, go to the “Duex
Pro” display window and choose the
suitable “Rotation” options.

Please disconnect the cables when you
reverse the position of DUEX PRO,
decouple the DUEX PRO from the
backplane of your laptop, rotate 180。
About a vector normal to the backplane,
and re-couple to the backplane of the
laptop computer.
DUEX PRO and accessories contain small
parts that may present a choking hazard
to small children, please keep them out
of reach from small children.
CHOKING HAZARD:
The DUEX PRO contains magnets. The
DUEX PRO also contain components and
radios that emit electromagnetic fields. It
may interfere with personal medical
devices, e.g. pacemakers or defibrilla-
tors. Keep a safe distance between the
DUEX PRO and your medical device.
Consult a physician or medical device
manufacturer for specific details of your
medical device. Stop using DUEX PRO if
the interference is observed with your
personal medical devices.
Items with magnetically-stored data
such as credit cards and hard drives may

the DUEX PRO.

Store DUEX PRO under appropriate
conditions, avoid exposure to extreme
heat, moisture and dust.
We recommend you to place DUEX on a
stable surface and keep your DUEX in a
sleeve to protect it during transport.
Never spill liquid of any kind onto the
surface or into the openings of the DUEX.
Do not spray any cleaner on the screen
to avoid an electric shock. If your DUEX
PRO gets wet, unplug all cables and
reconnect till the DUEX PRO is complete-
ly dry.
Carefully unplug all cables before
cleaning DUEX PRO. Clean with a soft,
dry, lint-free cloth.
To ensure satisfactory experience, use
the DUEX PRO with recommended
display size of your laptop.

click en “Seguridad y Privacidad”.
